Rob at the pro desk was extremely helpful. I usually go to lowes seeing how it is closer to my house by about 15 minutes but I will continue to come here because of Rob. Whatever is missing in this home depot it makes up for in employees.

Home Depot had a promotion of 12 months, free financing and since we had replaced all except two windows with energy efficient systems, decided to to ahead and complete the cycle.
Took forever to schedule the installation but finally accomplished this week.
Went to the store this weekend and made first payment.
Wife had a question as to how to increase the setting of a Hot Water Heater and asked a sales associate the same question.
Big mistake because he spent 30 minutes trying to upsell her while I spent 30 minutes trying to get her out of the store.
Increasing the temperature on a hot water heater is just a matter of adusting two dails (upper and lower element) and going from there.

DIY baby! We like this store more so than Lowes. I guess it’s just a matter of taste, or I’m just used to the store layout. Ever since race car driver Tony Stewart had Home Depot as a sponsor we’ve been shopping here. As well as the credit card deal we have of 0% financing. the only negative thing is that it’s hard to find help in these type of stores. In my opinion, they have streamlined so far that they’ve cut the workforce to the bare minimum.

Pleased with my first real experience with Home Depot.
As I’m planning my upcoming move, I’m buying a new dining room table & chairs from IKEA. The chairs are a boring pine, so I decided to paint them «grass green.» Enter in Home Depot. They weren’t busy at all, as it was almost 5 PM on a weekday. The employee at the paint counter greeted me immediately & I gave him the paint sample. He walked me through getting the primer & how long to wait for each step in the process of painting — prime, wait, paint, wait. Hey, this is important stuff! I needed to know exactly what to do to prevent any screw ups.
I didn’t have to wait too long. I used self-checkout & I was on my way. Prices for the paint & primer came to $ 53, which isn’t too bad, I suppose.
There were plenty of employees milling about the floor & I was happy to see a clean store.
Plenty of parking out front.

it is impossible to get anyone to help. i bought the living room rugs here several months ago, but lord knows i had to load them to get to the check out by myself. we ordered a bathroom vanity, and with the subpar quality and difficulty getting help with the issues we had, have vowed never to return again…
however…HD is the only place with closetmaid (that i know of). after traipsing through the store to find help, i found someone who told me to go online– that no one instore could help me.
i. give. up.
maybe the university location is better…

After looking at washers and dryers at Lowes in Huntersville, NC for 10 — 15 minutes no one in the store had offered to help. Obviously they don’t need my money so I went to Home Depot instead and bought a washer and dryer set. I was helped quickly and got a good deal. Delivery was on time and installation was quick. I will stay with Home Depot for now on.

Even though I have a Lowe’s close to the house, which I do use only in a pinch, Home Depot always has the best prices on major purchases and a better selection and pricing overall.
For example when we bought our new front loading washer and dryer this past summer Home Depot had the best price on a Maytag set with only $ 99 for the pedestals and free set up and delivery which saved us over $ 600 off of regular price. I also like the tool brand, Husky better as well. Just scored a Black Friday patio heater for $ 99 that had better reviews than the one Lowe’s sold.
Overall the stores are clean and the sales staff is helpful.
For selection and pricing I would rather go to Home Depot than Lowe’s anyday.
