not the same old Lous Deli! should consider changing the name, not worthy of that local legend. Their service is terrible, food is low quality and you leave there hungry because they are cheap on the meat. Would recommend driving the additional 2 minutes to Sansotta’s deli or a deli in Peekskill…

Very rude people! I had a bill of $ 6.68 I gave the lady $ 6.67 and would not except! On top of that they don’t except credit card under $ 10 luckily a very nice gentlemen behind me gave me a 1¢. They messed my order up(not first time). Terrible customer service and food is not that great. Would recommend people that can speak and understand English.

This place is disgusting, seriously the food sucks for being a deli and the help are rude and make you feel uncomfortable. Never again.

Every time I come here I greet the very unfriendly staff then place an order. This is the fifth time they messed up my order. I am done… I have been coming here my whole life never an issue with previous owner. Yeah the new Lou‘s is aesthetically pleasing but it is just not the same…

I don’t think this deli deserves any stars. The staff there is rude and you have to explain in detail what your ordering because they do not understand English very well. When ordering a grilled chicken philly sandwich I was yelled at by the woman you order grilled chicken with veggie. There was a nice gentleman that used to work there but I think he is gone, he use to treat the customers like gold. You very rarely see the owners there so their staff just continue to do what they want!

Didn’t want to stop, but they were calling my name. So rather than go food shopping while hungry, the wife and I ducked in for a quick bacon, egg & cheese. Both came with the eggs cooked all the way through. Both of us like a little yolk running around the samitch. I ordered ketchup on mine. I think the cook simply said«Heinz» as they waved the bottle near my roll. Anyway, the place is much cleaner and brighter than before and hopefully, the new bollards will prevent it from becoming a «drive-in» again. Anyway, I’ll go somewhere else for my BEC.

The quality depends a lot on who is working. The old guy who has been there for 30+ years thru 4+ sets of owners makes THEBEST sandwiches. The Spanish girls in the morning serve half raw eggs all the time. The Indian woman in the early afternoons is nasty. The big bald guy at night is cool and fun but his sandwiches are skimpy at best… Wish they could get their quality to be consistent so they could solidify their rank at the top.

I can deal with the overpriced food since it s honestly good, however you better not have anywhere to go because your food will take an unimaginable time to make. 20 min to make a turkey sandwich is ridiculous, and that s after waiting for someone to even take my order. Owners need to reevaluate how they run this place because from a service point of view it absolutely sucks! P.S Joined Unilocal today only to write this review after my lunch experience earlier. That’s how true this is.

Lou’s has just reopened after a massive and much needed renovation and modernization and is once again is the deli, coffee and junkie snax stop while traveling in Cortlandt on 6. Happy New Year!

If dodging seedy and shady characters to get your chicken parm wedge at 2am doesn’t phase you, then you’ll love Lou’s. If you’re packing heat, you should have nothing to worry about. Maybe you’ll even bond with the townies working there. The prices are pretty good for soda, milk, and eggs. The sandwiches and breakfast food are decent too. Lou’s is open 24 hours, making it one of the only viable options in the area if you’re hungry after 10pm.
