The Inn At Rolling Hills

Nice room… but, ended up getting bed bug bites from the blanket in the room and the thermostat dial didn’t work. So ok kinda sucks but the reason for the review was the only response this morning from the front desk… oh sorry that happened. So the two starts is for the potential of how cool the room could be and 1 star for customer service.

My wife and I have stayed here numerous times. But obviously not under their new general manager! They offer a Commercial Driver discount. It was a perfect place for us to meet since our home is not to far away! Back in December of 2014 we stayed there there was a problem with the a bed and having springs poking out badly! After being out on the road for weeks all you want is just to sleep in a nice bed!
My wife and I just returned recently to stay at the Inn. We did not realize it until we were going to bed, that we were in same room! And what made us realize it was the same bad with the same springs poking up! We went to speak to the manager about the condition of the bed. She basically told us that since we had gotten the cheapest rate on the room there was nothing she could really do for us, and that she’d already done a lot for us by giving us that rate. She said our option was to be transferred to a different room or find a different hotel. We chose to find a different hotel and we will not be back! The managers customer service skills are lacking to say the least! After the way the manager treated us the only thing I wanted to do was leave the facility! So we went to Colusa Casino and had a enjoyable experience!

the room was nice the buffet was real good stayed two nights but didn’t stay the third because the second night my mother and I were leaving the room to go to the casino at 9:23 pm and some man came outside of his room and did a motion like slitting his neck and said not tonight ladies be quiet mind you it is Saturday night and we barely stepped one foot out of the room he was right there. when I went down stairs and said something to the front desk she told me to «make sure we are quiet and don’t slam the door’ I told her we didn’t even close the door yet and he was already right there signing us and telling us that she said oh ok like really??? that’s it??? when we got back from the casino our room key did not work so I had to walk to the front desk to have her activate my card again honestly I used the key card more then 8 times today so I don’t understand how it got deactivated both cards??? honestly I think the lady at the front desk deactivated it for saying something about the man.

We stayed here on our way to the desert at the first of February. The room was fine but I noticed a stain on the bed sheet. Everything appeared to be clean so I did not say anything about it. I should have. When we arrived home a month later I found a bill for $ 17 for a new bed sheet from them. I did not call because it wasn’t worth the effort but I feel it was a shady way of getting an extra $ 17 on the room rate. We will NEVER stay here again and will tell all our friends not to stay here either. I was very insulted because I always try to leave the room in good order and we take care of things.

Great rooms that are always clean and smell fresh. Pet friendly (not sure if there is a size limit) with only a $ 10/​day fee. Love the free breakfast buffet at the casino (hint: go for the fresh cooked egg/​omelette bar). Staff is always polite even when my phone connection sucks when I call from the road to make a reservation. The pool and hot tub here are very restorative and zen inducing. They seem like a regular pool and hot tub, but something about them is crazy relaxing.

Rolling Hills Casino is situated off I-​5 approximately halfway between Portland and Los Angleles. The resort features an Indian casino, lodge, detached Inn, golf course, buffet-​style restaurant, steakhouse, bar, café, nightclub, truck stop and more. We reserved ahead and it was a bit confusing as to which place to stay since the lodge and Inn were similar in description and price. We ended up staying at the detached Inn that is about a 100 yards from the casino.
We enjoyed our standard room and found it to be clean and up to date. Our room had a king bed, flat-​screen TV, desk, couch, coffee table, mini-​fridge, microwave, ironing board, iron, coffee maker with coffee and air & heat. The pillows were a bit uncomfortable but the bed was just right. Other rooms at the Inn include a private hot tub. Outside is a nice looking hot tub and pool with a decorative waterfall. We overheard that they also have a fitness center which could come in handy to counter the tasty casino buffet breakfast that’s complimentary with each day’s stay. Adjacent to the Inn is trucker and RV parking and a building for travelers with showers, laundry machines and more.
We were told by an employee at the casino that they preferred the attached lodge but we were more than satisfied where we were. Although the attached lodge does have an impressive indoor pool. We didn’t find the casino to be lucky but the steak restaurant was great and breakfast buffet was perfect.

Aweful place! We had reservation for king smoking room. Tried to check in early at 11:00 am and were told no, you can’t check in till 3 pm. We tried to check in at 4 pm and no room. Had to pay more $ and stay next door at «The Lodge»! What is the point of having a reservation for the room you reserved and they won’t honor that! :-(

Best shower head. Comfie beds. Great queen beds with three pillows. Sink and toilet work like they should. Doesn’t smell bad. Not noisy. Close to casino. Free casino breakfast buffet. Right off the freeway. COFFEEMAKER. Nice folks.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Our stay started with the receptionist giving us directions to the wrong city (1 hour further North) which caused me to miss my horse show which was the ONLY reason I was staying at this hotel. I called to complain to the manager and she basically could care less and said I was lying and that the person I spoke to «had worked and lived there for years and would NEVER give out incorrect info.» Next when we arrived the room was dirty! The showed had pubic hair and toe nail clippings in it. The towels were dirty. Then the shower flooded the entire bathroom and entry way of the room. When we complained about that, they just shrugged and said «ALL THE ROOMS ARE THAT WAY!» Next I threw away a dirty-​prior used disposable shoe polish towel in the morning and then in the evening when returning to my room, the cleaning person had dug it out of the trash and put it back in the basket that contained the complimentary toiletries. Then, I found out after I had given my credit card just to reserve the room and another card to pay for the room at check out, they billed both cards for an inflated amount! I called the hotel to complain and spoke to the same receptionist I had been given incorrect directions by «AMY.» She told me there was nothing they would do for me to fix the charges. I asked to speak to a manager and she said that there was not one working today, I asked about tomorrow and she said no, then about Wednesday and she said no. I told her that I know there is a manager and that she better let me talk to one or that the manager better get my message and call me back first thing in the morning, and she hung up on me. I have called the Sherriff dept. to file a case of fraud and theft, I have disputed the charges with both banks, I have called the Rolling Hills Casino’s general manager and filed a complaint, and filed a complaint with the Arabian Horse Association so that they do not recommend this hotel in the future to their members. I hope that at this point I get my money back and that «AMY’ gets harshly reprimanded if not fired! But at least I can inform others as to how I was treated and to warn them NOT TO USE THIS HOTEL!
BUYER BEWARE!!! I have previously written about this establishment in regards to my horrible stay, their horrible customer service, and the fraudulent charges that they charged to my credit card. I was told by the receptionist «AMY» that they would not fix the charges that she did not have a manager, then she had a manger but she wouldn’t let me speak to that person. I demanded last night to have the manager contact me first thing in the morning and now it is 2:23pm the next day and no call! I called again (my 3^rd call) to see if the manager was there and I got «AMY» on the phone again who placed me on a very, very long hold, while she got the manager. When she got back on the phone she said AGAIN my manager isn’t available. I told her I left a message last night with her to have the manager call me ASAP today and no call, and that I did not trust her to leave a message for the manager. At this point it obvious that this «Amy» doesn’t want me to speak to a manger! I again demanded to speak to the manager and she hung up on me AGAIN! After many failed attempts to rectify this issue with this business I disputed the charges completely because I was fraudulently charged on two credit cards for a larger amount then the booking price and because I was not given what I had paid for, which was a clean and working room. I have also followed up with the sheriff again on case # 140 505 – 054 because they do believe that this establishment has done this before and feel that this «AMY» may be double billing cards and pocketing the cash for one of the charges, which is embezzlement! I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AND WILL WARN EVERYONE I KNOW AND EVER MEET!

Can’t say enough about this place. Our truck broke down after we had already taken our break at the Inn. As the tow truck pulled away my husband looked at me and said, lets head back and get our room back!
We have stayed here for almost a week now. The staff is friendly and helpful and will always go out of their way to make you feel at home. They have pet friendly rooms and per a previous comment have very nice flat screen televisions. The room comes with complimentary breakfast buffet over at the casino, which was fantastic and complimentary doggie daycare if you occupy a pet friendly room. The pool and hotub are not huge… but very pretty and plenty big enough for us, only saw one other person utilizing the pool the entire week we stayed.
For all the truckers out there… The Inn offers a cdl rate of $ 76. Not just during the week, its anytime and includes the breakfast buffet over at the casino. The clubhouse located directly next to the Inn has laundry facilities, showers, the doggie daycare and even a hair salon.
This place is not a chain and it shows. The Manager is passionate about her job and it trickles down to her employees. I say, good job and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Basic rooms but everything else was wonderful! Staff was helpful and friendly ensuring we got the best rate possible which included free buffet breakfast, doggie day care and use of both hotels pools (indoor and outdoor). Will surely make this an annual stop of ours!

Just a basic room and the mattress was lousy. The check in was quick and easy. Wifi works well. Just steps to the casino and your stay includes the casino buffet for breakfast. The buffet is very good and very complete. The front desk person when we checked out could be greatly improved — quite unfriendly.

Stayed here this weekend, the rooms are your basic rooms. We got a smoking room, it didn’t smell to heavily if smoke, but then again maybe I just couldn’t smell it. Beds were on the soft side, but they had plenty of pillows. You also get free breakfast buffet with you room, the buffet is in the casino, it’s normally $ 8.95 a person so that’s a good value added on. I would stay here again if I’m in the area.

Honestly, I checked in here because I saw the sweet check-​in offer that gave me a room at a large discounted rate, well since it was a check in offer and not an advertised deal, I booked the room, got there, checked in on Unilocal,then showed the attendant up front my check-​in offer like it stated and she DENIED me the discount. said I had to use the code word when I made the reservation. What’s the point of having a check-​in offer if you don’t honor it?
I will not stay here again. The rooms didn’t even have flat screens! they had these old tube TVs. This is kinda disappointing considering how much money they just made on me for staying in a overpriced hotel room at a mediocre casino in the middle of nowhere.

Stopped for the night while travelling north on I-​5. Good place, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Being next to the casino was an added perk. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely return.

While the room was generally clean, the bedspreads on BOTH the queen-​sized beds were FILTHY. The dirt (and God knows what else) was clearly evident, even through the old-​school, gawdy-​print bedspread… Which led me to wonder when, if ever, the shabby, orange blanket was last laundered. Another ‘ick’ moment was the sign inside the women’s restroom in the casino that read «Please do not flush toilet paper. Throw it in the trashcan.» And… sure enough, the trash can next to the toilet was billowing over with urine and feces-​soaked toilet paper. Another negative was the television, which only had ten or so channels, and the hotel’s wi-​fi was not working.

Great place to stay when in the area. The service is great, place is super clean and comfortable. They also have a pool, jacuzzi suites, and an exercise room. The room includes a free breakfast buffet. I’m not referring to muffins and fruit, real breakfast food such as eggs, bacon, ham, and pancakes! If you reserve ahead of time, they also have rooms available for those of you who like to bring along your pets! There’s a golf course close by and a casino right next door. Their list of amenities & services goes on and on. free wifi, free hbo channel, free newspaper and parking, rooms have a hairdryer, iron, coffee maker, etc, fridge & microwave available in king rooms, and there’s a game room in the casino. Its not super expensive and its worth checking out if you haven’t been!
