Waffleholic Cafe

Came here for the first time today. Cash only and the most unwelcoming service. Very awkward service here… I wanted to leave immediately but had to wait for my order.

Welcome to the place where the waffles are great. So great, in fact, that I easily ignored the fact that this is a CASH ONLY establishment, which in regular circumstances drives me nuts. After you make the dreadful effort of finding an ATM and come back, you will find a perfect mix of super-​friendly and hilariously grump service. But the waffles… waffles are so good that I can easily ignore even the dirty plate that I got when I asked for an extra plate. It’s only some sugar and cream on the plate that wasn’t cleaned properly and was just crammed in the dish washer… yet it just doesn’t bother me. Because waffles at this place… finger-​licking delight.
So, here’s a pledge. I like this place. There are a few things that I, clearly stated above, don’t like and approve of, but… I will be back here and will update my review. I don’t know when and I don’t know why, but I know that I will be back here. Because… these waffles are just so damn good.

I am not sure if they just opened or what the deal is, however after watching two different sets of people walk out and standing in line for twenty minutes… without someone helping take orders to get the line moving. Well, we left as well.
The menu looks good and the pictures do as well, just think they need to get the timing down and customer service. I will not come back for a while to give them time to work out the kinks.

Bacon waffle with peanut butter and maple syrup… perfect balance of sweet and salty. The coffee is good (and hot!) The fried potatoes are really delicious! The bacon is, in a word, PERFECT. The crew there is friendly and helpful, and will let you customize your waffle to make sure you are totally satisfied. This could be my new favorite place… I’m in Fat Girl Heaven!

So lame! I arrived at 1:10pm with my best friend to get some waffles and they were closed. Funny because they say they’re open 8am-​2pm 7 days a week. I guess they don’t count Thursday as a day of the week.

Waffles are excellent! Service is the WORST.
Been coming here since they opened. The service has never improved. The staff is polite so no issue there BUT the wait for your food is the longest of ANY restaurant we’ve ever been to… EVERY TIME. More waffle presses and more crew members operating them would speed up the process. Also, for some reason, there’s ALWAYS new employees. Where do all the other ones go because we never see them again. We assume they quit or get fired since many times we have witnessed the owner snapping at her employees about one thing or another. Ongoing mystery.
Without fail, my boyfriends breakfast is always brought out ten mins or more before mine, leaving two options… eat in front of me while I continue waiting so at least you’re not starving and your food doesn’t get cold or let your food get cold so we can actually eat at the same time like most people aim to do. I order the Frenchy which is sweet & delicious and topped with a bunch of berries and whip cream but apparently takes longer than his Americano, Denver Stomp, or Hangover… hmm.
Anywho, food is bomb but the wait, ever changing staff, and the new «cash only, there’s a bank up the street» bs warrant 3.5 stars which I can’t give, so I chose 3.

Came for the waffles, stayed for the the entertainment. If you are someone that enjoys a well oiled, operationally effective and efficient machine that serves you food, do not come here.
If you are less concerned about consistency, timely and/​or accurate service and are willing to take a journey, then you will likely be rewarded with delicious fresh made waffles.
Words cannot really convey how ridiculous the servers are here but just a short highlight of our groups experience :
Waitress bring us watermelon and says I know it’s not very red but don’t worry about how pink it is, it is very sweet and juicy. She than paused and said here come the that’s what she said joke. She then told us that watermelon is a Labor Day thing. …It was Memorial Day.
Then my friend BLT waffle came out but the bacon was missing. She went inside to report the missing bacon and before she had a chance to ask she was told that it was in the oven. A few minutes later the bacon arrived at the table. The waitress apologized and informed us that they have a «dumb» waiter and so he brought her plate out before they had finished preparing it.
And on and on it went…
Will certainly come back again for what I’m sure will be plenty of laughs, uncertainly about when or what will come out when your dish arrives, and of course the bomb waffles.

Wow! By far the best waffles I have ever had. The service was awesome and the cashier (male with a camo hat) was super cool! Very much a hole in the wall and can be missed if just driving by. I tried the Denver stomp and lived it!

My family and I love coming here. Cool atmosphere, awesome art work, great customer service (esp. Clayton!), and of course, some of the tastiest waffles around!

EDIT: BRING CASH! I luckily have chase, but I had to run over and pull money out because they weren’t taking card payments at the time.
I am a huge waffle fan. I decided to come here for breakfast one day just to try it out. I got the french toast one and it was amazing, the fruit is fresh and the bacon is cooked to perfection. My boyfriend got a savory waffle with eggs, sausage, and bacon which was absolutely delicious.
The only couple of problems I had were that there was a small wait for our coffee, we mentioned it once and it wasn’t until an older family came in that it was refilled. I also ordered a mint yerba mate but it was out of stock so I went for the pomegranate, but was given a raspberry which wasn’t a problem I am not picky, but my drink was expired which I had not noticed until I drank more than half. I also noticed some of the workers not wearing gloves when handling the food. I’ve worked in management in the food industry and I feel like this place just needs a little TLC within the way it is ran.
All in all it was a great little find and I would be more than happy to keep coming here and watch as their business progresses.

Amazing waffles!!! I ordered Frenchy of course, since I love berries (: and it was delicious. Berries were perfectly sweetened and I loved that there were white raspberries. So yum! Two meals with sides of potatoes and eggs, plus two fresh squeezed orange juices for such a very reasonable price of $ 30.20…definitely coming back! Well worth it.

Not worth the money!
They attempt to be a boutique Waffle House but fail miserably. The menu is deceiving, the seating is impossible and service is nonexistent. It’s a help yourself kind of place. There is also no ‘free coffee’ sign by the coffee so you wouldn’t know it was free unless you ask.
I ordered a tutti fruity which insinuated a strawberry and banana waffle with
berries, in reality it was a regular tasting, waffle with strawberry/​banana and berries on top. The way it’s written makes you think the waffle is flavored. Not fluffy crisp delicious waffles either. Silverware sit outside accumulating dust from the parking lot and everything else is old and/​or plastic.

Cool shopping center, but very limited parking. They offer complimentary coffee, but the trash bin next to it was disgusting. I was trying to throw away a packet of sugar and when I lifted the lid, dozens of fruit flies came flying out… not the way I want to start my morning before I’ve eaten anything.
These overpriced waffles were delicious but not delicious enough for me to go down the street to retrieve cash because their credit card machine was down. Once we finished eating, we wanted to get some boxes for to go, but they were out. We waited at least 20 minutes till the employee came back from the grocery store with the groceries/​boxes for the day. Lol. It’s not like we came here at the crack of dawn either… it was freakin 11am! This place needs a new owner/​management because it had lots of potential. I’m not wasting my time and coming back here. Boo!

Im from San Diego and My kids and I went for breakfast. Lets just say this place is delicious! But not just that the Owner is so kind and kid friendly! Had the Southern Comfort which is chicken fried steak with potatoes and tomato slices and of course a great waffle. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Real maple syrup is a plus. A lot of food for $ 12. Highly recommend!

This is the best place to go for breakfast! My boyfriend and I just tried it today for the first time and it’s absolutely amazing!!! We will defienntally be eating here again! I got the tutti fruti and it was so yummy and they give you so much fruit :)
I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Amazing. Everyone must try :)

Phenomenal meal! Wife and I split a savory and sweet entrée by getting the Patty melt & the adult PB&J. Oh Mah Gah! I was hoping for and expecting good food based off the reviews but WOW! My wife and I actually were constantly commenting how great the food was with every bite. I ate half of the Patty melt first and I was very interested in the combinations of flavors and ingredients would come together for the savory dish as I’d never had a waffle any other way but sweet or with chicken and what really caught my attention was how good the waffle itself was! I honestly would have been very satisfied coming here and getting just that waffle by itself even without syrup. So with that said, you then throw in the beef Patty and MAPLE MUSTARD??? Done deal! SOOO GOOD! Their side potatoes that come with it are great as well.
Now for that adult PB&J, it was nothing short of the name. I feel like whenever you come across «child hood favorite» renditions you get excited and expect alot. This definitely lived up to ours! How can you go wrong with a bacon waffle to start and then beautifully top it off with peanut butter and homemade jelly. We were offered syrup on the side and didn’t even touch it!
We will definitely be back… multiple times ;)

This place is AMAZING. It’s a hidden gem worth the stop. I ate here in the morning and was satisfied the entire day. The food they make is art. No really it’s art. It looks great, taste great, smells great, is great.
Take a date here, swing by here during lunch or just take your mom — any excuse you can make is worth the trip.

Apple Strudel (4 stars) — The waffles are perfectly fluffy but crisp on the outside. I loved that the topping had nuts AND dried fruit in it as well. It added great flavor and texture. And I actually saw the chef peeling the apple fresh! I was impressed with the fresh ingredients. But, the apples were a little too soft of my taste but it wasn’t something that bothered me much. It comes with 2 strips of bacon and they were also cooked to perfection!
Monsieur Sandwich (4 stars) — My boyfriend ordered this one and it was yummy! I only had a bite, but I like that they use sausage patties because it adds so much flavor and spice. I also enjoyed the runny egg. It was messy but so worth it.
Service (2 stars) — The chef was a little bit distant and when we first walked in, the whole place was empty except for us and one other customer picking up an order, on her way out. The chef saw us and continued to talk to the other customer and didn’t even say she’d be with us in a minute. It bothered me a bit. She gets 1 star. BUT another worker (I think kitchen staff?) came by and was really friendly to us and he helped us with the menu. He deserves 4 stars but the average of it all, I’d have to say 2 stars because we were ignored when we walked in.
But I’m still curious about their other waffles, and the food I got was pretty good so I’d have to say I’d return.

Looks better than it tastes :(the waffle should have been cooked a little longer so it would have more of a crunch, the salmon was poached for too long and pretty much the dry texture takes over as the flavor isn’t very apparent either. The potatoes were good and nicely cooked, asparagus not bad either. The eggs were definitely not done the way you would expect from «Benedict of the Sea» so no eggporn as it was fully cooked.
The best thing here was their service– super friendly! Even though it’s an order first, seat yourself set-​up, they do bring you your food and also come to check on you/​bring you anything else you need.
Tip: ask for their syrup! So good.
