Best ribs I have ever had! Name has been changed to” Big Man Lil Mama BBQ”. Well worth the little side trip off the freeway. Great people and quick service.

New owner, big man little mama, food is amazing!!! Really nice people. They gave us a whole piece of rib just to try. We ordered a sandwich, $ 6 and it’s enough for two people, and they even gave us chips for free. Definitely will come back!

Yes! I Know! Please Stop Yelling at Me! I am totally aware of the trade embargo we have on Corsicana until they build a bridge or loop around this armpit. But I’m hungry. And I want to try something new. And It’s lunch time. And it’s BBQ. A few notes: Recently changed names from Clyde’s to Big Man and Lil Mama and CASHONLY. Building: Very divey. It’s old so it looks grungy with the flickering fluorescent strip lights and all, but close inspection and no signs of overt yuckiness. Inside sits about 14. Plenty of parking but the lot is junk and half paved. No big deal. Normal of any pit BBQ, you will smell smokey when you leave Staff and service: only met the lady taking orders. She was short on words and particularly short on annunciation so staying neutral on this. Took 10 minutes to get the order, more than the average time for BBQ service. Drinks: ice tea with a charge for refills. Bottled drinks otherwise. Food: gotta sample the ribs and brisket. Comes with potato salad and beans for sides. Sliced brisket, incredibly tender, like how did they do this? tender. Not a deep smoke ring if you’re into that and also not a lot of bark or candy if you’re into that. I like it though. Ribs are about normal. Good consistency. Not too tender, so they don’t disintegrate when you pick em up, but soft enough so you’re not gnawing like a wild animal. Sauce comes out steaming hot. It seems pretty typical. Mild in heat. A little tangy. Sides are as expected. Beans are ranch style. Potato salad is mustard based with a slight sweetening ingredient I can’t identify. Overall it’s a comfortable, satisfying, spot with a genuine feel. It’s the best I’ve found in the area if you’re on i45 looking to score some BBQ or passing thru on 31 like I normally am.

Great customer service! This is a true local dive… while the décor is a little to be desired, the food and hospitality are top notch!
