I find the standard license plates issued by Louisiana to be boring. I also think they detract from the rear end of an otherwise beautiful automobile. Since I am a lover of the automobile, I want mine to stand out from the crowd and have a plate that compliments the styling of my vehicle. For my last two vehicles I’ve purchased specialty plates and both were bought through this store.
If you want a specialty plate and like convenience, this is the only way to do it. Here’s how: log on to the state omv site, search the specialty plates, find one you like and call this store to see if they have one in stock. If they do, get your current registration, license and proof of insurance and drive to this location.
I’ve visted the store on several occasions and never had to wait more than a few minutes. Both times I wanted a special plate, they had it in stock and I was in and out in under 30 minutes. There is no way I could have gone to the OMV and had that quick service.
The staff here seem to be part of the family that runs the business and all are very helpful and friendly.
There is a premium to pay for the quick and friendly service, but I think it’s worth the extra fee. I only wish they would expand to offering drivers licenses like some title change stores do and have the ability to take orders for personalized plates.

I needed a document notarized and they were close by. At least according to the address. If I had trusted Unilocal’s map, I would have been lost 12 miles away. Hopefully, they’ll take my suggestion to fix the location in a positive manner. Anyway, it’s easy access from 190, by the Lowes. I picked a day when there was only one other person in office. Had my paperwork notarized, nothing fancy. So it was quick in and out, which left me with most of my lunch hour. No complaints.
