David’s Bridal

I went in today to try on dresses and had the privilege of working with Alyssa! I think there was some sort of scheduling conflict with 2 appointments scheduled at the same time, but she made it work in such a way that I wouldn’t have noticed she was working with two of us had we not walked in within minutes of each other. Alyssa was extremely fun to work with, listened to what I wanted and provided very valuable input. I would recommend working with her to anyone!

Horrible experience. Did not even measure me for my brides maid dress. Wrong sizes were ordered. Names were taken off the list. No supervisors around to handle all the mess. No professionalism whatsoever.

Beatrice was wonderful helped find dresses that I loved. We went through probably 7 and she was so patient, and we found my dress :)

I just got my dress here last weekend. I couldn’t say enough nice things about my experience. Olivia was amazingly awesome! So was all the staff. It was a really great feeling when a staff member I wasn’t even working with would stop what they were doing and make an encouraging comment.
I am not one of those girls that carefully planned her dress day whatsoever. And I am even less of a fashionista. I am one of those girls that constantly needs help figuring out what will look good. When I got there I couldn’t pull up any of the dresses I saved and I started to panic. I think Olivia could sense that and she was so sweet. She asked what kind of dresses I liked. I told her I liked lace but my sister thinks I would look better in something with ruching. Lace with ruching was not something I found a lot of online. She found me a bunch of dresses, many of the ones I did pick online and she couldn’t even see them. But all of the ones I picked online were so not me and didn’t fit well. The ones that did were the ones she picked out. I think I only tried about 5 – 6 on before I found the one. When I did, she was really good at helping me see that this was the winner without pushing it on me. You get a little tired of trying on dresses, and its so hot, so I didn’t want to rush into it. But she just quietly and calmly said «this is the only one that made your mom cry.» Ha. I liked her a lot. My experience was awesome. The dresses here are much cheaper than elsewhere and I thought the service could not be better. Also, I showed up with all three of my sisters, my mom, and my two nieces. They didn’t seem annoyed or overwhelmed by everyone making suggestions and giving her tasks…“can we try it with this sash, can you switch to this veil, put a clip here, etc”. My family can be blunt. Olivia was a trooper and if she was annoyed no one would guess it. Also, I was offered water and she stopped to make sure I was ok when I got dizzy (again, you get really hot!). So I did not have the same experience as the other reviewer. Olivia was perfect.
That being said, do not expect all the attention you want when you don’t set up an appointment, because there were at least two other brides there at the same time as me. If you want someone to be prepared and help you with whatever you need, take the time to set up an appointment. Even if you aren’t ready to buy and are just looking. After seeing how busy (but super attentive and awesome) they were, I think its important to stress that it is kind of rude to just show up and expect the red carpet to be thrown out. Just saying.
The only negative thing I have to say is that the David’s Bridal app and website is pretty crummy. When your customers are buying anything over a grand, you should have a functioning website that is easy to use and works when you need it to (this is why I couldn’t pull up my dresses the day of). But, that is a company issue and beyond the control of the girls that work in the corpus store. It really was a great experience. I wasn’t stressed at all. Thank you guys so much!

The girls here are all so helpful! They accommodated our group of 9 plus a toddler very well. Took their time with the bride, picked out quite a few dresses for her to try on. The consultant was really cheerful and conversed with everyone nicely. One complaint was the bathroom. The inside of the store is clean and set up well. Then you go to the bathroom and it didn’t smell very good, the trash can was dirty and there was toilet paper on the floor. I would just expect for a bridal store and the only large one in this town for it to be girly, with flowers and pictures on the wall. Maybe put a plug in or something? Just a suggestion. Also, they didn’t offer any complimentary water or any type of drink. You would think people are spending a couple of thousand dollars here, maybe spring for the mini waters? Again, just a suggestion. All in all it was a nice experience for the bride and her friends.

I walked in today at 1:30 and nobody was in the store, not even an employee. I waited around about 5 min. and started to look for an employee as I had an appointment and limited time. Finally a girl appeared at the front desk and was not very welcoming. Then they assigned me a bridal consultant who also was not very cheerful and seemed annoyed to have to work at all. I had a list of about 20 dresses, 3 of which were actually in the store. Then she gave me one dress and didn’t even offer to help put it on. I did it myself. She came back with another one that was a size 16 so I tried it on figuring she had clamps to tighten it. NOPE. I asked her and she said «no i can hold it for you though» what kind of place is this? Every bridal salon even david’s bridal has clamps for the dresses. I have been to 2 other david’s bridals that were much better and completely prepared for bridal appointments and were actually friendly. Considering I was the only customer, I should have had complete attention and they should have been vying for me to buy something. Instead I was just over it after the 3^rd dress that they managed to have in stock. Horrible customer service, horrible atmosphere, horrible store. DO NOT waste any time here.
