Ok, so I gave this theater one more shot. This time, the film was too dim. The projected film was not bright enough. I give up. It’s a much nicer experience sitting on my sofa at home and watching a movie on my big flat screen! And I can even pause the film if I want to go to the kitchen or bathroom. If I go out to the movies again, I’ll try Movie Tavern.

It’s just your average movie theater. I’ve have had problems with screen quality in the past but is not the norm. The seats are your typical movie theater seats and it is clean which is nice. Besides that it’s a movie theater to see new movies nothing more nothing less.

I want to say this place is just your typical average theater but, as the two star rating says: «Meh. I’ve experience better,» basically sums it right up. In fact, it’s a painfully mediocre theater experience. I remember when this place was first built and how excited we all were about it perhaps ten years ago but it seems they have not done any sort of up-keep since. It’s a smaller theater. The seats are comfortable enough but the cinema rooms are completely filthy with all the junk left from the last viewing when you sit down. Clearly they do not bother to clean up in between viewings. When we entered the theater there was sticky drink on the floor, popcorn on the seat, cupholders filled with trash, trash on the ground. I would not even dare put my purse on the floor so I just held it in my lap the whole time. Also, like every girl, I had to run to the bathroom before the movie started and noticed they were also incredibly filthy. I went in at least three stalls before I found one that I could compromise with my comfort zone. Some stalls have those flushable toilet seat covers but many of the stalls were out of them, and out of toilet paper. Basically, you might have to do a little scavenger hunt to find a good stall for a moment or two. Like many theaters, lots of kids get dropped off at this place for their weekend hang outs so be prepared for teenagers and preteens basically taking the entire place over on a Friday or Saturday evening. I only go to this theater when I’m visiting my family because there are not many other options available. I would never go voluntarily on my own accord. I do hear that the Movie Tavern has finally opened nearby and would like to try that instead next time I’m in the area to watch a movie.

Literally cannot go to a movie here on the weekends, absolutely swarmed with kids and families. Fairly clean inside, but they mostly service wider audiences – the majority of their movies are top-tier Hollywood fair, few indies. Probably the worst part is that they have a MONOPOLY in the Covington/Mandeville area, which will hopefully be disrupted by the new theater opening in the old Cinema 12. Do not trust their website for movie times: the website is not updated on-the-fly, and they will tell you at the ticket counter, «Uh, gee, we didn’t know,» without even an apology after you’ve arrived for a showtime an hour off.

Been here a number of times. Gets really packed, but there aren’t any other options, so your best bet is to just find unpopular times or wait for the film demand to die down a bit before attending. Go early — it does sell out!

To bad this is the only theater in the Covington/Mandeville area. The theater is clean and the employees are nice. The issue is that they rob you on the snacks. $ 6 for an icee? Come on man… Just sneak your snacks in until the understand that you can get the same snacks for $ 2 at the Target next door.

I’ve been here twice in the past 10 days and noticed how small and antiquated this theatre is compared to others. The movie theatres themselves are quite small(about 200 seats). The seats are decent but they are old and could use replacement. The lobby is stuck in the 90’s and quite small itself. The ticket counter is limited to one little area consisting of two tellers(or whatever you call them). The concessions are what you will find at every other theatre across the country(no special items sold here). I do wonder why it wasn’t packed on a Friday night and Saturday afternoon. I went opening weekend to see Evil Dead and there was less than a dozen ppl watching it for a 2pm showing. I’m not complaining as we had our choice of seats both times. You would think that an area as prosperous as the Northshore would have more than this one small theatre. It doesn’t. This is what you have to live with unless you want to drive 24 miles to the next nearest theatre.

Average theatre. Comfortable seats. Food and drink prices are really high compared to where I moved here from. I also don’t care for the 30 minutes of previews you have to sit through before the movie starts. My gosh I have never seen so many previews.

This is the only open theater in the area, so be prepared for larger crowds. As is typical of most theaters, your best bet for watching a movie without being crowded is to go during the week. If you can’t do that, go early. On the weekends this theater is packed. Movies will sell out, but you really don’t want to see a new movie on a Saturday anyway. Theaters are kept clean. The food and drinks are typical movie fare. The staff are friendly and helpful.

So many showtimes have been sold out! It gets a little annoying. Also, the multitude of teenagers make going to the movies there a frustrating experience and the snackbar was out of popcorn and hotdogs a couple of times. This area needs another movie theater.
