Woody’s Farm to Table

Skip this place, take the time to find something better. The burgers were not cooked how we asked for it and not seasoned at all. The fries were varying from greasy and over cooked to greasy and undercooked in one basket. It’s upsetting that when a restaurant says its farm to table and doesn’t care about the product they are giving its customers. Total bummer, don’t fall for it. The young lady at the counter was polite.

Great little place. Really good burgers not just beef in a bun and the bun holds up to the burger and toppings. If your in Cornwall and looking for a good place to eat you should definitely give Woodys Farm to Table a try.

Delicious burgers! So much better than the places making burgers with the cheapest possible meat. They tell you where they source their ingredients and there is a definite taste difference. We will definitely be going back here!

The food was not bad, not amazing but not bad. The customer service was subpar. The staff was unfriendly and did not help me make sense of the menu. It was as if they did not want me there, supporting their small business. I arrived with a party of three, and only two of us received our meal. It was another 10 minutes before the third plate arrived. Kitchen delays were never communicated to our group. It was disappointing.

We really liked this place when we first moved here, but our recent experiences have been disappointing to say the least. Burgers have been dry and the sides have been greasy and needed far less salt than was applied. Staff seemed less interested in customers than her phone on our last visit. With so many other good options nearby, I am sorry to say we will not be visiting near as often in the future.

Have eaten here multiple times and the food has been great. Haven’t had a burger but they smell great. The soda fountain is not your name brand sodas, different flavors. The staff is always friendly but very young. The place is always clean! Out seating is a plus and location is easy to get to.

Everything else on menu??? Questionable.
Their sides just don’t match up to the quality of their burgers. For example: Frozen lousy regular fries, lousy sweet potato fries, lousy pickles. Where are the sweet bread and butter pickles? Where are the true hand –cut fries?

This place is a joke. No customer service. They always screw up the order. Why ask for what temp. I want my burger if it always comes out well done. They advertise as local /​farm to table and ARE NOT. Prices are way too high for garbage food.

Giving it 5 stars just because everything was really yummy and I get really mad when restaurants don’t know how to cook burgers the way I ask them to and this place actually delivered our burgers medium and medium rare. So A+ for Woodys. My bf said it gave him a woody.

We stopped in for a meal after discovering that the restaurant we first tried to go to was closed. We dug the casual, homey vibe of Woody’s and the diverse menu. The staff were super friendly and nice.
I had the steak burger, which was slightly overcooked. I asked for medium-​rare to rare and got a medium well, well done burger. Sweet potato fries were tasty and the shake was creamy and flavorful. Nothing to complain about, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again.
I did really like knowing where the meat was coming from. The sign that says «Gone skiing on Tuesdays» is delightful as well.

We are done with Woody’s. More times than not, they get the order wrong. Even this order: a hamburger, no cheese, nothing at all except a burger. They got that wrong. How is that possible? I’ll tell you how. Because the people behind the counter are not paying any attention at all. When we went to pick up the order, it took almost 2 minutes to get anyone’s attention, because they all had their backs to the counter. Tonight, in addition to the order being wrong and being ignored, the buns were stale, and the meat was completely tasteless — not close to the same quality as it used to be. 4 burgers, 2 fries and a hay cost almost $ 50. Done.

We stopped in for a quick afternoon bite to eat while we were in the area. We were hesitant at the 3.5 stars, but decided to give it a try. I’m glad we did! The employees were friendly and nice. Everything was cooked to order and arrived in about 8 – 10 minutes. The patties seem like they’re packaged, but I think that’s because they use a press. The fries and onion rings weren’t overly greasy as other reviews said. They offered gluten free buns which is always a plus to me. May have been a bit overpriced as two burgers and fries ended up being $ 30.

Burgers are reasonably priced and very good. Fries are fresh and tasty. My wife liked the onion haystack. Nice and comfortable atmosphere and the service was great.

I came here for the first time a few weeks ago and wast crazy about the place. I order a burger with sweet potato fries and an order of fried pickles. My burger wasn’t cooked properly and the fried pickles were so burnt all you could taste was the burn. Honestly it wasn’t worth the $ 20+ spent.

We were visiting the West Point campus and museum and needed a place to eat. I have the cheeseburger, fries, soda combo. It was delicious. The restaurant was clean and fresh. The staff was cheerful. I would definetly recommend Woody’s and will repeat it I get back to the area. Since I only tasted a small portion of the menu I can’t really say if it is 5 star rating worthy.

This is the first time I tried this establishment and I must say it was everything I could of hoped for. I walked in it was fairly busy an open kitchen with cashiers on iPads taking orders. The menu is big so it takes a minute to take it all in. The burgers is the day are on a chalk board next to the counter but there aw no descriptions but the girls behind the counter did a great job of describing them to me. I settled on the Breakfast burger fries and a beverage. Cost was around what I expected considering the style of restaurant so it wasn’t so shocking as I expected that same quality back.
I received my burger in about 10 minutes which I appreciate because I like fresh made food, it came out piping hot, fries were crispy and fresh. The soda machine was something out of a dream! In a world where everybody has those insane coke machines with 1 000 000 choices, so glad to drink some Boylan Crème soda and root beer. I could of sat there all day just drinking soda lol. Once I took my first bite I knew this was special. Burger was hot, I could taste the ham, egg and hot dog with this delicious hollandaise sauce. I literally couldn’t get over how good it was. The fries were not to be out done and were magnificent. I walked in hungry and struggled with the last bite. I must say on this first visit they were everything I wanted and more. Take it from one who is very picky when it comes to high end comfort food well worth it but do expect it to cost you a pretty penny.

Great Veggie burgers, great hand cut fries, yummy baked beans and Awesome fried pickles. Delicious milk shakes, and a great sparkling water machine. If you want something lighter than a burger, they also have salads. Personally the burgers are so good why pass up the opportunity. The restaraunt has a lot of seating indoors and offer some outdoor picnic tables. The staffs very nice and wait time is quick. This place is full of light and just has that farm to table vibe. Prices are reasonable and the burgers are filling, but don’t hesitate on a side, they are all very good.

Not really what I thought it would be. Came here thinking that they wood be homemade burgers made onsite out of chopmeat but I saw the cook rip prepackaged patties out of plastic wrapping (similar to the old Topps patties but a little thicker)
I also saw him take precooked burgers set aside to the right of the grill and reheat them. I asked for mine cooked medium and it came out WELL… I took the order to go so i was stuck with what i got.
Milk shake was good …

Woody’s has been re-​opened and I was excited to go back since based on my last review I liked the burger and fries. Unfortunately in my opinion with everyone’s zeal to support a local business that supports locals farms the result is positive biased reviews with the product being bad food!
First off I suggest you leave a tip for the staff when you pay, I feel like a complete idiot for not leaving a tip initially until I realized they bring the food to your table so I quickly tossed a few bucks in the tip bowl at the register. As for the food I have to say the burger was bland and tasteless with my fries looking like scraps! My fries looked nothing like the pictures others posted. I don’t recall the experience being this bad years ago when I visited. They also don’t serve premium soda, it’s from a local brewer (I’m being presumptuous about that) but it’s a brewer I’ve never heard of and it taste nasty!
For the quality of the food I still feel it’s over priced compared to local diners in the area. I dare even say Five Guys is better than this place! I’m a burgers & fries kind of guy and with articles posted that this place as rated with the best burger in the Hudson Valley I’m still trying to figure out if those critics even remember what a Woody’s burger even taste like. I’ll never visit this place again even if it were free. God my fries looked like crap but I’m not a complainer so maybe that’s my fault.
[Edit 11/​14/​13] For the record in regards to the owners mention of my review being under the old Woody’s review, it was there for literally 24hrs! After my visit I «updated» my review only to find this «new» listing which seemed to avoid my negative experience. I correctly re-​located my new review to the correct «entity». The owner is correct in that it would be unfair to give a 1-​star rating to the previous entity when my poor experience was with the current business which I actually was genuinely excited about hearing was re-​opened.

So if those photos of fries is what Woody’s produces then I did not get that and got exactly what I described «scraps!» It’s unfortunate I had a bad experience but I wasn’t blown away by the original Woody’s & certainly not by the new Woody’s. I won’t go back even for FREE food.

$ 15 for a burger and fries, the same price as an actual restaurant with actual service, neither of which does this place have… That’d be fine if it were cooked the way I asked (it came well-​done, but I asked for medium-​rare.) They had asked me to repeat my order twice, which I did, but it still came out wrong. As did both of my friends’ orders. It took at least forty minutes for our food to arrive, and were afraid that it would take them even longer to fix everything, so we didn’t bother — why should we have to spend hours and hours of our time compensating for their wrongs? Also, the french fries were raw, greasy, disgusting. And the onion hay was soggy, flavorless, inedible. And the sweet potato fries were burnt, oily, gross. Fast food that is incredibly slow and done incredibly poorly? No thanks.
For this price, you can go to an actual restaurant and get actual service. Oh, let me mention the service! The employees were arguing and fighting! The cook kept yelling at and berating the cashier. The girl making milkshakes kept spilling everything and crying WHY DOES EVERYTHING ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME, rather than being careful. And they were all laughing AT customers, in their faces AND behind their backs! It felt like a bunch of untrained undisciplined high schoolers, and for this price point, it really just doesn’t make any sense to me. There were 3 of us, we had different things intentionally, and we were all dissatisfied.
