I just wanted to say we were very disappointed and dissatisfied with the cake we picked up. The cake was extremely sweet and not worth the $ 93.00 that we paid for it. Hopefully it won’t be like that next time.

The cookies were great! It’s a small shop and they will work with you on custom orders, and they offer a decent selection of fresh baked goods and cakes daily.

Once ran out of Raspberry, so owner substituted Strawberry Jam. How do you run out if you’re running a bakery? Like a bar running out of beer.
Anyway, we’ve tried the rest, and return regularly to Dream Cakes Bakery.

I ordered my son’s first communion cake there and was very disappointed. I had never ordered from them before, but because they are local, I decided to do so. I ordered a chocolate cake with an almond filing. When I cut the cake, to my shock, the color was not the dark I am used to but the reddish brown color similar to that of boxed chocolate cake. The texture was dry, and the cake was also spongy, just like a boxed cake as well. My guests did not enjoy the cake either. I contacted the bakery the very next day to inquire whether I had gotten the wrong cake. I even ended up bringing a large slice of the cake for one of the workers to examine. Stephanie who actually is very pleasant, verified that this is how they make their chocolate cake. I mentioned that I had never seen chocolate cake so light. She responded, and I quote «all cakes are not created equally.» that this is the color, texture and the taste of their cake.
Positive experience: I can say that Stephanie is very friendly and personable, the filing was delish and the price was reasonable, I paid $ 69 for a half sheet cake, (although I only needed to feed about 25 people).
I will never recommend them or purchase cake from them ever. I think that fresh chocolate cake should taste like fresh cake. Not dry and spongy and to make it worst, reddish brown. Terrible cake!

While the cake for my 6 yr old’s birthday was not quite how I envisioned it was cute. Better communication on both parts would have made it perfect. Nonetheless, my son loved the cake. It was very tasty and everyone enjoyed it. This is my second time using this bakery for a birthday cake (perfect experience the first time). Next time, I’ll have the ideas sketched to clear up any questions. Would recommend this bakery again.

I need to remove a star from my previous review because of my last experience here. I came to pick up a loaf of challah bread and it is clearly stale. The texture is that of bread that has been sitting in the freezer or fridge for a few days– it just crumples. What a disappointment.

What a disappointment. I drove here before work to sample their cakes. The woman behind the counter was very helpful, she asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. When they didn’t have exactly what I wanted, she offered to have me come back later so that the baker could make me one. I thought that was very nice, but I decided to go with a basic vanilla cake with brownie and whipped cream filling and white buttercream frosting. The cake was extremely dense, dry, and unflavorful. The filling was very bland, and the buttercream was way too sweet. Like, hurts your mouth when you taste it sweet.
Just, not a good cake. At all. I saw several cakes on display that were decorated beautifully, so if you’re looking for a cake that’s decorated in a fun way, I’m sure you’d love these. But they do not taste as good as they look.

The past few times that I’ve had to get cakes from Dreamcakes (birthdays, family gatherings, etc.), they have just not been that good. The presentation is lovely, but the cake is super-​dry and the buttercream is way too sweet. The customer service is still great, though.
