Island Day Spa

Still remains my #1 spa choice in town! Love their atmosphere and never had a bad service here. *I can’t speak for cosmetics… only done facials and massage*
If you are skeptical, look for a groupon or a deal on their Facebook. They run them frequently and it is a great way to try (and get hooked!) on this place for a lower cost :)

I found a groupon for a facial for this place and decided to try it out. I paid 42 $ on groupon for the Island facial package. The place is very clean and lights are all dimmed to set a very relaxing atmosphere. I filled out a little paper about my skin, the offered me a drink, water or wine, and I was shown to my room. The rooms look like little tiki huts. They have a few candles for very soft lighting. My facial included a shoulder and neck massage, hand, and foot massage. The table they had me lay on was super comfortable. A nice steam thing pointed at my face until the facial started. The facial was amazing! The massage was amazing! The whole process took about an hour but there is a smaller package that takes 30 mins, if you don’t have a lot of time. They do sell Aveda products and will suggest some stuff for you to use on your skin but the girl who did my facial was not pushy at all! She was just like this is what I suggest to help keep your skin in good condition, if you want it. And that was kind of the end of that. MONIQUE is who did my facial and took care of me. Ask for her. She is very kind. I will defiantly be going back to see her again :)

This was a groupon that my friend and I purchased for the 90 minute mani/​pedi treatment deal. Well first the positives. the whole staff there was EXTREMELY nice to me and my friend and they gave us wine and did everything that was listed under what the mani/​pedi was supposed to include… but the bad part? the massage guy hurt me! I would say OW! and he would keep going… the manicure and pedicure were crap, like maybe my dog could have done a better job :-(and the last bit? well as soon as the lady finished painting my nails, she grabbed her shit and ran out like a bat outta hell! so apparently she was in a rush to get somewhere which probably made my manicure look crappier than normal… oh well.

I sent my mom here last week for pampering. This past year has been a tough one for her as she has been in and out of homeless shelters and is a recovering drug addict. I was so proud of her for getting herself clean and back on her feet. She still has her struggles but I am proud to say she is drug free!
After the appointment she called to tell me how well Wendy did with her mani/​pedi. She said Angela was excellent in working on her carpel tunnel in her arms. Then how gracious Justin was for driving her to the bus stop so she didn’t have to walk after all that relaxing.
