I had surgery about 2 months ago and everyone in corte madera treated me great. My counselor explained everything to her best knowledge and I will never regret doing the surgery.
I like the fact that I don’t have to wait no more than 10 min for my follow up appointments and I like the fact that they open Saturdays because that’s the only day I could have come in.
I recommend everyone to come to Ellis Eye!

Great, I did my surgery on December 2014 we are now in June 2015 and I can see clearly. Although it was a process because it did hurt a little once the anesthesia wore off but they give you medication unfortunate for me my pharmacy didn’t have it when my mom when to look for it. They had to get it from somewhere else. Which I had to bear the burning sensation for a couple of hours. But once I had my medication it was smooth. No pain during the surgery either. You berly even feel it. And it only takes 15 minutes. The filling papers and dealing with payment and checks probably around 2 – 3 hours. I recovered my full vision little by little. Around March I was seeing very clear, the first couple of weeks were blurry. Even to look at computer was blurry. I’d say if you’re vision is to the point where you can’t see anything away from you without you’re glasses go for it. It is very worth it, to be able to see the world clear again!

Overall a pretty disappointing experience. Went in to see if I was a candidate for Lasik. Was told that I had to leave my contacts out for 24 hours prior to my consultation at the day of. Doctor went through with the rest of the consultation anyway, which was good. However, I felt like I was being rushed through the examination. Once done, I sat down and spoke with a consultant who stated to me that additional testing would be required and that I had to drive out to the East Bay to do it. I mentioned that I did not have a pair of glasses and that I would have to get a pair prior to the second part of the evaluation. Consultant stated to me that she would find out from the doctor if he could send in my prescription to Costco to have glasses cut and that she would call me the next day. It’s been over a week and not a single follow up call. I don’t like writing negative reviews, but I feel that this experience warranted it… Especially considering the fact that they’re dealing with your eyes.

I finally bit the bullet and decided to have my vision corrected by LASIK. When I started researching, the only name that consistently came up was Dr. Ellis. When a coworker had the LASIK done by Dr. Ellis, I decided it was time. So I made an appt. for an evaluation. Found out I was a good candidate and scheduled the surgery for the following week… It was the best decision of my life. After 30 years of wearing glasses and contacts, I’m finally free of them! I can see clearly and I’m loving it! Not only that, but the whole experience was terrific. I just had my 2 month check up and I’m stable. So now I don’t have to go back for another 4 months! Everyone at Ellis Eye has been amazing. So wonderful and caring. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ellis for anyone considering this surgery…
