The Welcome Centers in Mississippi are attractions unto themselves, each built to resemble antebellum structures known throughout the state. They are beautifully decorated with fine antique furnishings. Neatly manicured grounds feature picnic tables and grills, water fountains, telephones, RV waste disposal facilities, 24-hour security, restrooms and weather information. Motor coach parking is available, as well as complimentary refreshments. The Welcome Center staff can answer any questions you have, and can even help with lodging reservations. During the school summer break parents can find brochures of local entertainment. Its proximity to the intersection of Highway 72 and Highway 45 make Corinth an ideal site for one of the state’s Welcome Centers. The Alcorn County Welcome Center was completed in 1998. Built in the colonial style complete with antiques from the 1800’s.
