So let us set the record straight Jacob O. I was there when this happened. You walk in and Both employees look up and one says«Welcome to Gamers Den how can I help you.» You say«I am just looking» to which the same employee replays«Let me know if you need anything» You walk around and then never say anything when you need something. Great job Jacob TROLL Ohlde. Truth of the Den is find out for yourself. It is moderately clean, foul goes to restroom but with so many males that go there… go figure why… Great selection of current single Magic cards in all of South Texas. Great selection of boardgames, Warhammer, CCG, and accessories… Tons of room to play and play area is clean. Jacob just got his pantyhose knot because he finally realized he is not the center of the universe. Check out facebook page Corpus Christi Magic Players for more details about this stupid rant.

Definitely a good gaming store. Plenty of tables to play card games on, or to paint on. There are three wargaming tables of differing terrain which provide a good variety of battlefields. The shop portion itself caters mostly to magic and yugioh. The wargaming section is fairly small although all of the essentials are there. Paint supplies and models, mostly warhammer 40k and warhammer fantasy can be found here. There are a few display cases, most of them holding cards. There seems to be an in-house painter for models, but seemed to be MIA when I asked about him. The wargaming community is smaller than most that I’ve seen here. I’m mostly a painter than a gamer, so I take interest in every war game with models. Warhammer 40k is definitely the major war game here. Warmachine is almost unheard of. Their shelf section is virtually nonexistent. There seems to be a small amount of warhammer fantasy players here though. Also, there is a tourney for warhammer 40k every third Saturday here. There are some rooms for pathfinder and tabletop RPGs, but it’s definitely not as large as the card gaming player base. Like other reviews have mentioned the bathroom is tiny and dinky. Hope you’re not claustrophobic! Overall, a game store that has everything you might need for gaming. Snacks and drinks can be bought inside, no outside food allowed except restaurant food says their sign. Their hours are not set in stone since they open a little early sometimes.

Good: I am an out-of-towner to Corpus Christi. Thanks to a review here on Unilocal,I visited the store after their posted hours and they were indeed still open. I had some MTG cards I needed and couldn’t find in various cities I had traveled through, but Gamers Den had them. Their MTG selection is well-organized and the guy working the counter that particular evening was very friendly. Bad: The bathroom was poorly maintained.

I have a weekly RPG here, and the owner and staff are really friendly and helpful. Instead of ordering dice, cards, whatever online, go here and help a local Game business out

Any store that charges players to play Magic the Gathering casually with their friends on a Friday night needs to revisit their decision to become a card shop owner.

If you play Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Yu-gi-oh, or War-hammer this is the place to be. The store is open at 2pm but doesn’t start filling in til about 5pm. It has a large selection to purchase from and an entire section devoted to playing. Having 10 tables that seat 7 players and 5 tabletops for war-hammer its a great place to play and hang out with friends and game. In addition it has 4 huge TVs to either watch TV or play video games(BYO), it also has a few quiet rooms in the back for D&D players and 5 computers for public use. The store also offers wifi for $ 5 a day for those who want to bring their own computers. With all these things to do most spend several hours here, so the store has a snack and drink machine or if that’s not substantial enough there is fast food just next door or across the street. And though the store sign says it closes at 9pm, if there are enough people here the store stays open til later. The staff is really friendly and over all it is a really good place to be if you like to game so come check it out for yourself.
