I did not know very much about this restaurant before arriving a couple of weeks ago. People told me about this restaurant and had mixed feelings about it. They told me that the quality of the restaurant was just eh. They told me that the food quality was just plain mediocre and that the service was horrendous, to top it all off they told me the food was too expensive for the mediocreness of this establishment. I went with my mother and my best friend, when we walked in, we were marveled at the architecture of the establishment! It was a very old-school feeling to it, like primitiveness that made it stand out a lot. When we sat down we were instantly greeted with a happy face and glasses of cold water. Menus followed(–within 2 minutes-) shortly thereafter. We ordered a Hawaiian BBQ pizza that a friend of mine said that the: «crust was limp» and the bacon was mostly fat. I had low expectations about the dish, I thought that it would be exactly as my friend described it. I was wrong. The pizza arrived and when I took my first bite I was amazed on how well cooked the pizza was. The crust was extremely crispy and thin. Which is awesome! The pulled pork was the epitome of how pulled pork should be, juicy and full of flavor. The bacon was very indeed the complete opposite that my friend described it, it was very crunchy and well made. The only negative aspect that I found would be that the waiters weren’t very friendly and attentive of us. Sure we got attended very quickly. But I didn’t feel that heartwearming-welcoming-atmosphere I thought I would expect when I walked in. I am definitely looking forward to-my next visit(–hopefully the waiters are more welcoming next time-).

This rating is only for Fireworks Thanksgiving Day meal. Since, I needed to be in Oregon for Thanksgiving, I needed to figure out what to do for family dinner. I searched high and low for a place that could serve a great meal in a homey atmosphere that would do the trick. Fireworks fit the bill! Atmosphere — rustic. Just like a good old fashion Thanksgiving should be. 5 stars. Service– Most accommodating, and friendly. 5 stars. Food– Turkey was ok 3 stars. Vegetables were fantastic, 5 stars Salad fine, 4 stars Soup no flavor, bland 2 stars(worst part of meal) Dessert very good, but doubtful it was homemade. I didn’t ask. But SYSCO makes great cakes and pies. The dark chocolate torte was incredible and rich. The pumpkin pie was good too. Whipped cream was real. 4 stars Stuffing — well I like stuffing of any kind. This was really good, but it felt like stove top with some extra fresh additions. 5 stars none the less Gravy — just ok 3 stars Drinks — I think they specialize here. All the drink specials were tried plus the wine pairings with the meal. Awesome– 5 stars. Price– 252.00 for 5 people for the works. 4 stars There you go. Now you can get an idea of what to expect. Yes, I would do it again. But I still prefer Thanksgiving at home. Can not wait to actually go here for pizza and drinks. I hear it is great, but you need a reservation.

Absolutely brutal. I was in Corvallis visiting friends and family and we decided to head to FireWorks for dinner on a Friday. I was very reluctant as this was my first time back at Fireworks since witnessing the presumably intoxicated, or perhaps simply jerk of an owner turned megalomaniac emcee(named Ocean) verbally harass performers and diners at an open mic event a few years ago. I took a deep breath and decided to forget that miserable experience and try my luck again. BADCHOICE. The restaurant was practically empty yet the service was glacial. The beer was warm and the food was expensive and unmemorable. With very little effort and spare time we could have prepared the same dishes(2 pizzas, a salad, ribs, and«the works» burger) better in our own kitchen. Eye watering prices for bland completely forgettable food. We gave FireWorks a second chance. There will not be a third.

We are new to the area and live close by, and were excited to potentially have a new neighborhood place to frequent. We went on a Sunday afternoon shortly after they opened, and we were the only patrons for the entirety of our ‘meal’. We each ordered a pint of beer(it was warm), and then proceeded to order Happy Hour chicken wings and a Hawaiian BBQ pulled pork pizza. The wings arrived almost immediately — which clued us into the fact that they were pre-cooked — and tasted as such(old). The pizza arrived shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, the crust was limp, the ‘bacon’ was mostly chunks of uncooked fat(which we picked off), and the pulled pork was mediocre at best. The waiter was unresponsive when we showed him the pile of fat on our plate, and then brought warm water to drink(with a sharp-edged chipped glass). We will definitely not be returning for a second try. For the record, we attempted to contact the restaurant before writing this review, but the contact information on the website does not allow an email. Sorely disappointing!

Not sure why this place gets up-and-down ratings. We’ve been here more than once and it’s been uniformly very good. Wonderful thin-crust pizza with fresh toppings, good beer, great mixed drinks. You can feel comfortable in jeans and just as happy dressed up. Super-cool oven, visible near the bar. For more privacy, sit in the back room or outside.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat dinner, but we had not been there in about a year and a half. Ordered the Southtown Blues pizza, sweet potato fries, and a house salad to share. The salad was terrible, totally tasteless and not worth the $ 9 at all. The fries were delicious, and the only redeeming aspect of the meal. We had the pizza in the past and it was an old favorite, but the quality had gone downhill. It had almond slivers instead of hazelnuts, and the cheese lacked the flavor-punch I remembered. Overall, I was disappointed given the cost for our meal. The service was mediocre, our water glasses were frequently empty. Don’t know that I will return anytime soon.

Holy cow! How have I not been here before and I have live in Corvallis for years?! The food is sooo delicious and the atmosphere is very friendly and interesting no matter where you sit! The pizza is by far best in town my husband got the bbq chicken sandwich and he ate every bite! The kids got a pizza and Mac and cheese, my kids are probably the most picky kids ever but they loved it my oldest said he was full but couldn’t stop eating! My company goes out to eat a lot in corvallis and this is our next place for sure! My one and only downfall was my husband french fries were over cooked because of the fire but there was plenty of other food to eat!

Decided to try a local spot — no disappointments here. Can’t comment on service/ambiance as got veggie pizza to go. Can only say, best pizza ever! Love the thin, crisp Neopolitan style crust with LOTS of roasted garlic and carmelized onions. To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger, «I’ll be back!»

How lucky are we that we have this amazing restaurant in our neighborhood? Intimate, comfortable atmosphere, wonderful food choices, and great drinks! I love that their menu is diverse, but still excellent. We always feel welcomed here, and the chef should be proud of the consistent quality of the dishes! I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute in recommending Fireworks for dinner!

I keep on wanting to like this place, and I still go because it’s close; but I am often disappointed. Both in the quality of the food and in the service. Service is often glacially slow, especially if if is busy. The wait staff is nice enough but doesn’t really check on you. They have an awesome cob oven and good pizzas, but for the price I expect my steak to be cooked the way it’s ordered(usually overcooked). Most of the food I find pretty mediocre; although the lamb burger is a standout. Give it a chance, though, and make up your own mind.

Best pizza in town! The crust is thin and crispy. The toppings are inventive and wholesome. The pulled pork hawaiian had the perfect combo of quality veggies, cheese, and meat. The buffalo wings were also tasty. The pieces were meaty and mildly sauced. I prefer a spicier sauce, but still good. The chicken was fatter than chicken wings elsewhere, however this probably because they serve happy local birds. Fully recommend fireworks!

Great night restaurant for date night. Drinks are always well made and food is pretty solid all the way around. Just relax and enjoy a quiet evening. Stop being in such a rush people…

Used to be awesome 10 years ago but now, not so much. The food quality is usually pretty decent but we’ve noticed some inconsistency, and a bit pricey for what you get. They make some pretty incredible drinks, but if you order food, you can expect to wait an hour or more for it, even when the place doesn’t appear to be terribly busy. We had long waits, multiple times, thinking each time that this must be a fluke, which is the main reason for the low stars. The cobb oven is kind of cool, so if you go there, check it out.

Meh. Through all its iterations, it’s still not that great. It is getting better, but I no longer have much optimism. I’ll go back with lowered expectations, and maybe it will be better than meh. But for now — meh. This place started out as a vegan restaurant. Sort of. They had wood fired pizza, and you actually could get cheese. Um, not vegan, but whatever. There was an extra charge, though. Odd. Then they became a vegan restaurant that also served northwest Salmon. Um, I know bacon isn’t a vegetable, but neither is fish. Then they became a vegan restaurant that served northwest salmon and New York steak. I am quite sure that beef isn’t vegan, but maybe I missed something. Service has always been slow. It still is. The remodel has made the place more comfortable and less drafty, but the service is still so-so at best. Meh. Try the lavender martini if you go. It’s a nice cocktail. That’s about the main good thing I can say. Meh. The owner can be patronizing. I find that annoying, but whatever. The pizza is OK. Not outstanding, but OK. They cook most everything in their wood oven. Sometimes they get the timing right, but probably more frequently they don’t. One dish comes to the table hot, but the others are cold by the time they are served. Meh. South Corvallis needs more restaurants. I’m sure I will go try out Fireworks again; I’m always open to changes. I just have lowered expectations now. Meh. I never give a one-star review. Maybe I would if I got food poisoning from a place, but otherwise, I just can’t do it. That’s why I rate this one with two stars. Meh.

Well, we tried. After long delays on our part and kind email exchanges, we made it back to Fireworks to try Ocean’s kind offer of a free meal. I wrote him later to tell him how things went, but never heard back. Here is the upshot of our dining experience: Almost no customers when we dined.(There was one other table filled. One!) The waiter was baffled by the gift certificate Ocean sent us, studying it at length. «Well… I guess it’s legit?» Appalling neglect by manager and waiter. Very long wait for food. What the hell were they doing in the kitchen? There were NOOTHERMEALS being prepared at the time! Okay food, once it finally arrived. Did I mention being ignored by the staff? They walked around, chatted together, and leaned on the bar right in front of us, avoiding eye contact. Even getting a water refill took forever. I wanted to be fair, but the longer I think about it, the more irritated I get. I’ve had better service by really ANGRY truck stop waitresses.

The hours of operation are incorrect so we couldn’t try their food. Fix it and we’ll come back and give them a proper review on their food, service, etc. We were there on Thursday, September 6th, 2012 at 9 – 9:30pm and the place was closed.

I am not sure why this place isn’t more popular! It has fantastical pizza. I came here with two friends for an end-of-the-week outing. We each got a pizza. I got the Southtown Blues pizza with apples, pears, blue cheese and nuts. It was sweet and salty deliciousness on a thin, wood-fired crust. Totally different, but delicious. My friends got the Zorba the Greek pizza and the special BBQ Pulled Pork Hawaiian Pizza special. All of it was fantastic. I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but I will absolutely be coming here for pizza again. The crust was thin and that totally justified me eating my ENTIRE pizza in one sitting. Pizza + drinks + Friday night at Fireworks = great end to the week.

Loved everything I had so far. Love their lamb and feta pizza… not the same as new york pizza but amazing in its own right. Love the lamb burger and ruby drop cocktail. Can you tell that I like lamb… BAAaaaaa… hehe… =(^.^)= You have to try their flourless chocolate cake dessert… it was really really really good…
