Lam Reality was the leasing agent on a house I just left. I am giving them 1 star because they botched my move-out date and cost me extra money. My ex-landlord said to take it up with Lam Reality, Lam said to take it up with the landlord and now there is no reply to emails. When we had problems with our AC in the middle of the hot season they would get a guy that was a over a week out and said for me to call someone if I want it done sooner. Use Lam Reality with caution.

Helen and her daughter, Amy, helped my husband and I buy our first house this year. I actually know Amy through our yoga community, but I trust her enough to do business with her because she is very grounded and ethical, and she has a very clear sense of how things should be done in a complex transaction like buying/selling real estate. In fact, the listing agent(the guy who represented the seller) was very frustrating to work with for various reasons I won’t get into now, and Amy was able to deal with him very professionally. What I liked most about working with Amy and Helen was their responsiveness — they are very prompt in getting back to you and acting quickly when you want to see a property or make an offer. Right now it’s a seller’s market so time is of the essence when it comes to submitting offers and responding to counter offers, etc. We knew the market was very competitive so we didn’t expect to find a property so quickly, but we did. Buying a home is a very stressful process, especially for first-time buyers, so it’s important to find an agent who actually does this for a living and knows the business, rather than someone doing it on the side. That is why we decided to work with Helen and Amy; Helen has been an agent in the San Gabriel Valley for over 20 years, and Amy has worked with her(as well as her brother) for several years as an agent. There is quite a bit of collective experience there.
