This place is genius! Daycare, boarding, grooming and a full bar to hang out with your baby(ies)! Food trucks on the weekend and various animal fundraising events. Great team of staffs! My baby loves Charlotte one of the managers. They take great care of my baby whenever she goes there.

Since moving here from CA I was nervous to find a new place for my pups. I had heard a lot of good things about this place And thought I would give it a try. I took the pups in for just a shampoo, it was very reasonable in price for everything they do. Not only do they get a shampoo but they clip nails, anal glands and a ear cleaning. Everyone there was very sweet and friendly. When I picked up my pups they seemed like they had a pretty Good experience And then a very sweet girl(I forgot to get her name) showed me around. I’m excited to go back and let Them pups play and frolic while I have some drinks with friends.

Love this place for our pups. We get brews while they mingle with the other dogs. Great selection of beer!

My dogs have been in daycare almost there whole lives when we lived in California. Now that we live in Charlotte I need to find a new daycare and that’s not going to be easy as we loved are last daycare. Lucky Dog has filled that spot for my pups and me. They are super sweet and friendly but the most important thing is that they win my dogs hearts and they have. My dogs loved being there and I felt very good that they were in the right hands. They are reasonable priced and the hours for daycare even top the daycare we used for 6 years in California. Thank you Lucky Dog we have found our new daycare!!!

Thought this is a cool place to have a bud with my bud. My dogs a little nervous around a lot of noise, people and dogs so we didn’t stay long. It’s not this places fault he’s just a scaredy cat

Doggies are allowed off leash only in the outside area on the left. Good thing you can order from the bar inside or outside, thanks Lucky Dog! The entrance to the doggie outside area is a little tight, several pups were able to wiggle out of the gate when I visited. The outside area is large though I did miss the comfy Adirondack style chairs the Dog Bar in NoDa has. If you live in the Lake Norman area this is the spot for drinking and off leash dog play. BONUS– sweet koozie if you check in on Unilocal

We tried this place last weekend and were pleasantly surprised. The bar has an indoor as well as outdoor area. We preferred the outdoor area, since it was a nice day. There is a $ 10 annual family membership fee, but if it’s your first time, they let you in for free to try it out first. The outside area has a covered porch area with tables, and then they have an enclosed outside area, open to sky, with some picnic tables and umbrellas. For dogs, they have a kiddie pool with water for them to splash around in, and some dog steps and slides. If dogs do their business, they provide plenty of poop bags and mops to clean it up. The staff is very good about cleaning up too, but if your dog decides to go, please remember to clean up yourself, because it is the responsible thing to do. They do have a lot of beer, wine and mixed drink options. They have vending machines, but don’t have food. You can, however, bring your own food, or have food delivered from other restaurants. They also have TVs to watch a game with a drink, while your dog socializes. Overall, a great concept.

This place rocks. I have been there on several occasions as I travel to the area from Colorado. Today I dropped my dog off for day care. Staff was welcoming and helpful. My dog was picked up tired and well exercised. They thanked me for having paperwork for my dogs vaccines, and allowed me to quickly get out to take my Aunt to lunch. I go every time I am in the area. Highly recommended to drop your dog, or go for drinks and have a good time!

I have been taking my dog to lucky dog for a couple months now and border my dog there for a week. I am always being updated on how she is doing and when I want to know. I trust the people there like they are family! Knowing my dog is having fun and safe I have no worries in the world! I would recommend this place to anyone whether that is boarding, drinking, or daycare! Thanks for the hardworking staff that makes this place amazing!

What a concept, needs a little improving but overall a real winner. A lot of pet owners feel it isn’t there responsibility to clean up after their pet! Excellent selections of beer, they have deals with local take out restaurants to bring food in and it’s done almost as quickly as if they served their own. Can’t wait for the new location to open as it’s closer to home.

I agree with a lot of the reviews. I have gone a few times. The first couple of times it was really cool to see the place and let your dogs play while having a drink. After a few times of going, it seemed that the staff was very rude. They didn’t pick up after the animals(Even though the pup-parents are really responsible for doing so) My dog stepped in a huge pile of poo and I had to clean it up. The staff is very short with you. I asked for a drink while inside the bar with my dog on the leash and they told me I had to go outside. I went one early afternoon to take the dog for a groom and noticed that there were dogs playing. So I went to open the door so they could paly until we were ready for our groom. The girls rushed over to me and said I don’t go in there. With completely no explanation. I then asked, why… and I got a rude repsonse… these dogs are boarders! Well holy shit, Don’t you think they would want another one to play with? Isn’t that the concept here? My dog is completely up to date on his shots. Grooming only happened a few times and he now hates going there. Hmmm… I haven’t been back. I actually«know of» someone who may or may not have been affiliated with the place previously and they said it’s a joke there. We drink our beer at home and go to the dog park regularly now. Lucky Dog isn’t the place we want to be.

After going to both this bar and the NODA dog bar, the Cornelius dog bar is hands down the best dog bar in the area. Extremely clean for a dog bar, and a full service $ 20 – 25 bathing session while you’re watching football having a beer. Great spot, great experience, great service. Cannot say enough about this place. However, if you order wings, make sure you get celery… Sometimes they forget.

This place is the best idea ever. You can hang out and drink beer while your pup runs around and plays. There is a covered outside area, open outdoor space, and an indoor play area. They also offer other dog services like doggy day care and baths. Most owners here are considerate and keep an eye on their dog’s behavior. Their beer selection is excellent, with several craft beers as well as the usual offerings. Servers here are friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this spot — especially for Sunday football with the multiple TVs.

I took down my first review of this place, as the owners saw what had happened and they wanted to fix it. I accepted their apologies, as the misinformation came from employees. They offered to make an exception for me to accommodate my schedule for getting my dog in for a temperament test. I’m very happy they did this as I have gone a few times to the bar itself and I love it. Craft beer and dogs. what could be better?

Great place to hang with indoor and outdoor play areas for the dogs to run and explore. Service is great, the staff keeps the water bowls, pools, and adult beverages full! Kudos the staff for being hands on with the dogs as well, I have a 12 pound mix that is extremely playful when the bigger dogs get out of hand the staff steps in and helps. When those summer days hit with rain this is a good alternative to parks that are muddy! Enjoy the music, assortment of drinks, and let the dogs run wild!

Had an appointment, took almost 4 hrs for a groom. Sat and waited for the last 1.5 hrs. beer sat empty for 30 mins. Bartender walked by and made eye contact multiple times, but I couldn’t get her attention to get another beer. We were the only ones at the bar. This was my third trip there. First time was great, second time was mediocre, this time was terrible. Will not be a fourth visit.

What a concept. I just love the place and its nice to be able to go out and bring your pets. The food truck Friday is amazing but would like to see more vendors. I might like to see more tables in the outdoor area and make it a rule that people cannot hold tables. I have been there about 4 times where we wanted to just sit and eat and someone just left a leash on a table to hold it and then left for more than 40 minutes. If you have a table sit at it or don’t hold it. Leave it for the patrons who are eating. But the staff is nice and friendly. It might use to more lighting in the indoor dog area but other than that, I like it very very much

What a great concept! I wish I had come up with it… I took my dog to this place last week and it was really neat and an awesome concept. Love the groomers there! They are not only awesome at their job, but also fun people to talk with… the bar has great drink specials. and the bartenders and staff are all very helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Lake Norman finally has an answer to that proverbial question«Who let the dogs out?» Lucky Dog Bark & Brew did, at least as of last week when they celebrated their final inspection and opened the doors to Facebook fans that were eagerly awaiting this place for months. Last Friday my wife and I took our cocker spaniel Hunter to check out his new favorite 18 and up «doggy exclusive» neighborhood bar located where Kylie’s use to be off US-21, closest to exit 28. The inside of the place has been essentially cut in half, the left half is the main area which is for«leashed» dogs. It contains a large bar surrounded by big screen TVs, additional tables nearby, and some couches by the Jukebox. The right side is completely open for«unleashed» dog romping action and also includes water stations and picnic tables scattered throughout. Pick up a beer on tap, bottle, or a glass of wine and hang out on either side while your pooch runs wild with potential playmates. There is also an outside area that will be very nice as the weather cools off this Fall. This is also an «unleashed» zone, and provides additional seating and plenty of outside room for patrons and pups. Membership for your furry friend is only $ 10 and half of that goes to the Cornelius Animal Shelter. That’s a pretty small fee to know your dog has his very own Cheer’s where at least the owner’s know his name. They also offer doggie day care and grooming services on top of the bar experience. We ended the night with some grub from the Juan Taco food truck outside, she was neither Mexican nor had a mustache, but she knew how to make delicious quesadillas so we grabbed her card and hope to see her outside this bar next time. It’s just the beginning for Lucky Dog Bark & Brew, but with themed nights planned, the support of local canine rescue groups and dog lovers alike, we are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for our best friend’s newest watering hole!
