My friend Mary took me here a couple of years ago while visiting CA. Great place to go. Definitely brightened my day.

This place is kind of overwhelming especially if you’re a n00b to gardening, flowers, and any type of flora/fauna. But it’s nice to come browse their selection and sometimes boggle at how expensive some of this stuff is. Pretty much people leave you to your own devices here which explains why certain customers bring their dogs and let them mark all over the flower pots on the ground.(Cross your fingers you’re not touching one of those when you pick something up!) On our latest trip, I bought a few cute little cacti to add to our front yard. It’s nice that they box up your purchases and also give you a roll of butcher paper to use out front. The back part of it is under construction right now so the place isn’t as picturesque as it normally is. However, I can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store.

Beautiful place to visit and get a short walk in. I bought couple tomato plants, and they grew very well and healthy! The price is about 20% more than Armstrong in a lot of the items, but the quality of their plants is unparalleled.

I love it here over the holidays just to walk and browse. They have Santa for the kids for photos and running Mini trains along with decorated trees. You can get great decorating ideas by looking at trees, wreaths etc. I also have bought soil, plants and seeds, not only today, but on multiple occasions. It is more expensive here than a lowes or similar so I don’t go here a lot. When I do, I have found knowledgable and helpful service from the people who work there. I found myself admiring an ornament today and it was $ 45 for one and I backed up quickly. Lol that’s a bit much for my tree, no humbug, I am more of a target ornament gal.

Sensory overload!!! Having driven by a bunch of times I just assumed this place was a nursery but one day in my yoga class people were talking about going to Roger’s Gardens to check out their Christmas stuff. Then a friend of mine said she’s been there at Christmas too, so we planned to go together. I was blown away! Around this time last year, my husband and I popped into Descanso Gardens for a stroll and I was beyond disappointed. We had to pay admission to walk around and since it was December nothing was in bloom. Roger’s Gardens obviously doesn’t charge admission, but at this rate, they should because I was amused and entertained at every turn! I totally understood why it’s become a holiday tradition for people to come here with their families. It was very inviting. There was a coffee cart for you to grab a warm beverage as you stroll around and a Santa Claus for kids to take photos with. The Santa was very friendly and sweet to all the kids he was interacting with. There is so much to see and look at here! I went in determined to buy an ornament to add to our collection and l left without one because I was overwhelmed and couldn’t pick one. I was telling a colleague about our foray into Roger’s Gardens and she suggested we visit during Halloween… I can only imagine all the pumpkin related goodness they’ll have going on.

This was a wonderful way to start the holiday. With the most brilliant Christmas lights and decorations I’d ever seen in one place, Roger’s Gardens was a delight for the senses. I’d only been here once before, many years ago. I didn’t remember how beautiful this place was! Every corner had another lovely Christmas tree and section full of decorations. Pretty cards, stationary, plates and napkins, wrapping paper, and gift bags. There were the most unique holiday gift items here. I also spotted some amazing home décor here as well. The store was full of blankets, candles, picture frames, vases, wall art, jewelry, and scarfs. There was a section of books on gardening and decorating. There was also an area devoted to gift items for men. My son and I also found the most beautiful holiday books for both children and adults. And we saw all of this before heading out to the nursery and patio areas. Although it was quite dark outside, I noticed the pretty poinsettias and succulents. In a section above the nursery, there were brightly lit Christmas trees. We noticed beautiful patio furniture and plants here too. I think we loved the Christmas train most of all! Roger’s Gardens was a fun start to the Christmas season! We look forward to seeing all the wonderfully decorated trees and home décor in the near future.

Are you kidding? If they were to develop this lot today it would be a shitty strip mall, or high dollar hideous condos. Thank the Lord this is thriving. Even if you are not in the business of buying gardening supplies, take a gander and buy something small to keep this place going. Just awesome grounds.

Came here to admire the Christmas decorations and the succulents. The Holiday House is a must-see because it is filled with beautiful decorations. There are different trees with their own unique style. They have a variety of ornaments to choose, but the price is kind of outrageous. I saw a Christmas ornament that cost $ 60. Besides the Holiday House, Roger’s Garden is mainly a nursery and they have a variety of succulents, fruit trees, and flowers. It’s really close to Fashion Island and the beach.

My wife and I are in the process of buying a garden nursery so we are exploring different garden nurseries to get some ideas. Roger’s is about as good as it gets. It is huge and beautifully layed out. Many walkways make strolling through the garden very enjoyable. They have the perfect climate zone and can grow anything. We saw plants we had never seen before. Huge selections of not only indoor /outdoor plants, but pots, gift items, holiday cheer… you name it, Roger’s has it.

Came to Rogers Garden with the wife. We looked around they had just about everything you could think of. Right now since it’s close to Halloween they had tons of pumpkins. Big ones, Small ones and Huge ones. I did notice that everything was way overpriced. It a nice place to look and walk around but I would never buy there. I can get the same type of plants for way cheaper. I guess because they are in Newport they have to charge a lot more. My wife was begging me to buy her some plants but i just couldn’t approve. I mean they were selling a small succulent basket for $ 300 bucks and i saw that some type at Home Depot for $ 50 which is till too much in my opinion. Their pumpkin were very expensive also. Your better off buying from the Grocery store. This place must be for people that don’t care about burning their money. Overall I like the place and it’s very nice and maintained but it’s just out of my price range. Thanks for reading. Matthew Y.

Is this place a nursery or a botanical garden? You could seriously make this a casual day-date spot. For newbies, go to the customer service booth if you don’t know where to start. Christian is super helpful and very knowledgable. I gave him some parameters(low maintenance, drought tolerant, pretty flowers) and he helped me to figure out my front yard softscaping — all in less than 1 hour!!! I really should have come here first instead of going around to half dozen other nurseries — none of which could help me as efficiently has Christian did. Also, this place carries the largest inventory of Monrovia plants. They have certain sizes and varieties Monrovia plants I can’t find anywhere else.

OK, this is not a bargain nursery. But if you want the most unusual, fanciest, gourmet, or sparkliest of whatever? Then this is probably the place to go! They are part nursery, part gift shop, part patio furniture store, part Holiday Décor. At Halloween(my favorite), they have elaborate displays of spooky decorations to freak out your neighbors. The Christmas Shop is the most famous, bringing in customers from all-over So Cal. Elaborate ornaments, trees, gifts, and even place settings make it the perfect place to get ready for the Holidays. The year-round Christopher Radko room is great for collectors, sometimes even having retired or limited availability styles for sale. They have an awesome selection of gourmet vegetables, herbs, and even fruits. They have workshops for customers on different topics, and an heirloom tomato festival. If you want an unusual or fancy plant, this would be a great place to find it. They also have planted containers ready, like the popular succulent garden. Fancy planters, garden tools, garden décor like birdbaths and statuary, and patio furniture round out the selection at Roger’s. This is a great place to spend hours, especially at the Holidays. But everyone else will have the same idea, so be prepared to wait for parking. They sometimes have a food truck in the parking lot on the weekends, so you don’t have to leave to have lunch!

Their sales associates are extremely knowledgeable. The nursery is a bit on the costly side; however, they almost always have what I’m looking for no matter how rare it is! I was looking for a flower that was in my wedding. I’ve made it a quest to find them all! The flower is called a chocolate cosmos. They knew just what I was looking for, & they had it in stock! They are beautiful! And YES they really do smell like chocolate! I buy all my roses from them too!

Love this nursery! Yes, I agree with some people that the prices are overpriced… but this place is beautiful! It is a huge spacious nursery with so many different segments of gardens and display rooms… it’s like walking around a green fantasyland! The displays and arrangements are amazingly beautiful and so organized. They have such a wide variety of plants(foliage plants, fruit trees, vegetables, herbs)…almost anything you want they have. I love that they host a variety of events for the public too.

Imagine a bunch of fancy, stylish men in touch with their feminine side taking over a huge Home Depot garden center, adding a 365-day Christmas area, a seasonal Tim Burton-esque Halloween area, the original Disneyland gazebo, and making it so charming that you’d want to go there just for a walk, and you’ve got what I lovingly refer to as Homo Depot.

Located outside the Fashion Island bubble is Roger’s Garden. It’s not just a nursery, but a seasonal shop full of things for the home and garden, and its absolutely gorgeous during the holiday season. In the main gallery at the store entrance, they have room after room full of decorated items for Christmas such as: — ornaments, — scents/diffusers/sprays, — potpourri, — candles, — soaps — dinnerware and tons of other holiday gifts, knick knacks and decorations. They also had pumpkins galore, and goolish items for the Halloween shoppers. While always beautiful, most of the items are pricey. But, it’s Roger’s Garden, and it’s in Corona del Mar/Newport Beach area, so you justify the splurge. I ended up getting a Christmas scented candle, holiday Pine scented wood chips, and refreshing pine oil, which came to roughly $ 80. Ouch, right? But, it smells heavenly, and I can’t wait to use it for the holidays!
