Went in for a haircut and Dao did an amazing job! She is very friendly. She makes sure you are completely satisfied with your hair before you leave!

This review is long overdue. My hair is a very complicated curly. I’ve always struggled with finding someone who can handle it without ruining it. Even the cut that I got is tricky because of the thickness and curl. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Dao was super professional, made the whole experience very comfortable. I came in *obviously* a little nervous because it was my first time with her, and she made me feel confident, I explained what I wanted even though I didn’t even know what I wanted my self, so we took the safe rout and started out a little longer and went from there. She was super patient which I highly appreciate since like I mentioned I wasn’t even sure of what I wanted. Anyhow, very happy with my cut, the service, Dao and the experience as a whole. Definitely coming back.

Dao gave me the best hair cut I’ve ever had! Her advice on how to take care of my hair, as well as when to make a follow-​up appointment, was very, very helpful. Dao also knew exactly which products to recommend for my hair type. Dao is extremely personable and very easy to talk to. I’ve already sent someone else her way, and I will continue to promote her services!

I went to see Dao for a balayage ombré-​style hair coloring. She was very flexible and sweet. I love how precise and detailed she was in coloring my hair. It came out beautiful; I’m definitely going back!

Dao did a very good job at giving me what I had in mind after i got home i realized the color was not for me she took me in the next morning and fixed it with no charge and Dao offered me a free hair mask whenever You will receive an email from another potential job for me with a link to fill out my reference please be mindful and try not to delete it accidentally. This was my fist time seeing Dao. She dyed my hair and gave me a haircut today. I’ve been trying to go back to one solid color and grow my hair out again. She gave me a nice chocolate brown and trimmed as little as possible (which was perfect). She definitely exceeded my expectations! Very easy to talk to and her little salon is very clean and comfortable. The one thing I liked is after she blow dried my hair and realized my bangs were a little bulky on one side, she went back and fixed them. I know it’s not much, but she noticed without me even saying it first. I like the extra step she took. Thank you, Dao!

Dao is so nice, professional and clean. She did my gel mani and even surprised me with a design. She took her time and I loved what a perfectionist she was. Can’t wait for my next appointment.

I came into the salon completely confused & lost. Luckily Dao just happened to be taking a phone call by her office and offered me a haircut, even though it was her day off! I have had long black hair all my life and knew I wanted a drastic change. She guided me through what colors would look best on me and cut my hair exactly how I asked for. The whole appointment took 3 hours in total but the time flew by. She really takes the time to know you and personally connect to you. I love my new haircut!

I recently came here not knowing exactly what I wanted my hair to look like, but Dao was so patient and helpful. She showed me different options and also suggested different styles for my hair. The entire time she was not pushy at all. I finally decided on a lighter shade of brown with multiple layers because I like simple. She took good care of me and managed to stay within my budget. She also showed me how to do different things with my hair i never tried before. She was very engaged with the process and always made sure I approved of everything. Overall great experience and great customer service!
Best thing was I was outta there in less than 2 hours! Not to mention her salon was clean and she offers snacks and drinks. That’s a plus! I’d def recommend coming to Dao’s!

Dao is amazing! I came in not knowing what I wanted, she was very patient at guiding me through and was not pushy. My hair was a mess and she took charge to make it perfect in the end. I’ve been to amazing hair salons in Hong Kong and LA, I can honestly say she’s one of the best hair dressers I’ve had in my life.

I typically do not write reviews on Unilocal but I felt the services I received from My Hair and Nail Place was outstanding and deserving. I had the privalage of having Dao as my hair stylist, her talent and ability to transform my hair was beyond my expectations. This was actually my first, so I was tremendously nervous. However, she was able to make me feel comfortable and calm by nerves by answering all of my questions (I had a ton) and provided me with a great deal advice on my hair throughout my appointment. There was something about her personality that made me feel like I have known her forever.
Dao was able to work her magic to give me the perfect balayage (blonde/​med brown undertones) and a cut. This look can be extremely challenging with Asian hair but she was able to achieve it with her skills and special techniques. I can honestly admit, she has gained my trust over one visit. Since this was my first visit, she spent over 5 hours on my hair (included a color correction) to ensure that my hair was nothing but perfect before I left the salon. The salon was welcoming, exceptionally clean, organized, and filled with snacks and beverages. The intimate ambiance that the salon had was extremely one of its kind, since some salons are loud and distracting. The countless compliments I received on my hair have been amazing. I will be coming back to see her again for my upcoming touch ups. **** Picture to follow***

Dao is an incredible stylist. Before I was reccomend to Dao, the person who had cut my hair previously had destroyed it. She was razor happy and did the completely opposite of what I asked her. Luckily, Dao assured me that it can be fixed and sure enough she did and made my hair healthy and thick again.
I have stayed with her ever since and couldn’t be any happier. She cares about her clients and truly listens. You will not regret going to her.

Dao and Corrina are both talented women! I came to Dao and she spent 3 ½ hours with me to perfect my hair color on the ombré I wanted. She spent her time with me until I was satisfied with how it looked. Not only did Dao dye my hair but she also threw in a haircut. She fixed the mess that my other hair dresser screwed up on! Definitely coming back whenever my roots grow back in.
I’ve also come to Dao to get my hair done for a military ball! She made it look amazing and just how I wanted it. It lasted me all day and night, even the curls lasted until the next morning.
Corrina on the other hand, I see every 2 weeks to get my eye brows done. She’s given me the perfect arch without taking too much off. She’s so great I even take my brother there!
I also come to her to get my make up done. She’s done my make up for prom, my senior portraits, and a military ball. Everytime she transforms me to look flawless and amazing.
These two ladies are awesome you won’t be wasting your money I promise! :)

I’ve been coming to Dao for years!!! I absolutely love her work not to mention her personality. The shop is welcoming, CLEAN, and organized! I hate cutting my hair & Dao is the only person I trust to cut it, she’s the only one who hasn’t messed up my hair if anything she has helped me keep it healthy. I also get my gel manicures and pedicures with her. I love that my gel doesn’t peel off. I’ve gone a month with the same gel & it didn’t peel or lift.
(I was out of town and I refused to let anyone else do my nails so I rather have the same gel for a month)
I highly recommend this salon you will not be disappointed! It’s always stocked with high quality products. This salon has set very high standards & now that I’m in a different state I wonder if I’ll ever find anyone who will give me the same quality of service as well as products.

Corrina has done my brows multiple times and I have never been disappointed! She’s excellent at what she does and I would highly recommend all of her services!

Excellent service. I having been going to Dao for years now and love what she does to my hair. The products that she carries are awesome love the way it lives my hair smooth and smelling nice to. It’s a very relaxed environment she makes you feel your at home.

I’m extremely skeptical with who I let touch my hair. I have been dying my hair black for years, recently wanting to go lighter. I came to Dao and she managed to get my hair to a beautiful red. Seriously i was shocked how healthy my hair still feels even after stripping and bleaching it. She would not let me leave until I was happy, she kept asking me what I wanted if I liked it, I was super comfortable. I’ve been getting so many compliments on my hair, I will definitely keep her as my hair stylist! I generally always am unhappy with the outcome I have had in the past, it always gets messed up. I’m so happy I came here, definitely my money’s worth

Excellent service for me and my 3 year old! Listened to exactly how I wanted my hair cut and how I wanted my son’s hair to look. Put on the T.v. to make sure my son was distracted and was patient with him. Very relaxing environment and well priced! Definitely going back again. Thank you Dao!
