Gracie cuts and styles my hair the way I want it – NOT the way SHE thinks it should be! What a miracle! In addition, she is personable – always cheerful – and she charges less than any other stylist in the area! Give her a try. You won’t be sorry!

Gracie did a great job styling both my(adult) sons. They have wavy hair and cow licks that require more attention to look right. She made one look like a movie star, and cut the other’s hair the way he wanted(what can you do?!!) I watched her cut an older man’s hair and he looked fine when he walked out. You can trust Gracie to give you a great cut. She copied my regular gal’s cut and color exactly. If I lived in the area, Gracie would be my regular hair stylist.

«Oh, split ends, why do you taunt me so?» + being new to the area = a very discombobulated Melody. Thankfully, after a recommendation from a friend, I booked an appointment and stopped into Gracie’s yesterday to get a deep conditioning treatment and a trim. And guess what? I am VERY pleased with both cut and service. Woah. This is epic, in my book. And Gracie? She is brilliant! I think I just found my go-to hairstylist. Warm, funny and professional, Gracie went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. Thanks to her, the entire time, I felt reassured that I was in very capable hands, which is a rare experience for me. The salon itself, although little, is bright, airy, and complete with bamboo, which helps to create a serene atmosphere. luvs it! So, I got there early, and waited about 10 minutes for Gracie to finish her previous customer and clean up the area. *Now, I’ve had haircuts from everywhere, and I really REALLY dislike the cheap, «bargain» places where you dish out a small amount of cash and quickly discover the high price you truly paid, as you end up walking out looking like Eddie Munster. But even worse are the high-end places that overcharge and under-deliver, complete with the lofty attitudes and severely lacking warmth. To those places, I say, «Please learn the first thing about customer service. Or better yet, learn a thing or two about common courtesy. Or, might I dare, basic human compassion. You want referrals, the good kind? ‘Nuff said.» So…after a string of such bad experiences, I was a understandably a little nervous at first. But after chatting with Gracie, my frazzled nerves were completely soothed, and I was a happy camper. The deep conditioning treatment was a 4-step process, and she carefully explained each step while paying close attention to what she was doing and periodically showing concern for my comfort. At this time, she would patiently answer all the questions I had, and even give helpful suggestions that would improve the quality of my hair, i.e. «Don’t use mayonnaise like they did in the old days; that only weighs your hair down, by merely coating the surface of the hair strand. You need something that will penetrate the hair shaft.» etc, *HINT* —– use a small amount of jojoba oil after you shower. Jojoba oil, which is the most similar to human sebum, is comprised of small molecules that easily penetrate hair, which acts as a natural humectant, ensuring moisturized, luxurious strands. — — - *ENDOFHINT* ^.^ So…after my hair treatment was done(~ 20 min), she towel dried my hair slightly, trimmed my ends, and gave me some face-framing layers. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the end result. Usually, when I ask hairstylists to keep the length, they will take off either too little or too much. It’s a curse, I swear! After her trim, though, my hair felt lighter and definitely more«movable» hehe ^.^ OHhhhh and the price is VERY reasonable. I’m so glad I finally ended my curse of bad hairdressers. I will definitely come back to Gracie’s hair design. 5 well-deserved STARS!
