Went there for a friend’s welcome back home party. Service was slow. Not many there. Ordered beef stroganoff. It was good, but for $ 17, I expected more than a small bowl of food and instant potatoes. Ordered their sweet white. It too was about $ 18. Good wine, but I’ve had better for less.

We sat for 10 minutes with servers and the hostess walking by us several times with nobody ever acknowledging our existence. So we left.

Awesome atmosphere, good cigar selection and they pour a pretty awesome cocktail. Owners are always in the building and always talking to patrons.

This place is absolutely amazing! It is so much more than just good wine or good food. It’s an awesome environment and a truly one of a kind place in Cottleville, MO. I unfortunately don’t live in the area anymore but every time I come back to visit I always try to make time for a stop here. Great food, great wine, great beer, great live entertainment, great atmosphere, great people and overall just great fun! :)

We loved the avocado chicken panini and especially delicious was the wine slushy today. Great service and great people with live music and fun times. Great idea having a grape stomping event! Everyone had a blast and so did we-thanks!

2nd trip to Rackhouse, pretty identical to the first. The positives are, Good potential, pleasant staff, sometimes excellent food. The negatives are, sometimes far less that excellent food(my wife got undercooked chicken breast, I got shrimp flatbread with the dough also undercooked and just a few Small shrimp. I am sure that if I complained they would have brought r another, but I didn’t feel like dealing with it at the time. My double Irish whiskey could have easily been mistaken for a single. I made that comment to our waitress and she even said it looked a little light, but did not offer to improve on the situation in any way. The raw chicken was cheerfully replaced though. I really want this place to succeed, but at this point could see it going either way. Attention and the required action needs to be paid to the issues that are being brought up in these reviews.

This place is difficult for me to describe. It is a winery, and they sell some wine that is exclusive to them. It is also, however, just one branch of a larger winery. The bartender tried very hard to explain Rack House West Winery’s relation to the other wineries, but I still just find it odd that someone would willingly open multiple wineries and then only serve some ones at certain ones. But that’s not really that important. Some of the wines were pretty good. My family and I enjoyed a bottle of the Sunflower White with the bacon kettle corn and the charcuterie platter out on the patio. There was genuinely delicious cheese on that platter, but the server wasn’t quite sure what they were. Our waitress was really fun and we enjoyed talking with her while we tasted wine and order some appetizers to enjoy outside. I have been to a lot of wineries. This one is interesting. It’s a great way to wine taste if there are others in your party not interested in wine. They also have a great bourbon selection. But at the end of the day, it just feels like I’m drinking wine sitting in a restaurant(and that’s not my favorite environment for wine tasting). However, I’d love to go back for an actual meal sometime.

Not bad but not amazing either. The waitress we had disappeared a lot and while she was nice, wasn’t always prompt. I almost went over to the bartender to request a refill on my wine… s. Wanted to add that the server kind of stared at me like a deer in headlights when I asked her about the wine flights, wanting a specific recommendation based on my taste. She looked like she was maybe 18 years old, so not old enough to drink, and regardless, not really up to speed on the type of wine. Though I suppose she could have asked the bartender for assistance. She did ask one of the other servers for help on what the soup of the day/specials were, so yeah… maybe she was new/in training because I def got that vibe from her. Not a big deal, but if she wasn’t new, then I’d say it might be worth it to have more training for the waitstaff, otherwise some customers may perceive it as a lack of professionalism. Personally I can barely remember what I had for breakfast on any given day, so I guess I’m not one to talk. :-P Had a pasta special which was really good… the price wasn’t bad considering the amount of food & the ingredients.(lobster, shrimp.) But the sauce itself was a little too creamy/rich for me, nearly caused a gastric disaster but luckily remembered my digestive enzymes that night. Dining companion had a really basic sandwich which ended up costing wayyy more than it should have seeing as how he basically had them remove every bloody ingredient, but oh well. Music was good(mmm Lana del Rey, my flavorite) and wine wasn’t bad. Prices seemed decent but close to the ‘more than I would have liked to pay’ end considering the service was spotty and the food was mostly average. I would definitely come back, though, to try other stuff on the menu. I just wish the menu had as much food options as booze.

I’ve been here twice. I will say the food was very good both times. I’m a big Bourbon guy and they have a great Bourbon list. However, the«bartenders» have no idea how to make a classic Manhattan or Old Fashion. No garnish with the Manhattan and I saw black cherries sitting on the bar. Muddled fruit gave my old fashion a cloudy look and it was tasteless. These are classic cocktails that should be done correctly and I’m afraid this place won’t stay open if not corrected. It’s THAT big of a deal to Bourbon drinkers. Also, inside is dead quiet and needs some kind of house music.

Let’s start with when having a table of 10+ you need more then one person working the table– her service wasn’t bad– I could just tell when she was getting aggravated at people sitting at the table– some point we waited over 12 mins for drinks– putting in double drinks was the only way to ensure the drinks would come out in a timely matter — one drink come out completely full– then the next was half empty or half full whichever way you look @ it– but we all sat outside which is a patio boarded up– holding in all the heat– absolutely NO air flow– they have two fans blowing towards the sky! Doing nothing for NO one but the birds! You can literally go down the street to the other winery –that is walking distance —-with a completely different experience —

What a fantastic place! I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures — I was too busy stuffing my face! I had the bacon popcorn, the braised short-ribs, the charcuterie and cheese plate, the white chicken chili soup and the brisket. Everything was delicious and I wanted more! I also had a glass of the slushy wine and it was fabulous! I could have sat on the patio or in the back of that beautifully restored pick up truck and sucked that back until they forced me to leave! Really cool place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. This would be the place to keep on regular rotation.

Only one visit so far and it was a special event, so might not totally reflect the regular dining experience. The food was good, the staff very friendly and accommodating. Some positives that really stood out were an emphasis on Missouri wines, the Norton port, and the cigar room, which is so well ventilated and sealed of through two doorways that without the window, you’d never know it was there. I will definitely return.

Been here a couple of times. Don’t let the name fool you, yes they are primarily a wine bar, but not really. They have decent great craft brew selection, a cigar lounge, and probably the best manhattans in the universe. Don’t forget to have them load up the black cherries. Food is great. Its light eats, panini’s and flatbreads. They have some great apps, and their popcorn is a must try. Good salads too! Great addition to the Cottleville family of establishments! Service is always(ALWAYS) key, and these guys bang it out like nobody’s business. I get the décor thing. Its like its dim but bright at the same time. Looking forward to the patio once the warm weather arrives!

Great start to a Sunday funday. The wines were very good as well. Love the Smokestack white. We got there when they open so no one was there. The bartender still gave a us great service. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy drinking the Little Red Caboose, the Left Handed Nitro Milk Stout, the Barreled Aged Manhattans are to die for! I crave the Margherita Flatbread. The Heirloom tomatoes on there are mmmm. Mmm. Mmm I for sure will be coming here often and I just want to hangout on their patio or that cigar lounge. Can’t wait to watch a game in there!
