First time I went in I was asking about a brow product because I have very sparse eyebrows so I thought it would be nice to fill them in. I made a comment about my brows to an older female worker and she basically insulted me and looked at my eyebrows in disgust. I understand that my eyebrows were not on fleek but she shouldn’t have insulted me in such a manner especially since I was coming to her for help not to feel worse about myself.

The store is great for purchasing high end beauty products and that’s it. There is no «customer service» when I go in. If I have question I have to search for an employee. I would not recommend the salon to my worst enemy. I got my hair cut and colored there a year ago and had to get it fixed by the manager later. I was charged $ 140 for a trim and my hair color looked exactly the same as it was before she colored it. I showed the lady a picture of how I wanted my hair and it turned out nothing like it. Skip to a year later, I was in need of a simple trim (just about an inch off to get rid of split ends) the lady cut 5 inches off my hair, better yet it there was about an inch difference in length from my left side to my right side! The manager wouldn’t get me in to fix their mistake with anyone. I had to drive from Corvallis to Keizer for their salon to fix it. I called customer service (which I never do) and all they did was say «sorry». I was so disappointed.

I frequent this store since it’s the only place in Corvallis that sells high end makeup. However, every time I shop here, there is ALWAYS at least one thing on my list that is out of stock. Really frustrating. I can’t speak about the customer service, or lack there of, since I do my research before going to the store and usually know exactly what I’m looking for. The rewards and coupons are great, but I can’t really recommend this store based on my experiences shopping there.

I went to Krystal at the beauty bar. She is great and super friendly. I was really nervous about getting my brows waxed but she mapped them out, meaning she drew were they are supposed to be according to your face shape, and told you what she wanted to do and asked if you if that was okay. She matched my uneven brows and they look so much better. She did however wax them a little thin to my liking. It was $ 21 for the waxing and she also fixes your makeup afterwards.

Krystal at the Benefit Brow Bar is AWESOME! Über helpful, professional, and thorough. When the store first opened, I had heard good things about her magical unicorn fingers and brows. I had previously had a horrid threading experience in Albany and was terrified of having someone wreck my current disastrous grown out eyebrows. Krystal put all my worries at ease! She talked me through the process, mapped out my brows, painlessly waxed them, and even proceeded to fix my makeup afterwards so I wouldn’t leave looking like a blotchy red tomato! Fabulous, absolutely fab.

There isn’t anywhere in Corvallis to purchase high end cosmetics so the best reason to shop there is the convenience factor. In general, ULTA is great because of the sales/​coupons and rewards points toward purchases That said, and being a former ULTA employee down in southern california, I cannot recommend much else about this particular location. The sales staff aside from the hairstylists and the esthetician at the brow bar are completely unknowlegdable and not very helpful. I know more about the lines they carry than they do and I haven’t worked in cosmetics in over 2 years! Also, ULTA always understaffs the cashiers/​sales associate (they usually have the associate do both). When people are using multiple coupons plus their rewards it takes a lot longer to check out and they really need to have more staff to help out.
In summary, great place to pick up items and get deals but don’t expect to sing the praises of the employees.

Mixed emotions on what this store offers but over all sorely disappointed. I think maybe since there isn’t anything else like this beauty store in Corvallis it’s going to gain a lot of popularity however I know what great Ulta stores are like and unfortunately this store doesn’t cut it.
I have to agree with an earlier review that the girl at the brow bar is awesome. Seriously amazing and helpful and knows her product and overall great demeanor. She is the only reason I went back to the store a few times for various products and hauls.
Unfortunately on my 3^rd consecutive trip of having terrible customer experience repetitively from remaining staff I figured this could NOT be just a fluke?
Out of eleven available lip colors for a particular line all but 3 were not on the stock shelf. When I asked someone it was «oh yeh we are out sorry» I had to ask them to open the restock drawer to check since they didn’t offer. Low and behold the one I wanted was there… another occasion at the counter purchasing items they determined I couldn’t buy something that was on the shelf with a full price sticker that I was willing to pay because it had been discontinued so they «should» have pulled it off the shelf, yeh I guess so! Lastly, I went in with my 12 year old daughter and left her to choose from some lip glosses while I picked up other items and overheard a worker complaining to someone else about having to help a kid try on gloss. Yup my kid!
I’m gladly visiting Sephora in Salem in lue of this mess of a store. If that brow girl were made in charge I bet she could give some perspective on customer service. And don’t be so quick to judge those 12 year old girls because some of them have money in their pockets or, are shopping with mama.

This is a very clean and overall friendly Ulta Location. Since I live in the dorms at OSU i am able to walk to this location and buy any new makeup I have researched and got to love when they have NYX 40%.

Great new addition to Corvallis! See Krystal at the brow bar for great natural, brow waxing and makeup tips. I lucked out and just walked in but she takes appointments too.
