Starbucks

Likely one of the busiest Starbucks in OC. The line is always out the door. Make sure you order with the Starbucks mobile app otherwise you will be waiting for 30mins for your drink.

Went there to get a Frappucino and a couple other drinks with my family and they got all the orders wrong. Service is just not consistent with all the other Starbucks (San Francisco mostly, and Orange County). Wasn’t very impressed. So beware you might get a mixup on your order.

I use the SB app almost daily to order my drinks. this location took 20 minutes to make my drink when the app said «3 – 8 minutes!» It’s 10:56AM.

Came here yesterday 11÷07÷15, 30 minutes wait for my iced coffee. WTH how hard is to pour coffee into a cup? And the employees here kept on making excuse that their one machine broke. But my drink don’t need any machine. Won’t ever come back to this location again

Hate the service here. The people just either don’t seem to understand their job or are to lazy. I hate having to go to this Starbucks sometimes bc of how slow they are or how my order will never be right.

A new employee at this Starbucks was supposed give free refill on a Venti iced green tea (or at least, only charge me $.50) since I’m a Gold Card member, but didn’t. Don’t think she asked for my name, so I grabbed someone else’s drink. Also, there was no Splenda where the sugar was. I had to ask for it. Starbucks should also have stevia which I prefer. The other day a new employee at this Starbucks made my drink wrong. I had to wait until another one was made.

Terrible. Waited 30 minutes for 2 drinks and for paying 5 $ each, my pumpkin spice latte tastes like water. Didn’t want to wait another 30 mins for them to make it again… Horrible team they put in place there.

This Starbucks is now remodeled and much bigger than before! However, bigger space does not mean better service.
I came in at around 12:30 PM to redeem my free drink, and there wasn’t anyone in the line. Before I told the barista my order, I clearly stated that I had a free drink. He says ok and continues to take my order. Afterwards, he scans my phone and said I still owed some money. I’m like «What. I just told you that I have a free drink.» Luckily, he was able to refund the money and then apply the free drink.
Despite there being about 4 other customers waiting for drinks, it took over 15 minutes to get my drink out. And when the barista finally had my drink ready, he realized he didn’t add the pumpkin spice topping (I got the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino with whipped cream). He did offer to take my drink back and add the topping, but at that point, I was sick and tired of waiting, so I said it was fine and left.
If this is what the place is like when it’s not overly crowded, I don’t even want to know what it’s like on the weekends.
Also, they don’t write on the cups at all! You order gets printed out on a sticker, then stuck onto the cup.

The staff is friendly but they are so incredibly slow here. Even when there are 4 – 5 people working and hardly any customers waiting in line, it can be a 10 – 15 wait just to get your drink.
Our company recently moved from being right next to fashion island and it used to be packed during lunch hour in that SB but I would never wait as long as I do at this one.

I’ve been here twice now and of course it busy but they are working pretty fast, decently staffed to get through the early morning rush. The fact that they didn’t have bagels sucked but they weren’t very apologetic either. I can understand running out of things, but bagels where people go to get quick coffee and breakfast seems crazy.

Stood in a long line to order a vanilla iced coffee with milk. They gave me just an iced coffee. I ended up just throwing it away.

I don’t usually get Starbucks but after the new flavors were released I had to try at least one. The lines are typical considering its Starbucks on a weekend afternoon. The workers were very energetic and friendly. They interacted with the customers and made it more entertaining while waiting for my order. I got the lemon bar frap because I love lemon bars… obviously. I waited for my drink for maybe 10 minutes and the drink was very disappointing. It was way too runny tasted like a melted drink instead of a frap. There was no taste of a lemon bar just lemon. My curiosity was satisfied but my taste buds weren’t.

Great service and drinks, my 3 stars reflect the long line we had to wait to order and and wait for our drink…

Came here after the remodel and there was only a few people in line. I ordered an orange mango smoothie and it took around 20 minutes to finally get my drink. Upon receiving my drink, the barista says that they weren’t able to put enough of one of the ingredients so she gave me a free drink card and said if the drink wasn’t great, she would make another one instead. Awesome service!

Spent time here while waiting on service for my car at the Sears automotive center. Location was just inside the mall at the sears entrance, which was super convenient. Fast and friendly service. Food was good, plenty of seating to spread out at a table and study for my boards. Not sure why the rating here is so low, because my experience was great.

The most disgusting Starbucks I have ever been to ! It beats the one in DTSA on 4^th where the bums shower in the restroom! This is the one in the mall next to Sears. The lines are long and even though they do move fast, this is a filthy gross place! I can’t believe that Starbucks corp would allow this! Gnats everywhere you look ! Above the syrups, at the bar where you pick up your drinks all along the ceiling ! It gave me the heebee Jeebees!!! I told the girl but she ain’t got time for that ~ she whooshed away the gnats and kept shouting her orders out. Health inspectors you need to get here stat !!!

Coming out of Unilocal retirement…
On Dec 24^th around 5, I decided that I wanted to quench my coffee thirst. This is usually my favorite time of year for Starbucks since they have their holiday coffee menu up. My favorite is the Salted Iced Carmel Mocha. It is a holiday drink and I have asked for it at other times during the year and I have been told that it is a seasonal drink since they usually don’t carry the salt any other time of the year.
Well apparently according to the male employee working the register he stated that it is not a holiday drink, so I wouldnt be able to take advantage of the 50% off holiday drink offer that I have with the Starbucks app.
Well I have news for you… I was able to order the drink and get half off elsewhere. Thanks for nothing.

This is the Starbucks inside South Coast Plaza on the second floor right across from Din Tai Fung. As my parents waited to get seated at the restaurant across the way from Starbucks, we picked up some items at the café to hold them over before dinner.
Using my husband’s gift card, we ordered:
1) Almond croissant
2) Triple berry croissant
3) Green machine smoothie (kinda like the green Naked Juice)
4) Blubbery muffin
All items picked out were tasty & good thing they heated up the pastries for us. Tastes better that way :)

This place is always somewhat busy. I think this is the only place that has a line out of the door but I guess people can’t live without their coffee especially at South Coast Plaza. Maybe they should move their store to a larger location inside the mall?
Occasionally I have a hankering for some frap and being that they’re around 600 calories for a venti size, I got a quick pick me up to help me shop at the mall. Service was nice but slow since there’s lots of customers.

Matt is so friendly! Actually took the name to spell my name correctly — which is no small task lol
Then told me that this is my drink and so my name should be spelled correctly — not like someone else’s. Love it!
