I just got my fig tree from this firm for 19.95. It was approximately 3″ tall. It was sad as I was waiting for this I had bypassed a 3′ tree in a nursery for the same price. I have spent years dealing with this firm. I have gotten good service and plants in the past although they are pricey. I am so disappointed and saddened that they treated a long term customer like this. I won’t be back.

When we came down here, we were really expecting a much bigger place then it is lol, the catalog they produce is awesome and has a very good variety of stuff! So, since we were in Oregon, we went to Cottage Grove and visited this Nursery, like i said I was expecting a really huge place but this is actually just you’re normal size nursery! The staff here is very helpful, and they do have a good selection of stuff to grow that you dont see at the major chain stores. We ended up getting some Strawberry plants and tomato plants, and some lettuce. Was tempted to get a Apple tree there that had 4 different varieties! Overall, might be better to order from their catalog, but it is worth visiting the store if you’re in the area!

I placed an order on Sunday and my seeds were delivered today. Great service! They also have a great selection.

A little bit pricey, but they have such nice, diverse and healthy plants. It is obvious these people love what they do and will blow you away with what they know. Always a nice experience. Oh, and they participated in the local Earth Day festivities at the park and had wonderful starts they gave out. I really enjoyed them there as well.

The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. If a particular staff member doesn’t know the answer to a question they know someone on staff who does. There are a wide variety of seed choices, regular, organic, heritage, biodynamic, etc. Loads of locally grown starts and trees to choose from. They have compost tea available on Saturdays in the spring and summer, but get there early as they tend to run out. They also have a garden club that delivers a monthly e-mail(or paper if you prefer) and links to their how to videos.

I cannot believe it is already time to start ordering for and planning our garden for 2010. With frost on the ground the promise of mild sunny days in the garden shooing away mosquitoes seems totally exotic. Territorial Seed Company has been tempting me with its offerings for the last month or so since I received their profusely illustrated and detailed catalog. We are going to plant hardier veggies than we did last year due to the heavy rain spells we had. Swiss Chard does not do well when seedlings under heavy waters. :( TSC offers several options for each category of veggie, fruit or flower. I have seen other catalogs that offer endless choices, but TSC seems to only offer what has done well for them in field tests. And they have lots of organic seeds, too. Their customer service has been top notch with previous orders of not only seeds but kitchen and garden supplies. Before you know it, those tomatoes now seeds in my fridge will be making some tasty sandwiches and I won’t need to go to a diner for lunch! ;)
