I enjoy the exercise classes. The therapy pool is the proper temperature and the exercise and stretching works to help reduce chronic pain. The staff is friendly and encouraging and so are the patrons.

I’ve been swimming here for decades. Staff is wonderful. Lots of great activities and options for everyone. Plenty of space, especially in the summer. Love it!

Very happy business person! This review is from the perspective of a local business that rented the Aquatic Center for a community event. I was the key organizer and creator for a large community event this last weekend at the OAC. Michael Fischer was my contact from start to finish and my client(the event sponsor) and I are very pleased with the entire experience. First of all, the rates are fantastic. We rented the entire building, but soon found out that we weren’t just getting the facility for that fee, but also full staffing for our event! Michael told us repeatedly that they were there to help us, even offering to help us get the word out via facebook and their email list. On the day of the event, I had Michael at my beckoned call– opening service gates, bringing out tables, getting us extra tents for shade– I don’t think I heard a «No» all day from Michael or his staff. We ended up having roughly a 1000 people at the event. It was huge. Trash cans were filled multiple times, furniture was moved about, rented gear had to be returned– lot’s of cleanup. Michael’s staff sprung into action tackling the cleanup AND helping us with some of our tear down of booths, tables as needed. I really can’t state more emphatically how pleased I was partnering with the OAC and specifically Michael(Mike) Fischer. Having created or assisted many other events, the OAC is a pretty tight model of what you want in an event venue. No event goes perfectly, but if you’ve got the right venue partner, the important stuff falls into place at the right time. Highly recommended for any other businesses wanting to host a brand-building event/customer appreciation event, etc.

Awesome place for kids’ swim lessons. Our daughter loves coming here for swimming. There are always hordes of kids and parents every evening. My only complaint is that the concrete hallway floor into the locker rooms is pooled with water(no surprises there) and feels somewhat gross. Some mats to walk on would be great.

It is what it is. Big building with a couple of pools in it. Locker rooms aren’t super nice, facilities aren’t super nice. Staff seems friendly. This facility is starting to age, and it doesn’t have a ton of «bells & whistles» like some newer facilities(especially those in a larger city like Portland that has a bigger Parks & Rec budget). No complaints, but I’m not raving about it, either.

We started parent-child swimming lessons for my 2 year old son a month ago. When we started he didn’t even want to get into the water, in fact we were 10 minutes late to the first lesson because he would not put his swimsuit on. He has learned so much in a month it’s amazing. The swim instructor is great with kids and does a routine of songs and jumping in that is roughly the same every time so my son knows what to expect and isn’t scared anymore. We’re beginning to learn the songs so he can practice his fishy dive arms and kicking at home too! The pool for the parent child lessons is heated, even when it’s cold out the facility is kept nice and warm which makes for an easy transition from the pool to the changing area. If you’ve ever had swim lessons where it was cold you’ll know how great this is! We’ve never gone for play swims but I’m excited to go this summer, the outdoor area looks like tons of fun! The only wish I have for Osborn is to add some more family changing rooms. They only have 4 and they are always full which means lots of waiting if you’re not the first ones out of the pool. You can take children of the opposite sex with you into the regular changing rooms if they’re under 5, but I need help with a squirmy 2 year old!
