Ledge Rock Hill Winery & Vineyard

My wife and I stopped in by accident. This place absolutely made our day. A total surprise. Award winning wines, great feel, friendly ownership and attention to detail all in the middle of the Adirondacks. Who knew!?! We bought three bottles and I should have bought a case. We will definitely be back again. I can’t say enough without spoiling the surprises of this little gem in the woods. Most definitely worth the trip. Don’t forget to ask Gary how the place was built ;)

We (group of 14) came to the Winery for a birthday party. It is located in a very rural, out-​of –the way area and I am sure is very nice during late spring/​summer/​fall. The building was a very quaint and nice wood-​tone (and it has a really nice outhouse!).
When we got there, our group took over the back room and continued to drink a lot. Instead of us having a wine tasting, we turned it into our own private wine bar with cheese. I am sure it would have been more of a traditional wine tasting experience if we came with a more normal sized group not trying to party.
All in all though, Gary (wine maker and owner I think) took pretty good care of us and made it a very nice time, even if no one really knew what was going on. They could have had things a bit more organized.
If you come, try to not come with more than 5 – 6 people — the location is not suited for it.
