I hate this place my fiancé came here to do her hair. She came back crying because they cut her hair where they weren’t suppose to. Lady was in rush to do her hair and messed it up more. It will take a year for her to recover her hair. Stay away if they are busy they don’t care.

Great place for short hair or long hair but Eva the owner always does a terrific job. Special occasions are their best hairstyles. All the other stylists are good too

If I were writing this review a few years back I would have definitely given this place 5 stars. I had been a loyal customer for many years. I loved this place so much so, that I had them do my hair on my wedding day. Cut to about 7 years later, things were so different I had no other choice but to cut my ties. I would always schedule my appointments with Eva(the owner). The first time I did my hair with someone else, Eva explained to me that she was overbooked and asked if it would be ok having someone else cut and style me. I completely understood because, in all fairness, it was packed that day and all I wanted was a simple trim and blow-dry. I thought this was a one time occurrence; however, after that instance every time I went to the salon, there was always some excuse and I was passed on to one of the other girls. Eventually I was passed on to a new girl. When I communicated to her that I didn’t like to be passed on to another person in that manner, she told me that I had«good hair» that anyone could do, and she had other clients. Although the other stylists style well enough, each has their own particular way of doing it and are set in their ways so going to them you would get their interpretation of your request which would end up being a semi-hit(not really what you asked for but still pretty) at best. Also, I noticed that after a few years the atmosphere at the salon became hostile and catty amongst the employees. Eva and the other stylists would audibly complain about one another or would gossip about one another in front of the clients. The general cleanliness of the salon(or lack thereof) compounded an already uncomfortable situation and made the overall experience undesirable to say the least. Why did I put up with it for as long as I did? They used to blow dry and style the hair themselves and even the worst cut was above average. However, things changed in recent years. Now most of the work is done by the rollers, the stationary salon dryer and flat-iron. My «good hair» was zapped by the time I was done because they would leave me under the dryer for an hour and a half or two hours and then would want to blow dry and/or flat-iron my hair to death. Add onto that the initial wait time of 1 to 1 ½ hours for the stylist to be ready for me(on a good day) and you are looking at 3 – 4 hours, at best, in a hair salon. If you want a modern cut, this is not the place for you. During my last year of going to them, no matter what I would tell them they always cut my hair in the same layers or styled my bangs in the same way. There is clearly no effort to keep up with the latest trends in hair. In less than 4 years, the price for this subpar and lackluster cut and style went from $ 30 to $ 45/$ 50. Pricey for a dated cut and style for medium/short«good hair» wouldn’t you say? The only compliment I can give is that they do great color. My suggestion, if you are looking for great color(albeit overpriced), this is your place, go elsewhere if you want a style that looks like its from this decade done by a professional staff in a timely manner. I found a new stylist who charges me less than half, thinks all hair is good, is great, innovative, professional and considerate of my time. My only regret was not leaving sooner.

Love this place. The only thing is the wait sometimes like any other dominican hair salon. They are very professional. I personally love Fior she’s amazing and made the best anchoitas ever.
