A solid burger place with nice selection of beer. On the evening we went there they had live music. The only thing was there was only one server for the entire place. I know she tried hard but they need to get more staff.

We’ve come here often and I haven’t been disappointed even once. Delicious food, huge portions and exquisitely presented. Very reasonably priced. The breakfast is just crazy good. And is served all day! If you’re in this area, GOTOBLONDIE’S!!!

Wow. I never expected the food here to be SO good. Been on a road trip from Los Angeles through Colorado and this is the best meal we’ve had in a week. Seriously! The atmosphere is super casual but they have fun live music and the staff is amazing. Get the steak or a burger, plus the fried pickles. I even loved the salad and this is coming from a California salad snob. If you’re in the area do yourself a favor and eat here.

I have visited this place many times for the past 2 years when I am in town. I can honestly say that from the management down, this is one of the WORST establishments in town. No business sense, no knowledge on how to grow and establish a good customer base. You know, things like good service, consistent food quality, this place is bad in every way. No attention to service, bartenders are usually too busy texting or chatting among themselves, I have witnessed sooooo many missed opportunities to give good service. This starts with the Owner, the manager and so on. NOSTANDARDS here. Dont go, save your money

First time we’ve been here. Has changed hands a couple times over the years, the waitress Casey knew the history, it was pretty interesting. Anyway, I’ve had several bad chicken fried steak experiences recently, thank goodness this place broke the unlucky streak. The normal chicken fried steak, tender ad can be, mashed potatoes and country gravy, and a tasty medley of grilled corn, green chiles and onions, and a big side salad with local fresh produce and really good 1000 Island dressing. Cajun fried dill pickles yum, and of course iced tea. Nice atmosphere, comfortable setting, friendly staff, and according to the waitress, a really good chef. Agree!

Stopped for lunch with the family while traveling from Durango to Arizona. We arrived with a hungry party of 11 and our waiter/bartender«AP» welcomed us with a friendly smile. I had the Navajo taco«half order» which war plenty of food for one person. It was perfectly fried with delicious green chili on top. The Navajo burger was also cooked to perfection. Tip — We received a free draft beer with Unilocal check in. Overall we had a great experience with a 5 star waiter.

Don’t know how this place has 4.5 stars. If you are looking for a restaurant or sports bar, this is not it. Looking for a dive bar for a bottle of bud and game of pool give it a try.

We were in the Durango area vacationing for 8 days. There is a microbrewery in Cortez that we enjoy the brews and food. We took a friend to Cortez on 9÷2÷14 with the intention of having lunch there only to find they didn’t open until 3:30. A local happened to be there also not realizing they didn’t open until later. We asked her about a good place to get a burger and a beer. She highly recommended Blondies. Well, we can see why. Lucky for us it was within a block of where our intended lunch was to be but even more luckier that we were able to try a new place. The food was very, very good. More importantly, Nicole, our server, was very efficient, always there if and when we needed something, and was very pleasant and friendly. Kudos to her and the rest of the staff. We will be back next time we’re in the area.

The Navajo burger was to die for. The patty tasted so fresh. The green chile was delicious. Beer battered fries– awesome. Nicole was a great server as well. I will definitely be back next time I go through town.

They have a great Navajo taco! Desmond makes awesome green chili! They have Stella Cidre on tap which is very hard to find and is one of my favorite drinks! They also have a wide variety of bottled beers… and as someone who lives in Durango I love that I can find things here that I would never see at any of the bars there!

Great small town bar with outdoorsman/hunter atmosphere. Service was super. My 4/H burger was a ½ lb hand formed cert. Angus patty cooked juicy, a kielbasa sausage and sauerkraut, a tangy german mustard, thick sharp cheddar and all the fixings on a large, soft bun, grilled in butter. Hard to eat but I managed. Came with a choice of sides on a large square plate. My wife ordered the chicken cobb salad. and sweet potato fries. Interesting large irregular bowl with wonderful presentation and taste. She could not finish it. My side salad was beautiful with very fresh cucumber, onion, chopped tomato, carrots with baby kale. Oh my, a treat. Again the presentation was excellent. You will enjoy the atmosphere and don’t let the outward appearance fool you. The food is worthy of at least four stars. With candles, linen and waiters in ties, the food would be worth 50% more. My only wish is that I could come back for some of the specials. Tonight was all you can eat prime rib, potato, vegetable, bread, 15.99. I witnessed the plating. Good looking meat and cowboys were putting it away. Don’t miss this place. Down town, on a corner with a dirt lot next door for parking.

Blondies is definitely under new management — and not for the better. The food is mediocre at best — far from as good as it used to be. The draft beer selection is practically nonexistent. And the service is slow. I used to live in Cortez and this was a great place to grab a burger, a beer(even at 10AM) and there was good entertainment. On a trip back to Cortez this week, I took a party of 3 by at 12:30 on a week day. 3 people sat at the bar(2 of which were good friends of the one waitress working, evident in the length of time she spent giggling with them) and there was one other table of 2 there. We got checked on once. It took a LONG time to get our food. Nope, I didn’t time it since the old Blondies was on it and quick. I’m sad to say this isn’t the Blondies of old and no one in my party or our family members will be going back.

The website makes this place look like a rocking good, crazy biker bar, and that is the kind of action I’d hoped for on my birthday, but no dice. No gorgeous men nor hot babes. Kind of sedate. I could have brought a book and just sat by the window, spending the afternoon reading. Granted, I was there in the late afternoon, but still, it was rather dead for a weekend. I also like to collect cool saloon t-shirts, but I was disappointed in their sort of «truck stop» style of saloon t’s – don’t bother. Still, this place has a local feel. I got the idea it was the go-to place for locals regarding poker runs, good burgers, which is why I did my research and singled it out. My friend had a salad, fairly gourmet for pub-grub with fresh ingredients, large and good dressing, and I had a wicked sandwich served on pretzel bread, which I would recommend as it tasted homemade. The beer was cold and affordable, and we were just grateful it was so cold since we’d been camping for four days and it was hot. You won’t get any yuppie micro beer here, nor a lovely wine list. But that’s not why you’d come here. You’d come here to find out what Cortez’s, local color feels like, what makes the town a town. I had to giggle as there was a «head shop» across the street from this place, so there’s definitely a 1970’s vibe at work here. As the town goes, it’s sort of boring here, working class, but not that eccentric like Leadville. We were here because of its proximity to Mesa Verde National Park. We wanted local color, not a tourist trap, and that’s exactly what you get at Blondie’s.
