Service was awful. Called in an order at 1:12pm and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Showed up 13 minutes later and order wasn’t ready. Watched front of house physically walk my order back to the kitchen. Waited another 20 minutes for order to be cooked and given to me. Wasted my entire lunch hour. Won’t be returning.

One hour waiting at a table and even after chasing down the wait staff 3 times and still haven’t been able to order. Came during the day and service was still slow but the Greek food was good. Looks like you can’t expect anything in the evenings.

The Grub Pub falls somewhere between the 2.5 and 3 stars because it did its job in a moment of need without any bells and whistles.
What does that mean? Well, it was New Year’s Day and, being a holiday, everything in the downtown CC area was pretty much shut down for the evening. Obviously this was bad news for me since I arrived to my hotel from Houston needing food before resting for the night. Fortunately I found this place open a short walk from the hotel.
Even though pub food was not necessarily my preference the night before running a race, I made due with a a burger, fries and one of their local beers on tap, which were all okay. The service from the two bartenders was slower than it needed to be with very few patrons, so it seemed like it took awhile to place an order and then finally get cashed out and on my way back to the hotel.

What a disappointment. I really liked this place when it first opened. I felt the food was really good for a downtown restaurant.
But the last time I went, it was dead except for the daytime drunks that are regulars. It took 45 minutes and I still didn’t have my salad with steak. I had to go back to work so she just tossed me the food with no silverware. It was slathered in really gross olive oil dressing and the lettuce was disgusting and old.
So upset with the downturn.

Decent place for lunch but not a designated greek food restaurant as most of the menu items are pub food. That being said the Greek food we had was nice. Service was good. The other patrons were a bite on the idiotic side, FYI. Lots of slamming shots at noon weekday. Sad.

This is actually the Grub Pub, and I’d heard the food was good. Any new restaurant in Corpus is welcome, so I decided to stop in for a quick meal of a Greek salad and onion rings. The onion rings are key-​like fettuccine Alfredo, they’re any easy thing to offer, but a hard thing to get right. They were horrible. Doughy, heavy, thick. I finished a couple and that was it. The Greek salad was good, though-​crisp greens, good olives, lots of Feta.
The servers were pleasant and helpful, the venue itself a classic little bar with a pool table and lots of Tvs playing sports. I won’t return to eat, but I might go back to have a drink or two with friends. Occasionally.
