Lakeside Tan has a sign on the doors that it has decided to close. I wouldn’t plan on using their services.

I think you get what you get. It is a very casual setting and the prices are very reasonable. Don’t expect anything swank. If you want a tan, you will get a tan. The end!

This salon is very low key and didn’t have too many reviews but I wasn’t worried I figured I’d try it out. Don’t get me wrong the salon is super clean and the staff is very friendly and they provide excellent service!!! However, the building is a little aged but that doesn’t say anything about its services, don’t judge a book by its cover! I got an awesome groupon for 3 spray tans for $ 35 which is an absolute steal so I had to try it out! My spray tan was awesome! I got my spray tan 7 days ago and it’s still going strong! Im very good about following the spray tan rules so as long as you do that you’re golden (literally). The color was beautiful and natural! I felt very comfortable being naked in front of the staff and they were very helpful and professional. Make sure you put enough to barrier cream on the backs of your ankles, I didn’t and they got a little streaky but not that noticeable and that was my error. Definitely give these guys a try! I drove from north Charlotte to try this place and the price and quality was definitely worth it compared to some of the prices you pay in Charlotte!

Love this place!!! The workers are VERY friendly they make you feel welcome and comfortable! My mom got a spray tan while I was on vacation and when I came home I was shocked at how tan she got! she looked so good! I didn’t even know it was a spray tan until she told me! They have radios in all the rooms and after you get out there’s a counter with everything you need! Spray on deodorant, body spray, face wipes, ponytails, bobby pins and stickers for tanning! Great place!

The staff are very professional and always busy helping the customers. The spray tan is a definite must for anyone looking for a safe quick tan. Ask for Brooke, she did an excellent job with me!

This shop offers a hodge podge of services/​items. They offer body wraps, 3 levels of UV tanning, and spray tanning. When you walk into the lobby, there’s a a shelf of tanning lotions and tanning related products as well as a sunglass tower and purses hanging on the wall. The staff that works here is friendly and extremely casual… which is good and bad. It’s good that they remember your name and seem pleased to see you, but it’s bad that they assume you don’t mind waiting for them to finish a personal phone conversation before they assist you.
I’ve been tanning in their level 1 UV beds and am pleased with the results. They only have two beds, but I’ve never had to wait too long. They don’t offer any of the «modern conveniences» of other tanning salons like stickers or built in radios, but the beds get you tan so what else can you ask for?!

I needed a very dark competition tan for a body building contest, and had never been spray tanned before. The girl working was awesome (I wish I asked her name, she is pregnant right now). She was super nice and made me feel very comfortable and did a great job.
They have great prices compared to others– especially competition tan prices, and spray tan all sorts of people (even 85 year old ladies!) and will totally be back for my next competition tan (I really wish I could afford to do this regularly (they do sell packages) since its such a fast and awesome way to tan)!

A Living Social daily deal sent me to Lakeside Tan for a body wrap. This is where you put on a protective sheath (?) and get into a full body heating pad. The purpose is for you to sweat up to 1,000 calories in an hour. I was quite comfortable in the wrap — I didn’t feel the heat and I didn’t know I was sweating for quite some time. I read online that it is quite relaxing and that it was. Initially, I didn’t think that was possible because of the low walls (they don’t go up to the ceiling), the music in the lobby area, and the conversations going on in that area. However, after a long day at work, I earned the nap that I got during my stay. As I am now a budding adventurer, this trip was well worth the cost. The staff member on duty was exceptional (her name escapes me but she has a new baby). She relieved the worries and misconceptions that I brought with me.
