Shell Shell’s Sweet Shop

I went and found it to be a little pricey considering that they don’t have that great of a candy selection. I also found it to be a little dirty with crumbs on the ground. If they don’t keep the front that clean imagine how they keep the back. Not going here again.

In the middle of April, I stopped in on a warm day just because I saw candy, which is usually enough for me, but then Michelle let me know that she has all of this wonderful ice-​cream too. My god people, it was English Toffee Ice Cream.

I love this candy shop, great atmosphere. It’s totally adorable. My kids had a great time picking out candy and my husband and I enjoyed their ice cream. Great service too.

The coffee from Lucid Coffee inside of Shell Shell’s is by far the best coffee in the area. Superior to Starbucks, it is comparable to the flavor of trendy coffee spots throughout LA and Pasadena. I will definitely be returning for the coffee.

I love this place! I started working nearby and one day I decided to go here and I’ve been here three times ever since! I haven’t really browsed the store since I go straight to the sour belts, but they definitely have a lot of a variety ! They are closed on Mondays ! I hope to try more of their items like their cookies, rice Krispy treats and coffee!

Love this small Mom and Pop shop in Downtown Covina. Their coffee is so delicious. They also have ice cream plus candy. We usually take the kids here for ice cream then the adults have coffee and a pastry, it’s a win — win.
This shop is very unique and special. I highly recommend a quick visit for treats.

Excellent store, customer service and selection. We met the owner Michelle and we was awesome. We bought some candy and ice cream. It was the end of the night and Michelle offered us offer and Lemon tart. I have to say the lemon tart was the best my wife and I tried. Loved the store, the welcome and general warm feeling. The ice cream was amazing and we will definitely be back. Luckily, we live in downtown Covina… we just need to start going in more :-)

Super adorable spot at downtown Covina. Had their latte with almond milk and it was just perfect with their chocolate chip cookie. The shop itself is very fun to look at. Great place to bring your kids to get unique sweet treats!

Ahhh! First time here — LOVE THIS PLACE! Had a birthday lunch for my birthday over the weekend, and I thought what better way to end it than to visit this candy shop. I had a large party too, mixed with kids and adults, so it was a fitting location for dessert; Ice cream and candy for the kids (and some adults with a sweet tooth), and coffee for the grown ups.
We ordered all three things. The candy selection here is amazing — some candy bars were so old fashioned they looked like it was from the 60s. Don’t forget to look in the bins — they have candy in there as well. Oh, and some Mexican candy — they didn’t have Lucas though, boo! Coffee was a bit strong, but still tasty. They have almond milk for those of you who are lactose! I had a chance to taste a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ horchata/​toffee ice cream that my friend ordered, and it was yummy!
I love the fact that they have a tables and chairs in there so you can just hang out for a bit. We stayed for about an hour just chatting, and letting the kids get their sugar-​high on.
Parking isn’t too bad either. If you can’t find a spot on Citrus, just turn into Italia, and in the back there’s a private lot with more spaces. Front door entrance only though.
Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

This place was just the cutest! I was meant to find it. I was with my 5 year old walking in downtown Covina! The lady there was super friendly. And it’s super organized and clean in there. Such a cute place to take your kids to just bond and talk while they have either candy or ice cream! I will definitely come back.

Love this place. Feels like I’m walking into Disneyland on Main Street. Every candy you can think of. Fresh baked goods. Great coffee and specialty teas. Very clean. My kids love it!

A must! Such a fun candy and coffee spot. Went today for a coffee and bag of candy! They are very friendly, clean and have a good variety! This place even has a good size room for parties!
Coffee is by Lucid Coffee and much better than a Starbucks!

This place was awesome! We were in the need for some unique candy for my daughters plant cell project. Shelly Shells had exactly what we needed. The music they had on (20s genre) was perfect for a candy shop. I was also offered a free cup of fresh ground coffee. I felt like we stepped into a store at Disneyland. I ran across this cute little jem while taking a quick break from work. The first thing that I loved was that it’s not the typical candy store like you find in the mall. This place had a very charming set up and made you feel like being a kid again. The selection of candy was great, and then you also have a choice of froyo too?! The two people working there were very friendly and even offered there specialty cold brew coffee, and tea’s. If you have kids I recommend you stopping by for a treat, and if you don’t have kids just enjoy a guilt free splurge. :)

This place is awesome! My girls loved the candy and I loved the coffee! We will definitely be going back soon!

Stopped here on Friday night after the farmers market! We were having so much fun exploring the variety of candy (some favorites you can’t find in stores anymore). It was nice that you could pick out individual packs of candy to try or stock up on a custom batch from the bulk section.
Michelle have us a free cup of coffee & a buttercream sugar cookie (both delicious) to try! I’m so glad to find a neighborhood place that knows good coffee! We’ll definitely be stopping back for coffee on our way to church in the mornings.

I was craving some ice cream and thought I’d stop by. This place was once Oh Sweet Mercy for yo parlor, now a candy store. Im not the one with the sweet tooth, but when I turned and looked at my husbands face, he was drooling!!! He made his way around these carefully organized candy cubbies, tables and baskets and picked out his favorite from each selection of candy. I’m such a Potterhead so this place won me over by having a little Harry Potter section with Chocolate Frogs (My wizard card was Gilderoy Lockhart tee hee ;D) and every flavored Jelly Beans. This place was so colorful and cute I can’t wait to go back. Oh I totally got the free ice cream cone when I checked in!!! Win!

Heaven! Talk about feeling like a kid in a candy store! Love the candy and has a lot of favorites from taffy, root beer candies, Mexican candy, gummy bears… way too many to list. :) Next visit will include soft serve ! Covina finally has an awesome candy store back. 5 stars for all the choices of candy, the lovely glass containers (not those ugly plastic kinds with plastic tongs) and cute mason jars for organization and the great customer service. Can’t wait to go back :)

This place is wonderful! My kids went nuts when we walked in. The setup is beautiful, and SO much fun! They have an amazing variety of candy to choose from, old and new but all classic, fun, yummy and adorable. The atmosphere is so much fun! They had old music from the 20’s playing. My daughter got ice cream with a few different toppings and my son got chocolate and we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere as they enjoyed their candy. My daughter is already talking about wanting to have her next birthday party here. The owner is the sweetest lady ever, and she offered to show me the party room, which we went and saw and it is super cute. We will be regulars at this place, for sure!

I brought my family here on a Thursday and I must say I was very impressed. The décor was simple, clean and very inviting. This sweet shop had such a variety of candy from gourmet rice crispies, to the classic chocolate covered gummy bears. They even ones that I grew up eating like sugar daddies and imported candy. We even had their creamy ice cream with fresh strawberries and chocolate chips for toppings. Needless to say my 2 year old son enjoyed every minute of it. And since it’s CHRISTMAS season, they have all sorts of seasonal candies. The owners showed us their «party room» where guests can reserve the space for parties or special events. It’s a fun place to take your family for a treat or just to satisfy your sweet tooth!
