A little confirmation goes a long way in party planning.(Not a review of their food) I was going to hire Backwoods BBQ for a party at my house. I sent in the catering form, nothing was heard back. I called their office a week later to confirm the order to find out their e-mail system doesn’t work, yet I was able to place the order over the phone and was supposed to get a confirmation invoice. Never got the invoice. So I called again a few days before the party to be 100% certain they were going to cater it as I asked. I was told they would call me back later that day. No phone call. So in order to have food for the party I went to another local BBQ joint, Lucille’s. The Santa Ana restaurant was able to take my order, take payment and promise to be ready in the morning for my party. It isn’t much to ask for from a restaurant, is it?

I was the lucky girl who was chosen to head up our company picnic. After searching the internet for several caterers, I decided on Backwoods BBQ. Everything turned out great, the food was sooo good and there was plenty of leftovers. They definitely don’t skimp on the portions. We ordered for 150 people and could have easily fed 50 more people. They did all the barbecuing on site so everything was fresh and hot. I received many good comments from my co-workers, Backwoods was a great choice and within our budget. Ribs were to die for, so was the chicken breast(not dry, juicy good) and the mac and cheese(loved it)! We will be using them again in the future.

We had a BBQ Event for 85 people and it was a great hit. The food was enjoyed by all and the service was terrific. We would not hesitate to use Backwoods BBQ again. We had the BBQ Tri-tips & Chicken Thank you, Art B. ASI Corp

Excellent work guys! So many people commented at the party about the food and how great it was. The tri-tip was perfect and the chicken was so juicy. They also said you were both very nice and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Backwoods again in the future. Thanks again! Mike

I don’t think this place is open anymore. Too bad, I liked their BBQ. It would be nice if they reopened. Closest place for good BBQ is in OC!

They have no idea, I mean zero idea of what BBQ is supposed to be like. After a couple of bites I walked away from my plate. The meat was okay but it wasn’t real Q. I guess if I want Texas BBQ I’d have to fly to Texas and have Rudy’s, Stubbs or the Salt Lick. Backwoods is NOT the place for BBQ. They may want to switch to burgers. I’d try someone else for local Q.

Can’t believe this place is even still in business. They moved from Green River to McKinley and now to Main Str. Obviously the owner does not know how to run a successful restaurant. When the McKinley restaurant was open I personally saw him yell at his staff in front of customers, excessively drink, and he clearly did not take any customer recommendations in to consideration. Seeing how he has treated customers and his staff in the past, I definitely do not want to support his business by eating there.

This place had really good BBQ when they were located off of Green River. Now the food pretty much sucks. We were eager to try it out again when they moved. Boy, were we disappointed. The ribs were flavorless and had way too much fat on them. The chicken, well, forget about it… so much fat, I actually had to spit it out and rinse my mouth with water. Even the backed potato sucked… how can you mess up a baked potato??? Well, that’s because it was rotten. I will say the mac-n-cheese was really good, that’s why I gave it a 2 star. Never again will I be going back. BBQ Joe’s on the other side of the freeway, consider it Norco, so far, has really good BBQ. Sorry guys, but I thought with the old owners taking over, the food would be so much better.

A normal lunch spot for me but always friendly service and good food. I would recommend the tri tip sandwich or steak and cheese. As far as sides go, tri tip chili, buttered corn, or potato salad are the way to go.

I was surprised the my tri tip sandwich tasted so good. There was stacks upon stack of meat coming out of my french roll. I got some some extra sauce to slather over the sandwich which made it taste even better. The place is very misleading because it is a cross between chuck e cheese & a bar because of the sawdust on the floor, wooden seating and video games. No matter I enjoyed my sandwich and corn, I’ll be back. The price waas right too. Oh yeah, another thing I liked about the sandwich was when I finished it, my hands smelled like I was over a bbq grill. Hickory scent.

Address must be wrong. This is someone’s house in a residential neighborhood.
