Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and the service when I came to eat here with my kids and ex-wife. Many people had recommended it so we decided to try it out. Super huge smiles on the servers faces as we came in and the food was served really quick which surprised me as it was a Friday night and the place was rather crowded. They took good care of my kids and were really accommodating to their special requests. My dinner was actually one of the better burritos I’ve had in a long time and I do plan on returning soon!

This is our favorite Mexican dining in SoCo the days. Yes, you may find an awesome taco or burrito at a small Taqueria, but this is the full dining experience with good service, good food, a big menu, and a great vibe. The mole is great, not too sweet like most places.

This place has pretty good food, great service for pretty affordable prices. I used to have date night here almost every week with my wife till my schedule changed. Often times we would walk in 5 or 10 minutes before closing. Having worked in the food and beverage service industry for many years, coming in so close to closing time is highly discouraged and is considered sin. Never once did I feel we were imposing or upsetting staff by coming in late. The hosts, the servers and bar staff all seem genuinely great full for the business.

GREAT food and… mostly GREAT service. Their service can be just below really-good; most of the time that’s because they are busy but I do really like their food. Awesome chile-verde platter and I’ve tried several other items that I find to be fantastic! The margaritas are so-so, probably want to «upgrade» from the house but overall ok. I do love the food though and it definitely feels authentic/family run.

The food here is really good. Authentic Mexican food at its best. Salsa bar has a good variety, from mild to spicy. Friendly staff & very attentive at all times. Reasonable prices. Will definitely eat here again when in the area.

M Soooo disappointed… As noted above, I have been a regular at mi ranchito, frequenting the establishment 1 – 2 times per week. Tonight, after ordering a Caesar salad w/grilled shrimp and chicken, I wanted an apéritif of sambuca. The two Sunday night bartenders who know me, gave me an after dinner drink of SIMPLESYRUP instead!!! I took a sip and called one of the bartenders over and he then took down the bottle of SAMBUCA.

My family and I used to love this place but know not so much. I made a reservation for my family called and made sure it had been arranged and everything and they confirmed. I go in and sure enough they say that it will take us 40 min– 1hr to get seated. I told the lady in the front that i had already made a reservation. She said she was sorry but that that was the wait time applied to reservations as well. I was ticked. Why even bother to make a reservation if they arent going to hold their end of it. We ended up leaving and not going back. We will now go if its our last option but for now i am not stepping foot in that place. The food is good but the customer service and attentiveness can use some work.

Great spot! Awesome outdoor area and amazing food. Very affordable and a super awesome place for parties and large groups. We just had my 40th birthday party there and the staff was so nice and friendly. This is a great sport for dining, a quick drink or a long day of drinking and to watch a game. I cannot say enough good things about Mi Ranchito. Please check’em out and have a great time! Thank you for reading my Unilocal

What a nice surprise in Cotati! We stopped in by chance and found wonderful food, full bar and great service from Yesica! Yep, we’ll be back for Happy Hour to try the Rumchata and Watermelon Margarita with friends.

Mexican food in California is definitely another level, it’s so good and delicious Mi Ranchito cooks authentic Mexican food with so many choices to choose from, flavor and quality are some of the pluses of this restaurant, down sides maybe staff is not well organized and sometimes they look confused affecting any customer experience and expectations.

Good, authentic food. Short wait to be seated today, Sunday, due to lunch rush. Tamales were not the best I have had, but the place was cute and service was good.

Went here for a family dinner on a Thursday night, place was jumping. Been driving by for years, just never stopped in, we always went down the street to Mi Pueblo… not any more though… this is now our go to place for Mexican food Food is great, large portions, healthy options if you want and very good prices. Place has a good vibe, high energy, plenty of staff… it was packed on a Thursday, looks like it’s that way every night. Food still came out quickly, fresh and hot. Nice mix of customers, single folks having a good time, families with children, everyone is welcome here I’m looking forward to sitting on the patio on a warm evening having a margarita, the ones I saw going by my table looked great Thumbs Up!

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in all of Sonoma County as far as I’m concerned… and I have high standards! They have it all: Great Food, Great Bar, Great Service and Ambiance. On Friday nights they have a live Mariachi. They have some old classics, like their Chile Relleno(my favorite) as well as some new, creative dishes packed with flavor. Chips and salsa are all homemade and very fresh. They also infuse many of their own tequilas, which make for some delicious artisan cocktails. I love this place!

Mi ranchito is your local Mexican restaurant. It was packed on a Saturday night even half an hour before closing my boyfriend and I still had to wait 15 minutes for a table! When we sat down the server was great. She introduced herself and bought us chips and salsa. It took her a while longer to bring out waters and we had to ask one other guy to bring us waters so we could handle their spicy salsa. The salsas were great though, I like their avocado salsa the best. Watch out for their creamy orange salsa! That one is a 9 out of 10 spicy! It’ll make you sweat. We also ordered a blended strawberry margarita which was really really bomb! My boyfriend said it was one of the best he’s ever had! The food was pretty good too. I just wanted a salad so I got a shrimp taco salad. It was not bad but their burritos are better(I tried my boyfriends mi ranchito burrito) it was large and quite flavorful! Next time I’ll be back for more

The abuelo macho can feed your whole family.(Never seen a burrito that huge before, now everywhere is making them but mi ranchito makes them the best) Happy hour is great to Monday-Friday from 3 – 7:00pm. Can’t beat the price only 3.50 for margaritas

Ever since moving to northern California from the Los Angeles area, I have been in search of a, if not great, decent, Mexican food restaurant. This week it was Mi Ranchito’s turn. The parking lot is full, always a good sign, the place is lively, seems like fun and there is a wait. All points are positive. While they say they take reservations on their web-site; they really don’t. When I was told the wait was 25 — 30 minutes, I asked, «what if I have made a reservation». I was told«oh, we don’t really take them when we are busy». OK… so you only take reservations when you are NOT busy. That makes sense. Not. So you give them your phone number and they will call you when your table is ready. No where else to go and wait, so we’ll wait here. So we sit at the bar, did find a seat, and order a Margarita and a beer. No auto chips and salsa, you have to ask, but if you do, they will bring them. Drinks are decent, but they are limited in the tequila they offer. The Mariachi band strikes up. A little loud, but it seems nice to have live music. We are taken to our seats, about a total of 15 minutes wait time, and are seated at a table in the middle of the room; the dining room is fairly roomy so you are not sitting on top of each other. Then the Mariachi band comes into the dining room and starts, with 1 of 5 Happy Birthday. PLEASE; how many times can I listen to happy birthday Mexican style? Can’t we just line everyone up and play it once then get on to something else? Anyway, we get the new guy in training, he does a fine job of taking our order and brining the food out. We start with their Seafood Cocktal de Pulpo & Camaron($ 11.95). While the seafood was tender and tasty, the sauce was tomatoey and bland. Where’s the citrus? Where’s the heat? Where’s the flavor? I ordered the Chiles Relleno with a Carnitas Taco(#9 on the menu $ 8.99) and the hubs got Chicken Mole Enchiladas(#19 on the menu $ 10.25) with a crunchy Taco($ 2.50). The food came very quickly. Now, my carnitas were ok… roasted pork that was then fried to give it the crispiness carnitas need, my rice and beans =- adequate and the chilies relleno? Soft, soggy and limp. And worse, it was all lukewarm. My hubs liked his mole, I thought it too sweet, and his taco had, well, some sort of anemic looking salsa on it with some pathetic shredded lettuce. Obviously I’ve set my sites to high. Again. LindySez: This place is popular and seems like a fun place to hang. But when it comes to food, I think I will have to keep on looking.
