Kelly Peter, MD

Dr. Peter Kelly is by far the finest doctor I have ever had the good fortune of having as my doctor. He is what all doctors should aspire to be. He has been my doctor for 3 years and I am so thankful. Karen the nurse who runs the office is also an amazing person. Thank you Dr. Kelly and Karen for taking such good care of me and my family.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Peter Kelly for about ten years. We have spent higher insurance premiums just to see him. He is a wonderful person and M.D. We worry that he will actually retire one day. and oh, did I mention that most of our neighbors see him as well? That speaks volumes about Dr. Kelly.

Since we moved to Coronado, I’ve been looking for a good doctor that I feel comfortable around and whose staff are personable. I tried one doctor whose nurse made me feel guilty for being there, something I definitely do not need when I’m already not feeling well. I was despairing of having to try another doctor when I already wasn’t feeling well when I decided to see Dr. Kelly.
He’s an older man, but there’s nothing old-​fashioned about his approach to medicine. He takes your concerns seriously and listens when you tell him what’s wrong. I’ve had some GI problems, and have done all the tests with no results – he’s the only doctor who didn’t want to make me go through the hell of those tests again. Instead, he recommended a doctor who takes an alternative, homeopathic view, since nothing else had worked for me. He also was very professional and considerate when I asked him about a slightly embarassing, personal matter, something that I really appreciated as it put me at ease. I felt perfectly comfortable around him and am so happy to have a general physician I can see again. He and his office staff were great when I mentioned that I needed an existing prescription rewritten and sent into medco, but had forgotten the paperwork. I dropped it by later that afternoon, and he sent it in the next day!
