Holiday Inn Express & Suites Covington

We came to Covington to do some work so I reserved three rooms for all of us. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast satisfied our crew every morning except the day they didn’t have gravy! Lol we will be back again.

Very friendly and clean hotel! Booked by my company for a business trip and my room was very large and spacious. The continental breakfast was more than enough — plenty of selection. The only thing a little disappointing was the «gym”– you can hardly call it that with just two treadmills and an elliptical in a small room. But I guess I didn’t expect much more anyway from a small-​town hotel.
This place does have really wonderful service. I needed a receipt for my stay about a week after I had returned, and when I called them to ask for it they were very kind on the phone and promptly emailed me a receipt. Good customer service will take you far!

I booked an online room so i couldnt back down after i got here. got in the room and it had a king size bed. i always check the room and turned back the covers and there were long hairs in the bed and dust everywhere an inch thick. OMG i couldnt bealive how much hair in the
i told them we need another room .she kindly swapped and the maid look at me like i cleaned that room i said well u missed some. the second room was cleaner but the coffee pot was dirty and the bed was hard. got up and it was supposed to have free breakfast. its 8: am and no ice not coffee nothing. omg no coffee. please use this as a last result. The Ripley tomato festible was going on.

Oh Covington! I have been visiting this area about once a year for most of my 30-​some years and have stayed in several of the hotels in town. My husband and I and our 2 kids drive down once or twice a year and since this place was built we have chosen to stay here. The first time was for the indoor pool, but this is, hands down, the best hotel in town, and I can’t imagine us choosing to stay somewhere else. I know this is a Holiday Inn Express, but honestly, I think it is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, even places that had a higher rating or cost hundreds more.
First of all, the entire hotel is immaculate. I don’t mean hotel-​immaculate, I mean my house when my mother-​in-​law is coming to visit-​immaculate. You know how when you stay at a hotel and even when its clean, you still feel a little weird, like other people’s germs are hiding and waiting for you to lay your toothbrush on the counter by mistake? I’ve never felt that way here; I always feel like its brand new. Secondly, the staff is amazing. To a person, they have been incredibly friendly and accommodating. Thirdly, and my kids’ favorite, the indoor heated pool is actually heated. I think all hotels with indoor pools advertise them as being heated and your kids get super excited and you walk your Minnesota winter-​white February sized body down through the lobby, stick your toes in – to frigid water. Not here! Its as warm as a comfy tub! Even my 2 yo skinny little baby gleefully splashes about.
If you’re heading to Covington to visit your favorite uncle, or for whatever reason, really, this is the only place you want to stay. I only wish that I could bring this place with me to other places I travel.
