Best Bagels and Breakfast around! I live in Northern Virginia and I wish we had a Bagel place as delicious as this. The Jersey is my favorite breakfast sandwich(Fresh Lox, Cream Cheese, Capers, Onions, and Tomatoes). I suggest you stop in!

In full disclosure, I actually have not stepped in this placed so I’m reviewing strictly on the food. I’m also a «son of a bagel man» and from Jersey so I may be more critical of bagels than the average joe. I ordered a Pork roll, egg and cheese. The best part of the sandwich was the bagel. The bagel had a nice crisp outer texture and soft interior as any good bagel should have. The content of the sandwich itself was fine but it lacked quantity(two thinly sliced Pork rolls and a slice of cheese where to me I would want at least three thick slices and two slices of cheese.) My other issue is that it is overpriced but I guess that’s typical in OBX.

Very good! Better than what I was expecting for a quiet southern resort town. Very close to NY style bagels.

Fantastic. Bagels are fresh and huge and of all kinds. Can get cream cheese, loads of toppings, and even toasted! Fast and inexpensive. Also have great lunch options. This will be my location for breakfast every morning.

The best bagel place in the Outer Banks! All of their food is delicious, and they have great smoothie and coffee options too. The only downside is that because it is so popular the wait can be long, especially on the weekends. Fortunately they have a lot of people working and they try to move customers through as quickly as possible, while still maintaining good service. I visit this show up every time I go to the Outer Banks.

The French Toast bagel is my favorite. Another must have when on vacation. Have them heat the bagel on the grill and it makes it 10 times better.

I don’t get why this place has such good reviews. Ordered bacon egg and cheese bagel and the amount of toppings was so minimal that it was all bagel. Also I ordered hot tea and they only had one caffeinated option and I could have bought a box of the same brand of teabag for a dollar at Walmart. My husband got coffee and a French toast bagel which he liked. Overall, low stars are for skimpy overpriced breakfast bagel.

Amazing bagels! We ordered an assortment & I has the French Toast and Cinnabun special. The place was crowded, so you could tell the bagels were in high demand. They were still warm and a great size. Our family was happy to wake up to a fresh set of bagels.

Amazing breakfast sandwiches. Real cracked eggs rather than the bucket o’ egg. Bagels are the best in town — try the Siracha… I’m still having dreams about that bagel. Staff is friendly despite being incredibly busy. Would recommend getting there earlier because if the lines. Looking forward to returning next year.

Our«go-to» place for breakfast! The sausage/bacon, egg and cheese on the french toast bagel is fantastic. My cousin really enjoyed the srirhacha bagel, and I never lose with the«everything» and poppy seed bagels. Again, the cinnamon burst is a favorite for the kids. Unfortunately, it does appear to be a local favorite, so there will be a wait, but I’m not going to knock the place for being busy – it’s that good! The staff is very personable and they do try to be swift without sacrificing quality. We’ll keep coming back!

Breakfast express in Corolla! Most definitely the best bagels in these parts! Just as delicious as NY bagels that are huge and filled with flavor. Tons of selection — bagels, breakfast sandwiches, smoked salmon & cream cheese combos, wraps, muffins etc. Service can be a little slow and the line a bit long but it’s worth it.

These bagels may not be as good as La Bagel Delight in Brooklyn but they are 5 stars compared to any other place outside of Brooklyn. When you pick them up, you can tell by how heavy they are compared to other bagels that there is some quality here. I like plain bagels to compare to other places but their specialty bagels(Cinnamon burst and french toast) were very tasty. I wish I had time to try some of their sandwiches because they looked good too but didn’t have time. They do not have asiago cheese or jalapeño bagels but pretty much all other normal varieties(see picture). The regular bagels are $ 1 and specialty ones are $ 1.50(cinnamon burst and French toast).

You’s from New York? These bagels are really almost as good as yours; best ones down in the OBX but get here early(before 8 a.m. During the in-season or prepare to wait in a loooong line. Can call your order in but they almost always seem to mess ours up). I dig the Sriracha bagel with egg and cheese. Raised doughnuts are good too. The also make smoothies but we’ve never tried them.

Before we came to Corolla our friends suggested Lighthouse Bagels. Good call friends! We ate here more than once… The lunch options are really good, if you enjoy a good deli sandwich then this place is totally for you. They use Boars Head deli meats and have some good options for bread including gluten free. The menu is pretty big and there’s a little something for everyone. Sandwiches are served with a pickle and a bag of Utz chips, simple and delicious. They also claim to have the best breakfast in town and although we haven’t tried every breakfast in town(and odds are they haven’t either), this was a super tasty way to kick off the morning. Their everything bagels have SALT, yes! Most bagel places leave the salt off and I was really happy to bite into that. The bagels are generously sized and perfectly chewy. They have a good selection of cream cheeses and other pastries also. All in all, this was an excellent way to kick off a vacation morning. Highly recommended if you like bagels!

We have great bagel shops here in jersey but this place is right up there with the rest. Fresh, doughy, wide selection and variety on cream cheese spreads. I got an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese it was perfection.

Lighthouse has some of the best bagels we’ve ever had. Their bagels are big and fluffy and are worth a visit if you are staying in Duck or Corolla. We split a bacon, egg, and cheese sesame bagel, and french toast bagel with cream cheese. The french toast bagel alone is worth a trip here — it has a crusty cinnamon top, and they generously fill their bagels with cream cheese. They do their egg sandwiches right by frying the eggs on the grill. And the bacon is thin, but super crispy… just what’s needed on a bagel. We also got an apple fritter, but since the bagels are so large and filling, we each took a bite and brought it home. The fritters are delicious, too, and will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. The line was long when we got there, but it moves along decently fast. There is no seating inside, but there are concrete picnic tables outside where your furry friend can join you for breakfast. And while Lighthouse serves pretty good coffee, if you are in the mood for a latte with your bagel, you can grab one at the coffee shop at the other end of the strip mall. Highly recommended!

Literally everything here is good. I’ve been here many, many times and I can’t recall myself or anyone in my family ever having a bad experience. I don’t even eat bagels unless they’re from here. Some of my favorites are the french toast bagel(of course), the pretzel(when I can get my hands on one — they go fast), the maple bacon donut, and the lemon poppyseed muffin. I’ve also had a variety of their smoothies which are pretty good. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Pricing is not bad for what you get in terms of quality and portion. During the summer you ARE going to wait in line, there’s no real way around it. Even in the«off season» I’ve waited 10+ minutes, but it is worth it. The only real complaint I have(other than the wait times, which is a direct result of their awesomeness), is that some items don’t last too long i.e.: the pretzel, the«sweet bagels» and donuts do not travel well or stay good past a day or two — but again that just goes to show how fresh everything is. You have to try this place when in the OBX area, regardless of wait time. PS: If Lighthouse Bagel staff is reading this — if you’re ever looking for a test candidate for a shipping/delivery program sign me up ;) I’d love some bagel-y deliciousness in the Bay Area!(seriously though)

I can’t believe this has been here so long and I never heard of it! It took Unilocal to point me to a decent bagel. Just goes to show you can’t trust a southerner to point you to a solid NY/NJ style bagel. ;) That’s the amazing thing… you walk in, see the bagel shop chow line, huge self serve pots of coffee, a dozen bins filled with fresh made bagels that are disappearing before you can decide which to get… and you can’t believe you are at the beach. Places like this don’t exist outside of NJ and NY. They’ve done a great job. It’s legit I’ll be back!

When you go here, be aware that the line may be wrapped around the café on the inside. Usually it’s a good sign that it’s got delicious food, which in this case was true. They have delicious-looking doughnuts(I didn’t try any) and a huge assortment of bagels. They were perfectly chewy and make for great breakfast sandwiches because when you bite into them, all of your fillings don’t slip out. I may judge a bagel place by looking at their egg bagel… their’s looked legit! Bright yellow as it should be so you know they did it right. The bagel flavors ranged from the ordinary, to creative, to «why didn’t I think of that?» I don’t know why I thought this was cool, but they offer a whole wheat everything. Usually for someone who wants a whole wheat option, they get just that, instead of having the luxury of the white bagel eaters who have lots of choices. I also liked that you could take home tubs of their cream cheese, because then you can take a little piece of your meal(and some memories) home with you. They serve coffee, which wasn’t anything special, and their sub prices seemed really expensive so we’re glad we didn’t come for lunch. I also wish they had seating inside, because if it’s too hot or raining outside, it would be nice to have that option.
