Great beer, especially not your father’s root beer. Good food, excellent service. I’d go back

It was a pretty good burger place. The burgers were extremely messy. The service was great and it is in a nice little loft looking place with good music. I personally would not recommend to a friend due to the messiness of the burgers.

Delicious food! My husband and I love this spot. Highly recommend carne asada fries, paleo burger, deviled eggs, steak sandwich, Mac n cheese with Brussels, grilled cheese and any burger or salad. Had my bridal shower here. Was a brunch theme, French toast and eggs and potatoes!

Came here on a Saturday night around 9:30. Pretty chill spot. They had a performer who played till about 11. Fun vibe. It was crowded when I came but died pretty quickly around 10:30. Mixed crowd. Drink selection was a bit more limited than I expected. The porter was good. Got the Patatas bravas to munch on but it was not what I expected. It was good, but I was expecting a spanosh Patatas bravas with Aoili. What we got instead was fried potatoes with Asian chili and a tasteless dipping sauce. We still killed it tho cuz it was something to munch on. I would probably try the portobello mushroom next time. Overall it was a chill spot and the waitress were really attentive and friendly. Parking: street parking was full but I was able to find parking really quick because I parked in the yellow loading zone. You can after 7! The good: friendly service The bad: skip the Patatas bravas Tip: park in the loading zone

Yaasssss. My boyfriend saw the name and we had to deviate to where we were going to try this place. We got two burgers(names have gone bye bye in my head) but both were very good. Service was pleasant and the atmosphere was good. Perhaps a little too cramped for all the patrons in there, but I’d still recommend it. We also got the Mac and cheese, which was delectable, and I loved the brussel sprouts that came with it. I wish I could have those again!

Not impressed. For our appetizer we ordered the portobello fries, which were greasy but good. Ordered the bread and barley burger with fries(the burger was super salty– took 3 bites and retired the dang thing) My bum ordered the fried shrimp tacos. By the time we were done, we had a stomach ache. We over did it with the fried stuff. It’ll be a while before we come back… Like never again. But we had to try it.

Came in for dinner tonight and we ordered the Mac and cheese with brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts are to die for! My boyfriend even eats them and he doesn’t like many vegetables. The Mac and cheese was delicious as always and has bacon which is a nice change in texture and flavors. Still love that they rotate their beers so that you can always try something new. I love bread and barley! #craftsohard It’s a different night now but Unilocal won’t let me write another review. Still loving bread and barley! Come here more than I would like to admit but it’s just so good! Travis and mich are super nice and always have a great beer recommendation and fun conversations! Loving it here!

Went out on a long overdue date with the hubby. His first time here. He loved the portobello fries. I ordered the Babe burger. Yummy! And of course, the Brussels sprouts were amazing. Cannot wait to come back soon.

Second time coming to this bar. I’m not a big fan of the area because most bars don’t have ‘liquor’ licenses and this place was no different. This location does over around 20 beers, mostly craft. I tried the extra dark Wolf Creek White Wonderland. Was a really good beer and went down much smoother. I then tried my first sour beer. That was amazing. This sounds horrible, but it’s like having a IPA that someone dropped a bunch of sour patch kids in. As for the food we shared a nice size portion of carna asada fries which were also delicious. I don’t even like guacamole, but the avocado cream sauce was still good. It may look like Im missing a star, but I wasn’t a fan of one of the two people who served us, he seemed to spend most of his time and that bar and our beers and water spent more time empty than I like. All being said, try this place great experience to say the least.

Friendly staff, delicious cheese burger pair with a craft beer. Will definitely visit again. Only suggestion is to visit if you have plenty of time to spare, but, staff made me feel welcomed. Kudos!

Good beer and yummy burgers. Their beer menu changes from time to time but they have about 20 beers on tap so you’re bound to find something you’ll dig. Their menu is pretty small and simple. I had their main burger and it was really great. Side note! They charge for a serving fries! Not cool. They do give you chips next to your burger but this is america. Give me my french fries. The brick walls and hipster lighting make for a good atmosphere.

Small place, old school décor, lots of wood. Prohibition themed… in the signage, but not really anything else. The service is weird. It’s been pretty good every time I’ve been except the last time, everyone kept disappearing except the bartender, who was engrossed in conversation at the bar. Requested a different game be put on one of the three TVs, got an affirmative but it never happened. They’re always nice, usually fast enough, I can’t complain too much. The food is also pretty good every time I’ve been except the last time. I usually order a juicy medium-rare burger but this last one was overdone. I may add it to the list of places I have to order rare or nothing. I tried the fish and chips, those were tasty. Chips are standard but fries are extra and I’m not on board with that. They’re both fried potatoes, one of the cheapest vegetables ever, just cut differently. Why the hell does the more popular style cost more? The menu from a year or two ago sounds better than today’s. The happy hour menu was 2 tacos for $ 5 but if you wanted fish tacos, only on the normal menu, you had to shell out $ 12 for 3. Oh, and they decline substitutions? I’m usually okay with that, but with the rest of the menu and the anti-prohibition theme, it just seems tacky. What, is all the food in microwave containers in the back or something? You can’t be bothered to put pepperjack on my burger instead of gruyère? Oh, and why are most pictures of the food from over a year ago? Ya know what? I must have been drunk(bonus point for good beer, higher percentage of uncommon beers than most places). Screw this place. Did I mentioned they charge you a dollar to cut your potatoes sideways instead of up and down? Well then screw this place sideways.

I’d never would’ve gone in here had I not heard from a cousin that this wasn’t just a bar, but that they actually serve great burgers. My first impression is a big thumbs up! Cozy place; young but sensible patrons; service was excellent — servers had personality. This is an all-around decent place to eat and be merry. They have 2 big screens; comfy casual tables. Happy hour is 3−6pm for $ 5 tacos. I tried their BBQ ribs burger($ 13) and was pleasantly surprised! Crunchy onion straws and bacon with burger slathered in BBQ sauce. Big burger that you won’t be able to put down. I downed it with a mild sweet strawberry ale($ 7). I was happy. A fun place to hangout with friends or on a casual date. It could get crowded so be prepared for a short wait. It’s worth the wait though. Plan on spending at least $ 40+ for 2 people.

I came here for lunch with my auntie, cousin, and cousin’s friend for lunch. The restaurant was quite spacious. The posters on the wall were unique and fun. I like their brick walls. They have craft beer which is amazing! I ordered the bread and barley burger with taster tots. The burger has their house-made aioli, caramelized onions, arugula, and Gruyère cheese. The first bite I took from my burger made me feel very happy to have found this place. The patty was very juicy. The Gruyère cheese and caramelized onion enhanced the taste of the patty. It was marinated very well. The tater tots were seasoned very well. They were really crispy too!:)) Overall I had a really good lunch that left me with worthy food coma:)

First off, I love the food here. Had the fish taco and its tastes phenomenal and fresh! Love to come back to try other food here. Was gonna give this place 5 stars. What upsets me is Clearly on the specials menu, it says specials come with house chips(see the attached picture) and then I politely ask the bartender, he said the fish tacos doesn’t come with chips. Later, I ask pointing to the menu, can I upgrade to fries? As the specials menu says you can pay extra to upgrade to fries. The bartender still stressed that I can’t do that though the menu says you can. I’m writing this to the management, you should please correct the menu so that it’s not misleading for customers or train staff better to understand what the specials are offering!

GOODVIBES! I come here every time I’m in town. Love the atmosphere, everyone is very nice. I have yet to try the food, but drinks are a decent price. Great place to catch up with friends and have a couple beers. I really want to try their fries!

Bread & Barley’s portobello fries! Just wow. There’s nothing like ending a really long, tiring day on a good note with B&B’s portobello fries and a cold IPA(or three). I’m really excited that this place exists — I feel like 626 is somewhat lacking when it comes to craft beer, and the fact that B&B is a mere 10 minutes away from my house is a really really good thing. Or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. I had the smoked gouda macncheese, portobello fries and the babe burger(truffle aioli, mmmm) with a side of sweet potato tots. I highly recommend ALL of the above. Also, shout out to the manager/cute server who hooked it up with some free Bread & Barley stickers: D
