Whataburger

OMG! Today they get five stars! They may lose some next time, but for today, just today — they got my order right! Perfect! Every customized detail was right! AND — it tasted amazing! And the fries were burning hot! This is the first time I can remember in at least a year that it was perfection! Tasted like the old days! I just had to immortalize it with as many exclamation points as possible! Give that cook a raise!

Close to my wife’s work, so we come here when we want a fairly quick burger. Like all Whataburgers, it’s not the greatest hamburger, but it’s better than some of the larger chains. We get our food in timely fashion, it’s USUALLY correct and we never really have a hard time finding a place to sit.
I can’t think of any Whataburger I would rate at 5 stars (I worked there in my teens) as long as they sweep around customers who are eating, don’t maintain their fountains as well as they should (watery drinks at times) or have someone coming around «how ya’ll doin’?» when we’re in the middle of consuming our meal.
THIS particular Whataburger sits a couple blocks away from Ray HS and during school days, gets a good number of red-​shirted groups coming in and acting like children. A plague of any hamburger joint close to high schools. WB can’t really help that. CCISD should,…but that’s not relevant to this review.
What gets this WB from getting 4 stars is the counter help. We never know if we’ll get what we ordered and there is actually one lady who works there, we no longer will go to at the register. She just consistently gets the order wrong. When were were there yesterday, fortunately, she wasn’t taking orders. That raised our confidence level slightly. But we don’t expect the best at places like this, so we’re not so disappointed.
