Farmside Acres

My wife and kids love this spot as we visit every year and this year is no different. They have a good assortment of trees to pick from with a single base price which can be a blessing or a curse. The fixed price is nice if you are going for a huge tree where you get the best bang for your buck but if you want the experience of cutting down your tree but can only fit something small in your home I think the fixed price can be a bit much for smaller trees.
They are only open for several days of the year usually the first two weekends in December so call ahead if you are coming from afar. It’s also a family owned farm so it’s a cash business only; no checks or credit cards so make that withdrawal ahead of time.
Cutting your own Christmas tree is a neat experience and a real treat if you have smaller children. The farm provides hand saws for cutting or you can have an attendant cut your tree with a chainsaw.
