WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBABY! okay this truck, rather, the lady making the tortillas knows what she’s doing. She makes the corn tortillas, sopes, etc from scratch. You can see her going to town as you order, wait, eat or whatever. Ordered: Sopes Carne Asada Al pastor taco Gordita Carne asada I’ve never had a taco situation when the tortilla was the main attraction, but oh my… the taste of the sope base was just perfection(texture and taste). I know, how does something as simple as a corn tortilla get some much love? Find this truck… i’m telling you I would take a bite, then pause, and look at it with a raised eye brow. Then look to my left(gf) then right(gf’s bro Nam) one was just nodding and chewing… the other was smiling with big eyes. Do yourself a favor and find this truck. We found it on Bristol right next to the Food 4 Less parking lot, ironically, right behind Tacos Mexico. Great idea Victor!

This is one of those things you kick yourself for not knowing about earlier if you live in the area. It’s simple, CHEAP, and a great way to start your weekend morning. We’ve made a trip to this truck parked along the west side of the swap meet a regular thing now. The gorditas(NOTTACOBELL) are the thing to try, similar to a papusa but thinner and about 7″ round, with it’s pillowy masa griddled to a crisp finish on the outside and lightly filled with several options from chicharron(pork), requeson(savory cheese), to rajas con queso(jalapeño & cheese). They’re made to order so you’ll step aside after ordering and wait about 5min. The tacos are also very popular here, but if you’re looking for something new try the gordita. One gordita, enough to fill one person, is $ 3. And, I recommend walking the entire row of food trucks, picking up a jugo(juice) for $ 2 and some fresh roasted corn $ 2 a little further south along the row. A full meal all freshly made for $ 7!!! They’re at the OCC Swap Meet Sat & Sun.
