The Village at Corte Madera

Lots of great stores here, but that’s where the positivity ends. Just about any store we went into, my husband and I were treated like we were garbage. No one ever greeted us, only followed us around In the stores as if we were trying to steal. Very rude associates in most stores and a very rude sales person at the Tesla sales area. Maybe the employees at the stores here can try to remember their customers aren’t «peasants» and treat them like they’re here to spend money.

I love shopping here because they have a lulu lemon and an ivviva store where I live to go shopping for more dance clothes!

Every time I go to Corte Madera, I always make a stop here to take a break from driving 2 exhausting hours from Sacramento. I love shopping here, it’s tiny but the stores are pretty amazing. Besides the Nordstrom store (which you can’t miss because it stands out the most for being the tallest store in the shopping center), you have Free People and their sister store Anthropologie, the Microsoft store, Starbucks, Macy’s, Restoration Hardware Furniture store and their baby store, Madewell, and more. There is also a delicious hot dog stand too. Their hotdogs cost about $ 5 and the dog is standard size, but is super delicious.
I notice lots of people bring their dogs here to go shopping and take walks, and being a dog lover, I love seeing all of these furry friends strolling by with their owners by their side. So super cute!
Parking-​wise, the lot circles around the entire shopping center and quite large, so there shouldn’t be too hard to find a parking lot here. I always manage to find a spot near Nordstrom so I’m all good. I can just waltz on over to my favorite department store and other neighboring stores to shop, browse and take a break.
Another thing I love about this mall, is that it’s conveniently located near 2 beaches: San Quentin and Muir beaches. The former being the closest. I always like to visit either beach just to relax a little more after a fun day of shopping.
I wish I could live in Corte Madera so I can visit this shopping center more often. I’m so tired of the boring shopping centers in Sacramento, one is mostly empty (Palladio) and another on the brink of death (Folsom outlet), and the last one having stores that don’t interest me and is always overcrowded (The Fountains in Roseville).

Couldn’t believe the male cashier when I asked him to wipe the table when it needed it. He wiped a small area on my side of the long table and he left the plastic lid and bread crumbs on the rest of the table. Why he couldn’t clean the rest of table was just lazy on his part…

How could a mall management company employ such a horrible Santa Photo Service. We just waited 2 hours to get a pic with Santa and by the time it was our turn my 4 year old lost it and we had to leave. It was really the worst Santa experience every. I blame the photo service which is #
but also the mall management company because they hire and rented their location to this company to do their Santa pics. Its really really bad. Do not go here to see Santa. There was one person to staff this service and the line was horrible. It was really the worst day. My kid is still crying one hour later.

I love the fact that this is an outdoor mall so you don’t have to miss a beautiful day if you need to get some shopping done. There are great places to sit outside. They have a great selection of stores and I can always get what I need here. Across the highway at the Town Center there is a Blue Barn– great place for lunch!

Very high class mall. If you got the money, come here. Very clean and landscape is beautiful too.

The Village recently got a much-​needed face-​lift. And I’m pleased to report that the shopping center looks younger + more vibrant than ever!
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a mall. And a mall’s a mall (you’ve got your Gap, Banana Republic, Macy’s, Starbucks, Cheesecake Factory, etc.). But the new landscaping has certainly improved the look and feel of the place. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, vendors, and even a children’s playground. Folks have now have a wide variety of shopping options, everything from the recently refurbished Nordstrom’s to Lululemon to the Apple Store and the Tesla showroom. Needless to say, the Village clearly caters to its Marin clientele.
Parking is still plentiful. Food options are more abundant than ever (Boca Pizzeria, Boudin’s, Stang’s Hot Dogs & Sausages, Peet’s Coffee, etc.). All in all, the Village has solidified itself as a premier shopping destination. It’s definitely well worth a visit the next time you’re in Marin.

Decided to stop here to look around before heading up to Sonoma. The design of the open space mall reminds me a lot of La Jolla UTC Westfield. Spacious with quite a few different options to shop from. Kiddies area for your munchkins.

As a Marinite, this has been the go to place for major shopping in a pleasant outdoor environment. Recently however, the mall has hosted very aggressive skin care vendors in both a couple of shops and kiosks. While you walk by they harass you, shove samples in your face and attempt to lure you into demonstrations of their overpriced products. This has made the experience more like surviving a marketplace in the Middle East. I may still sneak into one of my favorite shops from time to time but I will do my best to avoid strolling around.

A village truly run by idiots. At a time when you want to encourage customers to come in and spend they section off a large part of the parking for valet at $ 8 a shot. BS. So many locals told me they tried to find parking and couldn’t but wouldn’t pay $ 8 for a valet at the mall

Worst Mall management, instead of letting people enjoy the holidays and shop they would rather bother people for Parking or make it hard to Park by blocking off entire area for valet that was 100% empty. None of the Mall Security employees ever look happy and they are always texting and driving when you see them in their little Ford SUV.

I have been here a few times over the past few years. It has big department stores at each end of the village and many other smaller shops in the middle.
Macy’s and Nordstrom are the two big ones and there is an Apple Store, Microsoft store and Tesla showroom. There are tons of designer shops and a few home decorating /​furniture shops.
It’s a relatively expensive mall and really good bargains are few and far between. I have never seen it jam packed and it’s easy to get around.

North of SF this is the last stop for Nordstroms until Portland. Lots of other name brand upper crust corp stores also. Come to the Tesla auto showroom for a look.

I really don’t like this mall. I felt so uncomfortable and out of place here. I used to really like it but this time around I felt people staring me up and down. No one said hi to me or goodbye to me but they did to other customers. At one point in my life I almost moved to mill valley. What a mistake that would’ve been. So yeah, I will stick to SF and shopping at the outlets.

This is a very pleasant place to shop. It’s outdoors so you don’t feel like you’re enclosed, it’s more of a pleasant stroll. There is a unique mix of shops, many that I’ve only seen at this mall. They allow pets which is nice. There’s always a collection of handsome dogs strolling around looking for adoring pets.
There is a good selection of food places including Cheesecake Factory and Boudin.

This is definitely a great-​looking mall! The stores are kept up nicely and the staff was friendly enough. The selection of stores is pretty limited, but it covers most of the standards.
However, like a few reviews noted, there is some serious shade being thrown by other shoppers! My goodness, it was like they had never seen a brown girl or a gay dude before!

Great outdoor mall!!! Can’t wait when all the Xmas lights turn on for this mall!!! Beautiful sight!!!

This is one of those malls where people will look you up and down and judge to see whether you’re one of their own. All of the shops are more on the upscale side including Nordstroms, BR, etc.
This is an outdoor mall so it’s not easy to trek around when the weather is cold. I found that the service across the stores is friendly but doesn’t seem genuine.

Come for the attitude.
Stay for the yuppies.
Unless you’re loaded (and look it), stay away.
