Definitely my favorite place to create my own pizza. The pizza flavor and toppings are just perfect. The size of pizza is worth the price as well. Love coming here and enjoying the atmosphere. Great place !

It’s my first time coming here and not leaving with a great mood. We ordered customized pizza and buffalo wings. To be honest, the flavor of pizza and wings are both great, so I will definitely give a 4 stars if that thing doesn’t happen. So when we were waiting for the wings, I actually saw how they cook my wings. When the cook tried to remove the wings from the pan to the box, I guess some of wings kinda stick on the pan. Then I found the cook didn’t even bother to spend a little bit more strength trying to remove the whole wings but just tear them apart. so after he gave me the box, I could see there still many, not a little, meat and chicken skins that left on the pot. Well you can call me overreact, but I was so pissed because chicken skins are the best part! When I ordered the wings, surely I mean the whole wings! I could understand it’s sort of late and people gets tired, but I dislike that kind of attitude toward work.

I work nearby and have been to this place on numerous occasions. The pizza and salad always taste good because they are my creation (duh!). Their customer service is truly top notch. I have never been disappointing with any of my visits to The Artist Pizzeria.

My kids enjoyed building and eating their pizza. Chicken Caesar Salad is also really good. Good service is always a plus.

Craving pizza and beer on a Friday night but didn’t want the typical pizza joint or chain restaurant. Downtown Covina is always a nice way to spend the evening so we ended up at the Artist Pizzeria. The people that work there are really attentive and friendly and the food is good too. We ordered 2 of the make your own pizzas. Both were really good and full of flavor. The hubby ordered the Caesar salad which wasn’t bad (for a salad). The salad comes with an order of garlic bread which was a nice addition. They have beer on tap which is always a plus and although they were busy they still were on top of their service. Will definitely be back!

Great pizzas and flavor however it’s NOT UNLIMITED TOPPINGS … I thought I could have more cheese and they tried to charge me extra for cheese … Enjoy

Beautiful pizza, stellar crust with fresh tasting toppings. Interesting selection of bottled and drafts. Subway meets California Pizza Kitchen. Will want to bring family and friends from out of town just because it is such a gem.

This was my first time at one of these make your own pizza places, although they seem to be popping up everywhere. And let me say, I was impressed! I love that they have turkey sausage! If they ever get turkey pepperoni, I would be in heaven lol.
The pizza was delicious, service was great, and the restaurant is clean. I have checked out other pizza places since and this by far has the best selection of toppings (and the only one with turkey alternatives). Great job! I will come back soon for another great pizza.

I found this place about two months ago and I have probably come here once a week since.
The food is amazing, there’s every pizza topping imaginable, and it’s a good value for a pizza big enough to share with another person. Plus they have delicious sweets, like cookies and cakes!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They’re always checking up on customers and seeing if they need anything. The staff also does a great job of keeping the place sparkling clean, I’ve never even seen a dirty table before.
Overall, I have had nothing but great experiences. I highly recommend coming here.

Buffalo wings and pizza were delicious. Came here after a long tennis match and the food came out promptly after I ordered.
The pepperoni pizza and barbecue chicken pizza were both great, as was the Nutella pizza.

Just like Pieology or Blaze but a nicer facility.
Pizza was good, I dont recall it being any better or worse than Pieology.
Staff did staff things and made a good pizza.
I would return should I be craving pizza in the area.

I have been here multiple times, and i couldn’t believe that I didn’t write a review for this place. This is definitely my favorite «create your own» type of of pizza place. The pizzas here are not overly greasy, they have a nice variety of toppings to choose from, and I like the think crust pizza. I also like their salads which are pretty big and come with garlic bread which is about the size of a pizza. Come here, and you will be satisfied with the overall quality and quantity.
Pros:
Everyone here is really friendly and helpful, and make you feel welcomed.
Nice variety of toppings, not too greasy (I guess that also depends on the toppings you get)
I love their salads and garlic bread.
Nice and clean.
I like this place more so than Blaze, and Pieology.
Cons:
At peak times it gets pretty busy and and you will have to wait a bit for your pizza.
Overall:
I highly recommend coming here especially if you like Blaze or Pieology. The staff is super friendly and helpful and pizzas are very tasty. Its a nice place to chill and have a pizza with good beer.

First Time Review:
Location is on Citrus Ave, just north of Badillo, across the street from the Covina Center.
For Parking: Stay on Citrus and turn left at the first alley way. It will lead you to the parking lot in the back. Or you can stay on Badillo and turn left for the parking lot behind the Covina Center.
This place has very nice patio area and is pretty big inside!!! Décor is bright, clean and modern. Very spacious with a high ceiling. This place can get slammed within minutes so come early.
The Food: My best in and I ordered the Island Pie: Crushed tomato, Mozzarella, Pineapple & Ham; & an order of Buffalo Wings.
Pizza: The order came out really quick and was VERY tasty. I’d order it again!!! Crust is thin but it’s not a cracker and the was plenty of toppings. (Sorry no pix, we dug into it before I even thought of taking one. Same goes with the Wings!)
Wings: The wings were baked!!! This fluffy girl will save the extra calories for dessert. Wings were very tender, full of flavor and juicy. Love the wing sauce!!! I was dipping my crust in it!
Dessert: Save Room !!! Lots of choices. I chose the Tiramisu and bestie chose the Strawberry Cheesecake. I’m not sure if they make their desserts in house. The cheesecake, sad to say was disappointing as it was very dry. (Maybe from sitting in the refrigerated display case.) But the Tiramisu was AMAZING! So moist and light, and they give you such a large slice! Both slice were $ 2.99 each. Not a bad price!!!
And then I saw my Kryptonite… they had macarons! To make matters worse… they were selling them at $ 0.99 each. WHAT!!! So… I bought what was left on the plate! 16 little bits of happiness are in my future!
Thanks The Artisan Pizzeria… I’m a stuffed happy girl… and I’ll be back. (Argh, I sound like the Terminator, or better… like General Douglas MacArthur to the Filipinos. Yes, I like MacArthur better!)

10 Stars for quality service, pizzas, and environment. Another place to take our pug, Bambi. They are pet friendly and their pizzas are delicious.
Downtown Covina is proving to be a great spot to go to especially with our beloved furry babies.
The style of their restaurant is filled with picture frames of famous and legendary movie stars. The one that stood out for me was the old school young buck Sylvester Stallone, Rocky Balboa photo.
There are lots of flatscreen TVs for the sports fans. The environment is chill and great for families.
My wife and I and Bambi will definitely go back here. Unilocalers do not miss out on Artist Pizzeria, they do pizza right.

When we’re in Covina we like to stop in at the artist pizza, we love their chicken Caesar salad taste good and fresh and the dressing is good too.
They just need to add a little bit more of Romain lettuce and more chicken and it would be perfect.
The pizza is great, I like the way were able to customize it and get what we want because we can’t have a lot of dairy.
I think this place has something for everybody whether your a meat lover or a vegetarian!
It’s also always nice and clean and I like that were able to refill our own drinks.
The indoor and outdoor TVs and nice comfy seating is really good as well.
I have no problems with this place and I would’ve given it five stars, because we always come here.
the only reason why I took away one star, was this week when we went for dinner ‚
we ate outside in the patio and there was a young gentleman who was tending to the tables .
we had just gone into 10 maybe 15 minutes of receiving our pizza and he came by and was a ready to take our plates from us.
He was already grabbing our salad plate and I told him I’m sorry I’m not done with my salad yet !!! Hey we just starting eating here, what’s going on here?
He proceeded to slam chairs & bus tables then he came by again & wanted to take our plates.
It wasn’t close to closing time so I don’t know why he’d be rushing customers .
He continued to do this inside as well.
It was just rude & it became annoying, a quite nice dinner on the patio became a loud noisey & rushed dinner.
Note to management please talk to your your staff regarding this issue because we are loyal returning customers who really enjoy your establishment. Thanks :)

When I’m feeling like pizza, but not wanting the usual greasy pizza I come here. We used to come here a lot, you got a lot of bang for your buck when they were $ 6.99. But now that prices are at least $ 8.49, we don’t come as often.
The pizzas are a flat price with as much toppings as you want. They’re thinner crusts and cooked quickly.
When I do go, I get the meat lovers pie and add on some extra veggies and peppers. They’re good every single time.
I’ve had their salads once, and those were really good too. I don’t get those very often because well, if there’s pizza or salad, I’m almost always choosing pizza.

I worked HARD not to come here during Super Bowl Sunday. it was literally my 3^rd choice. But both the other 2 restaurants were closed for the Super Bowl, rude. They dragged me kicking and screaming to The Artist and when the food came out suddenly I was singing a different tune! Decided to get a Greek salad, a pizza pie and a slice of chocolate cake all for sharing. Could’ve brought my neighbors, the portions were massive!
Greek salad was the best Greek salad I’ve ever had in my life. It had bits of artichoke, delicious crumbling feta, and green onion. The tomatoes were a little anemic and I had to spit one out, but it didn’t sour the complete experience.
The pizza pie started out as the GREEN Pizza, which has pesto and bits of eggplant but then I slung about 10 more ingredients on there like sausage, mushrooms, and red onions. It was bomb! And I don’t think they charged us for any of the extra toppings, it was seriously like work your own masterpiece pie, be an artist, go crazy, we support your creative pizza juices. Go head now.
ALSO a lovely round loaf of hot garlic bread comes out with the salad that I was NOT expecting at all but who doesn’t love garlic bread? It was delicious but it would’ve been even better if it was cheesy bread.
The chocolate cake, if I must leave one negative remark, was not a rich decadent chocolate like I was expecting. It was light and airy, the cake part was moist but it had a semi-​sweet flavor, and the icing was more like a mousse than a frosting. I would’ve liked a sinfully rich, diabetic experience but that’s just me.

This place is good! I love the concept and the ingredients are always fresh! Casual, relaxed atmosphere. I have always experienced speedy and friendly service. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because parking isn’t convenient at all. In fact, it can be pretty hard to find a spot weekdays during lunch time as well as weekend evenings.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place but it was delicious! The ingredients were yummy and fresh! My husband ordered the meatlover pizza and I ordered the antipasto Salad. It was enough food to feed us both a little pizza and salad. I went with some friends that ordered other styles of pizzas as well.
The cheese and overall ingredients were very tasty! Definitely a cool place to get together for a date or with friends. CHECK IT OUT!

Loved the ambiance but lacked a bit of flavor pizazz. The interior dining room is modern and clean, with about half seating, half line/​kitchen.
We ordered two different make-​your-​own pizzas, one with all meat, the other with meat and an array of veggies. Again, it was just a bit bland, lacking flavor. I’d give it another shot though, maybe I ordered something wrong. The salads looked pretty good.
Parking was simple, with a lot behind the restaurant. Prices are reasonable and they offer a few types of beer on tap and in bottles.
