Stopped in at Freddy T’s for dinner with some business colleagues. The décor in the downstairs restaurant is somewhat eclectic with a wine walk across from a kitschy T-shirt shop, a boat transom, jet ski, along with life size Spider Man and Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc. We just missed the drink specials when we arrived at 6pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant was not very crowded, but there was noise from the TV’s so it didn’t feel dead. The menu has a lot of variety; everything some sandwiches and salads to steak and fish. We started off with fried pickles and bangin’ shrimp. They were both tasty, but the shrimp was a bit too saucy for my taste. I ordered the fish and shrimp blackened with vegetables instead of fries. The blackened catfish was a somewhat small filet with a heavy seasoning. The shrimp was good. The hush puppies were overcooked. The vegetables were a little soggy. The slaw and beans were good. Another person in our party ordered the fried catfish and said he really liked the way it was prepared. A couple ordered the Dave’s chicken which is a grilled chicken breast with bacon, mushrooms and cheese. The chicken was covered in a lot of cheese, but tasted pretty good. Freddy T’s is a fun place. I would definitely return, but I would like to try something else from the menu.

Great ambiance — Great service Medicore steak — ordered the Rib Eye for 27.00 — Expected a tender juicy steak — Steak was on the tough side — Could have done better buying a supermarket steak Great place to visit — just don’t buy the steak !!

The waiter was great but the steak was the worse I’ve ever had .I ordered the tbone and my friend ordered the rib eye we were both very disappointed. Their other food may be good but the steaks were not worth the price they are charging.

My husband and I are experiencing our 26th year together and another birthday for him. It’s difficult to find a great steak in our town, so we decided to try Freddy T’s. We have been here before with my brother and mother, but we did some math on that tonight and decided that had been 12 years ago, at least. Walking in tonight was the same as walking into a new restaurant for us. The amount of remodel and expansion that has taken place over the years is pretty extensive and impressive. There is a game room for kids, a bar, a nightclub, a man cave leading to a dining area upstairs, referred to as the RoofTop Bar and Grill. The RoofTop opens for lunch at 11:00, whereas the regular restaurant opens at 5:00. There are several glass roll up doors that are opened during warm weather. I hate to dwell on the picayune things but it seems there are times when everything conspires against me and is bent on ruining my dining experience. 50° outside but the AC blowing full blast inside. A $ 35.00 Porterhouse that doesn’t come with a salad. Only $ 3.00 for a salad with the meal, BUT a large salad with no crackers or bread. A prime rib cooked way under what I requested. Re-fired prime rib, still under cooked. A pretty bad cut of meat with several chunks of fat and patches of sinewy strands. The waitstaff and manager are beyond courteous and understanding of my situation with the bad prime rib. I requested a trade for a burger and they were very accommodating. More of Murphy’s Law… cold fries, hard/dry pretzel bun and dry bland burger. I’m truly impressed by the sincerity of concern from the waitstaff and manager. They want to know if there is something wrong so they can correct it and possibly prevent it happening again in the future. I’m not planning on returning immediately but I definitely am not putting it off another 12 years.

Hello fellow boaters, Pickwickers, family & friends. I come to you today from the ‘rooftop bar’ at Freddy T’s in Pickwick, Tn. What to do when you get to Pickwick and you are too late for lunch and too early for dinner but still hungry? Well I went to Freddy T’s and had a Lpng Island Tea & Prime Rib sandwich w/fries. The drink was spot on and the sandwich hit the spot. It wasn’t that big, it’s served on a small hamburger bun but is delicious! The fries were basic seasoned fries but went great with 1000 island dip. This is no gourmet meal but when you have beautiful weather this open air setting is great! They hv 5 large screen TV’s and Draftserve for beer lovers. Hey a day at the lake is always better than a day at work! Cheers!

Just plain rude. They treated our party of 8 like we were bothering them. I will never bring my family here again.

This review is for the Rooftop at Freddy T’s. I was hoping for a great lunch time meal to relax after a long week of work. Instead I received a mediocre meal. Staff had no clue what was on their menu and I didn’t either, as there is no drink or food menu. When asking what was in the different Margaritas,(which they seem to take pride in the variety), the waitress said, «oh they’re all pretty much the same.» Said Margarita was surprisingly small and bland. I ordered the prime rib sandwich, and was served more like a prime rib slider. The sandwich was maybe four inches in diameter and had a very lean amount of meat. The fries were the best part of the meal and actually in abundance, although I still left hungry. I sat and watched my food sit outside the kitchen as well as several other orders while the waitress was nowhere to be found for several minutes. The Rooftop needs to improve on menus and educate their staff on it. As a first time customer I was very confused and dissapointed as to what they had to offer. It is hard in this area to find a place to enjoy a good meal and a drink and it looks like I will still be looking. I have no intentions of coming back unless changes are made.

Never my favorite place to eat, the food is very average, there are not many places to go in Pickwick. We usually come here because it can be fun and we run into friends! It usually gets pretty busy!

This is a fun spot. Restaurant, bar, and nightclub all rolled into one. It’s like a bizarre theme park for adults. Head up to the rooftop bar for awkward live music and drunken dancing. I think they also offer some sort of shuttle if you’ve had one too many. As far as the food goes, it’s pretty good. Not the best, but not bad, by any means. It’s a little overpriced, but you’re paying for the experience, which is entertaining, if not a little odd. Get the oysters if they have them. They are fresh and locally sourced. You can’t beat that, especially when they’re $ 10 for a dozen.

Burgers at upstairs patio are great and they are open all the time. Pizzas are very good and they have the best fries anywhere. Prices are very reasonable, never been down stairs because we have such good luck upstairs. Smoking is allowed which can be a problem if you are trying to eat but what can you do about those people…

Disgusting service and all around crappy staff. The cook on the rooftop is about the only positive item about this place. We tipped him $ 30 directly for the simple fact we saw how many orders he was having to «fix». Sweetest kid but you could tell he was somewhat frustrated with the other staff. We went with a group or 7 two nights in a row and each time they got orders completely wrong. Chicken burgers came out as beef… Buffalo bites with sauce on the side came out tossed in sauce. Fries were cold. I attribute most if not all of these errors to the blonde bartender upstairs. The cook showed me the tickets and she rang in all of this wrong. With that said the food is just kind of meh … Nothing spectacular about it. The atmosphere is ok … Open air balcony with a lot of locals stumbling around from table to table. We went downstairs and asked to speak to the Manager on duty… Not because we wanted a refund but because we thought she would appreciate some feedback from some patrons that had crappy service there two nights in a row. She simply nodded her head and acknowledged that she had been having issues with food and service upstairs and«they are working on it». We let her know that we would NOT be visiting again … Even if they are basically the only stop in town.

I highly recommend the cat fish. The portions are huge and come with hush puppies. The prices area fairly reasonable. The décor is interesting. Spiderman and Tulley from Monster’s Inc seems a bit out of place. I think that adds to part of the wildness of this restaurant/bar. Their happy hour coronas were a dollar a piece. Not bad. Some people ordered their burgers, not really worth getting. They are kind of small and do not come with more toppings unless you want to pay $ 1 per extra topping. You can always steal jalapenos from the nachos for your burger! That’s a good tip! :)

WHEREDO I BEGIN??? Work has us stuck in the middle of nowhere during the NHL playoffs. Apparently the ONLY place in town with TVs is this place. POSITIVE: +Habenero Jack cheese for my burger? Not fucking bad! INBETWEEN: -/+ Twilight zone? I get the beach thing, but with the 80s jet ski and water skis displayed, it’s starting to look more like you decorated the place with random shit that washed up on shore. NEGATIVE: –Pretty much the only purpose for our visit was to have beers and watch the NHL playoffs. 20 something TVs and literally NOONE can figure out how to change a channel without changing ALL of the TVs. –Upon arrival we were TOLD, not asked to deal with the slow service that was about to come… now I understand it’s a weeknight, but the place looked rather empty other than a table of 10 of our buddies that got there earlier. If 10 additional people to your normal workload throws you off your game, that’s not saying a lot for your establishment. –Food took forever to come out… Once again… the place is damn near empty. Food comes out… OH! That’s why it took forever… You had to cook my boy’s medium rare steak to well done. Not even a line of pink. Oh I see why? It’s thin as fuck… yet you charge the same as establishments with steaks twice this thick. –My other pal talked shit about his philly chicken sandwich too, but I think he was just pissed that he couldn’t get a water after we threw in the towel on watching the game since they couldn’t figure out how to change a channel. BOTTOMLINE: I could go on with the negatives, but what’s the point? This place has to live with itself and unfortunately for the local area… it’s pretty much the only game in town.

Came on Sunday night, Memorial Day weekend, around 9ish. Wanted to check out the«beach club» and was charged a $ 10 cover, although it was my understanding that no cover was charged before 10pm. «Holiday weekend,» I was told. We grudgingly paid and walked through the Saloon to the EMPTY beach club. Our bartender pried herself away from her conversation with the other employees and I paid $ 16 for a Patron on the rocks(more than I pay in NYC!). We left the EMPTY beach club and went back to the Saloon, which also hadn’t really filled up yet as it was too early(too early to pay a cover!). The Saloon seems like a fine spot to hang out, but as they charge $ 30 for a pizza and $ 5 for a slice plus an arbitrary cover – I would have to think twice about coming back if in the area.

Great place to pull in to if your on the river. Tennessee and the Ten-tom run close by. Great club, bars and food. Friday and Saturday are the only nights worth going to party!

Where to begin? I am in a very rural dry county visiting family for a month. About to loose my mind I call my brother to take me out for a night of dancing and drinks. Missing the Miami lifestyle he decides to take me across the state line to a club that has a beach theme. Lighted palm trees, fun lighting, awesome DJ, smoke, two floors, nice size dance floor. Woah, we walk in and I was very much impressed. Could not wait to get the night started. I felt like a lion that had been in a cage for years. I knew there would be no stopping me. This was going to be a fun filled night. The bartenders were very friendly, prices were reasonable, no waiting for drinks, it was perfect. The music was pumpin, smoke filling the dance floor, men standing around afraid to ask women to dance. I grab my sister-in-law because I just could not compose myself any longer. Upon our return finally there were a few normal, confident men that were dancing with me all night. I met some great fun people and the night was a huge hit. Sweaty, hot, I did not care it was a blast! If you are looking for a nice clean club with friendly bartenders, cool DJ’s, awesome décor, and want a fun time look no further this place has good times to be had. Huge inside with another separate room with a live band. Disclaimer: If you are a guy wanting to score, do not stand around the dance floor just starring, ask the girls to dance and by all means dudes buy them some drinks… hell there cheap… Very cool place that I will revisit upon my return. Age’s were mainly 20’s to 30’s with some 40 plus… plus…

This place is probably a 3, but based alone on the entrée that I ordered it’s a definite solid 4 stars. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of the entrée, but it’s some cajun shrimp concoction, served on grit cakes. –I know how it sounds, but just try it, you won’t be disappointed. No doubt, Freddy T’s is probably a happenin’ place on the wknds.(Even considering the eclectic décor that is reminiscent of something out of a FL beach joint).
