I hired Jared Thayer this spring to do some work in a townhouse that I own in Corvallis and use as a rental. Since I live in Portland, I needed someone I can call to do various repairs as necessary. I found Jared on Unilocal,liked his reviews and gave him a try.
He was very attentive to my needs and displayed a very professional and knowledgeable manner which I liked very much. I gave him a to do list of various repairs some very easy and some more complicated. He was very clear on his pricing and attended to the repairs quickly. My son lives at the property and informed me that Jared was great and the repairs are perfect!
Jared made it clear that he would always try to find the most cost effective fix when possible. My invoice from him was complete and reasonably priced. I am exceedingly happy with Thayer Construction and can recommend that highly.

Thayer Construction was super helpful getting the house I recently moved to ready to live in. Jared completed a number of projects on my house, including painting, stabilizing loose stairs, installing new faucets and towel bars, making and installing a missing screen, sealing a hole in the outside wall, putting in missing closet doors, and more. As a bonus, he even picked up and assembled a new office chair from a nearby store. Jared has a range of excellent construction skills, and will consult with other experts on tricky repairs to make sure it’s done right the first time. His charges are also reasonable and he is definitely reliable. Update in Spring 2016: I have worked with Jared on several other projects since I first posted this review, and was very happy with Jared’s work and reliability on all of them. Most recently, he installed a new over-​the-​stove microwave to replace an ancient, broken appliance, and did it extremely efficiently and expertly.
