The cheesesteak was decent to me, it could have had more flavor. The staff is completely rude and the restaurant isn’t as clean. The staff do not greet you when you walk in and they have no interest in helping you as you order.

I agree with Benjamin’s review below. The food is actually pretty good, however the restaurant is very dirty! As I sat down awaiting my order I couldn’t help but notice the dirty floor. The glass displays on the counter were nasty. The girl taking my order seemed to be annoyed when I asked questions. The longer I sat I wondered what Robert Irvine of Restaurant Impossible would say about this place. I will not be going back.

This is a place that we will definitely be returning to. This was one of the best cheesesteak sandwiches I’ve ever had. Granted, I’ve never been to Philly, but this was still extremely tasty. It was nice and hot, juicy, flavorful, and well, just plain good. The restaurant wasn’t spotless, but it sure wasn’t dirty either. Now I will say that as we walked in, the gentleman behind the counter did immediately welcome us in. They weren’t extremely friendly, but they sure weren’t rude either. Overall, I really liked it and I suggest giving them a try.

2 stars is because the food is actually pretty good. The staff however, and cleanliness of the restaurant is pretty poor. The staff isn’t too friendly especially within 1 hour of closing time… Yea not 10 minutes, 1 hour. I went in around 815, they close at 9… They already had the chairs up on all tables except for 2. They don’t greet you or smile because apparently they are ready to be done working. The tables had lettuce and stuff in the seats and trash actually on top of the table. I wish could make their staff and cleanliness on the same level as their food. I have gone about 3 times at night and the same experience every time.

Let me preface this review by saying that I consider myself something of a sandwich professional. Sandwiches are hands down my favorite thing to eat whether the restaurant is upscale or a hole in the wall. With that said, today was my second time in 72 hours to eat here. Both times I’ve gotten the cheesesteak sandwich and my girlfriend has gotten the chicken. I love it because the menu is very basic meaning they don’t give you a lot of options but what they do offer they do very well. The sandwiches are made after you order them and the bread is warm and soft. For two of us to eat here it has been at least $ 20 both times. For the sides you can choose fries, curly fries, onion rings, or chips. This might be my favorite non-BBQ sandwich in Memphis.(It’s kind of a tie between here and the chicken cheesesteak at Young Avenue Deli) I highly encourage others to try this spot.

Ok so I’ve only been to philly connection once before with my husband. and oh my was it an experience to remember. I LOVED the philly cheesesteak sub. And today while at work the craving hits me so I try calling them to place an order. I’m not kidding when I say I tried calling them 5 times. No answer, except for the last time in which someone picked up the phone, didn’t say anything, and just set it down. Clearly to stop the phone from ringing… So unbelivably rude. Can’t believe it. They had my business in the palm of their hand, but if that’s how they want to treat a paying customer, I’m moving on to other sub shops.

My husband and I stopped here for a quick lunch date while running errands. It was truly a pleasant surprise. The lady that took our order was very patient with us as we explained that we were first timers. I love the variety of choices — even with the fries. I wish the dining area was just a tiny bit bigger but we will definitely be back.

Probably one the best cheese steaks that is close to authenic. Being from Philly, I miss my cheesesteaks, this place is close. Its the itailian roll that makes the chessesteaks so good. I tried them all here in Memphis and now I will only go to Philly Connection!

I am not a philly expert, far from it. I just know what my taste buds like and they really like these sammies. There’s really nothing special about this place looks wise. The staff is nice but nothing outstanding. The menu is what I am in love with. The options are perfect and the product is very satisfying. The perfectly melty cheese on tender meat surrounded by a white bun. Mmm. The fries are surprisingly amazing. They may actually be the best plain fries I have ever had.

The food is excellent. I’ve been to Philly Connection a few times, and it was delicious every time. The main cook really has his stuff down and knows his way around the grill. The only reason I didn’t give Philly Connection five stars is because, well honestly, it could’ve been a little greasier!

Great food! I love this place. I come when i need a step up from your typical fast food joint. Some people might be a little frustrated because it takes 6 or 7 minutes to get your food, but this is because they are literally cooking it in front of you to order. It’s great. Always satisfies my hunger. Not as clean as I would like, but it’s still a wonderful place for a casual family lunch.

Food was really good, but the olé review was for the service. I had a terrible experience because the new cashier was on her second day of work & treat me with the most disrespect. If you want to be treated like a prisoner this place is a great food destination. :)

First and only time that I will probably ever go here. I’m feeling generous so I gave them 3 stars. I called in an order for me and 5 others from my place of work. I called right before I left because I knew it would take about 15 – 20 minutes to get here. The girl on the phone said that it would take about that long to be ready. I thought perfect! It’ll take no time then. I got there and the guy making the sandwiches had the meat on the grittle but they hadn’t even started on the fries or cheese sticks yet. So they finished the sandwiches and put them under a warmer. They barely cooked the fries because they were not done. They were very soggy because they didn’t let them drain for long enough. The whole experience was just odd. They don’t seem to have time management down. They didn’t say much other than the total for the food. The meat was very bland. Definitely not worth a trip back. Oh and by the way… There were only 3 other customers in here so it’s not as if they were slammed with orders. They were all at the same table.

Food is quite good for non-Philly Philly Cheesesteak. I get the Cheesesteak Sub that comes with onions, tomatoes, lettuce, American cheese, olive oil and oregano. The buns are fresh and make the meal. My only complaint is that there has not been sweet tea so either they only make it once daily or the container is a mirage.

The staff here all looked at me like I was lost. The sandwich was outstanding, and made me even more eager to visit Philadelphia and have one of their authentic sandwiches. I will probably be back for another five-inch with American, mushrooms, peppers, and onions! The store and restroom were fairly clean– about as clean as a greasy fast-food place can be. Next time I will try the onion rings.

On par with steak escape and Charley’s at the mall. I don’t like the bread they use. It is too soft. I am spoiled by having real grinders up in New England area/NY/Philly. The bread tastes better up there. The place isn’t too busy. They need to clean tables/floor better.

Not the best cheese steak I’ve ever had but pretty good for a quick lunch. Food is fresh made and Hot! It’s a relatively small place but I had no problems getting a table. I’ve been here twice and I’ll probably go again.

Not bad. Needs something a little more to really be special. Just basic steak and toppings. No special flavor or flare. Had to ask for our table to be cleaned. Worker did apologize about it and was nice and then assigned someone else to clean the remaining tables.

Wow, my first review of a restaurant in my future home… I already have my go-to cheesesteak place and I haven’t even moved yet! I’m a little surprised to see the lackluster reviews for this place — we really like it. They serve authentic Philly cheesesteaks(lean sliced sirloin on Italian bread,) with all the usual choices for toppings. I got grilled onions, mushrooms, and provolone with sweet peppers(no option for hot peppers, unfortunately.) The steak was great, the fries were great, and the onion rings were great. On top of that all, they have Birch Beer in the soda fountain(OK, it’s Fanta, but that’s better than nothing,) and sell Tastycakes. The infinite Birch Beer alone would get this place 5 stars, even if the steaks, fries, and onion rings weren’t also great.

We just stopped in to grap a quick sandwich«to go». The sandwich I had was pretty good, and not too expensive. The cleanliness of the dining room lacked attention. When we walked in there were a couple of dirty tables. as we sat and waited for our food, I noticed they really need to take a cleaning rag to the white walls that line the tables… We didn’t try anything but the sandwich.
