Our pool was green off and on throughout the summer we used North Bay. They were non responsive and had a terrible pool mechanic who put our new heater in wrong and we had to have it redone by another company. I would never use these folks again!

We purchased a home in the upscale area of Browns Valley in Napa. The pool was a murky green, looked like a swamp, and seemed to be on its last legs. The pool equipment was said to be not salvageable. Not only did North Bay Pool and Spa get the pool sparkling in just a few short days, they were able to replace a few parts in the equipment and get it working again, saving us a lot of money. They are the kind of company you want to work with. Honest, responsive, and looking out for the customer’s best interests. If you have a pool, these are the people to call.

If your favorite color is green, this is the pool service for you. They tend to BS a lot and give little service for the money. A very very poor experience and I would definitely not recommend them to anyone

The crew at North Bay Pool and Spa is great. They brought my pool back to «life». We moved into a new home last year with a pool and not knowing how to keep it up through the winter it became disgusting. They turned my pool from swamp water to crystal clear water. They are very professional and very knowledgeable. There are a lot of pool companies out there, but none as GREAT as Northbay Pool. I recommend them to all my friends!

I purchased a home that came with a pool and attached spa. After a few years of neglect on my part even the frogs wouldn’t swim in it anymore. I was seriously considering draining the water and filling the darn thing in when I received a «pool owner» ad from North Bay Pool and Spa. Long story short I called them up and they got everything fixed up and running in a jiffy and way under what I thought I’d have to pay. Everyone was exceptionally knowledgeable and nice and the service guy even took time out to show me how everything works and how to balance the water, etc. I find these guys to be excellent and recommend them to all my friends with pools.

My mother purchased a condo in Novato in 1997, complete with a hot tub in the tiny back yard. A few years later, not using the hot tub much, she sold it to make more room in the yard. However the former owners had received snail mail catalogs and regular advertisements from various pool & spa companies over the years, and these continued to arrive in the mail addressed to «pool owner» or «resident.» My mother is in her late 70’s and like many others who lived through the Depression is frugal to a fault and cannot abide waste in any form. She’s very conscientious about recycling, eliminating waste, and hates having to throw ads that she has no interest in directly into the recycling bin. She’s 78 years old, and is trying to live a simple life. So she saves catalogs and ads that she receives that don’t apply to her or that she’s not interested in, and I when there are some piled up I will call or email the company involved, telling them that my mother is not interested, is not a potential customer, and ask them to please take her off their mailing list. Most companies are happy to do this — why should they continue to waste resources(paper, ink and postage) on someone who is not a customer and will never use their products or services? So when my mother got a flyer in the mail from North Bay Pool and Spa, I went to their website with the ad in hand. There was a contact form designed to ask to be called back for service, so I filled in the form politely asking to be taken off their mailing list seeing that there was no pool or spa on the premises. The next day, I get an email back from
with a one word response — «no.» Now he could have ignored my request, and I wouldn’t have known until his next advertising campaign that he had done nothing. He could have said he would but he didn’t have the time, or that he would but then he’d lose his quantity discount from the mailing house that sends out these things. But he just refused with no explanation. I’d like to know what kind of an ass who calls himself a businessman won’t take the simple step of removing your address from his mailing list when you’ve told him that you are not and will never be a potential customer? I mean, I just asked him to save himself some money and do something good for the environment by stopping waste? Is he just lazy or does he treat the rest of his customers this way as well? It’s clear that he’s someone I would never do business with if I had the need for his services(which I don’t, and is the whole POINT of this review.) What’s this guy’s problem? It does make me wonder, though — is he similarly uncaring about the waste of hazardous pool chemicals including chlorine and muriatic acid? I’d want someone who is environmentally conscious putting these things in my pool(if I had one.) So steer clear of this company unless you’d like someone with this level of «customer care» putting dangerous chemicals in your pool or spa. There have to be companies out there that treat their customers with a modicum of respect.
