I have been Vicki’s customer for 15 years + and I think she is the best hair colorist in the area. She really knows her trade, is very quick and efficient, and a very friendly person.

My regular colorist canceled on the day of my appt due to a medical emergency. Since it was last minute, I turned to Unilocal and happened to find this place just down the street from my house! With a name like Primarily Color, I thought what could go wrong – right? Vicki fit me in the very next day, and I immediately felt at ease walking into her charming little studio. It is warm and inviting, with a relaxing, friendly vibe – just like Vicki. As owner/​proprietor, Vicki has 35 years of experience (although she doesn’t look it ;)), has trained many other colorists, and I could tell I was in good hands as we talked through the game plan for my hair. She introduced me to a new product that was fast (15 min), gentle, and no ammonia smell! The end result was soft shiny hair with beautiful natural color. If you’re looking for someone who has the right expertise and attention to detail, plus makes you feel welcome like visiting with a good friend, look no further. Vicki is an amazing colorist. My hair never looked better! She really is an artist and understands the use of color. She paints beautiful points of light throughout the hair while adding depth and maintaining a natural organic balance so it doesn’t look overdone and harsh. Vicki does a fabulous job on color and cuts and has years of experience. I have been going to Vicki for color for many years on a monthly basis and I have always been more than happy with the results. My favorite part is she is on time and quick 100% of the time.

Vicky did a great job on my hair. She listened to what I requested and did what I asked. The results where what I hoped for. Her salon is clean and professional. I did not have to wait, which means a lot to me! Vicky specializes in color but does the cut as well, so you won’t be passed around. The salon is above Back Bay Fitness– it is a bit hard to find because the address system in the shopping center is a bit confusing so look for the fitness center and go above that.
