Maybe this was a great place a few years ago but not anymore. The owner moved and tries to do it all long distance. But she won’t tell you that. She just keeps stringing you along. She has very nice ladies working for her in Costa Mesa but they don’t have authority to do much. Save yourself a headache, and go somewhere else where you can actually see things in person, instead of pictures on the computer. Oh yeah, and I had to proof my own addresses for the envelopes, even though I paid for her business to do it. Had to pay upfront before I could approve anything.

Artiface created beautiful wedding invitations for us, however because of the price and customer service, we are giving them 2 stars. Kristy was friendly to meet with at first, but after we signed and put down the deposit, things changed. We were treated like a transaction or money cow, rather than customers.
When she couldn’t provide the brooch we picked and we set a follow-​up meeting (we came in from out of town), last minute she didn’t show because her pet was «ill.» We ended up having to go with a more expensive alternative we liked less and she offered no discount or effort to accommodate for the inconvenience.
Most importantly, they are very quick to UP-​CHARGE you for anything. While other invitationists are flexible with you and offer considerable «perks,» Artiface is not like that. Their perks are a joke in comparison to what others offer.
Our original budget was $ 10 – 15 an invite, we put a deposit down with quote cost of about $ 16 and after additional fees ended up paying more than $ 20/​each. Ultimately we paid more than $ 3000, for invitations we could have gotten from other invitationists we met with for under $ 2000. I would recommend looking at alternatives like Calligraffiti in Irvine or Invitation Design Studio in Tustin for better value and customer service.

Artiface is the BEST source for making top quality invitations. They made amazing save the dates for my wedding, as well as my actual invitation. Both projects turned out exactly how I wanted. They had great service and were very accommodating. I have gotten so many compliments on my wedding invites, people are amazed when they see them. I had somewhat of an unusual order, to sum up my wedding theme in one word I would say «trees». The ladies at Artiface stuck with that and printed my invitations on real wood!!! I was so impressed, love this place. Best in Orange County, but keep in mind the best in the OC is not cheap. I still think it was worth it though…

Such an adorable and personable invitations studio. They make you feel completely at home and even offer ESSPRESSO DRINKS ladies! I mean it doesn’t get much better than that (if you’re a coffee lover like me ;).
I was planning my sons first birthday party and I wanted to do a Vintage Cowboy theme. Unfortunately I couldn’t find ANYTHING that didn’t look cheesy and cheap to help with the vision I wanted. After speaking with Artiface they not only completely understood the look I was going for but delievered the cutest invite I have EVER seen for a kids birthday. I mean it was so ridiculousy perfect I couldn’t have thought of something better myself (and Im pretty picky!). The best part was they were also able to incorporate the theme into Wanted Posters with my sons picture, note cards for guests to write my little man a message and hang on a rope, and thank you cards.
The party was a huge sucess and guests were actually asking to take home some of the Wanted Posters because they were so flippin cute! Guests couldn’t be more complimentary of the entire event and I know it was due to how well everything worked together. Im not sure a party planner could have made it look more professional.

The Short–

4. Offer excellent help and service even if you are only buying pieces to DIY… Don’t try anything until you talk to them :)
The Long–
Invitations set the whole tone for an event-​but they can also blow the budget really quickly. In my case, I wanted to send out pocket-​fold wedding invitations; but I didn’t want to shell out 15 bucks per… after all, they end up in the trash. while I did find the product I wanted online, I had to locate a store that carried the line… and THAT is how I found artiface. I moseyed in one weekday afternoon to see the colors that the envelopes I wanted came in. Even though I was only buying the envelopment, Kristy and her staff were REALLY helpful. They took plenty of time to help me find the perfect color envelopment and then helped me order them… and even though I got lucky and had my invitations printed through a friends marketing and design company at below wholesale cost, I contracted artiface to print the return addresses on the invitations because a) they offer a great deal on the printing price, b0 they guarantee a percentage of the envelopes printed (so if more than 10% get messed up, they eat the cost) and c) when kristy sent me the first proof it was amazing I didn’t realize return addresses could be exciting enough to be amazing.
I give this place five freaking stars!!!

If you have the money to spend on having invitations custom made for your event (I’m talking average $ 15 and upwards per invite), by all means, this is your kind of place. They will provide you as much or as little help as you need to make pretty little invitations and stationery for you. They’ve been in the business for a while and know what they are talking about.
Why 2 stars? «Meh, I’ve experienced better» really sums it up well. I wanted the nice cardstock and wanted the accessibility to the resources they could help me with (scoring, diecutting, etc.), but overall I wanted to make my own invites. I always felt like they were dragging, probably because I wasn’t a top priority customer spending thousands. They messed up some very important details that made my pieces of the puzzle just fall apart. Lesson learned, don’t go there if you’re cheap. Like me.
