My husband and I usually seek out Microtel hotels when we’re out of town, because since they’re owned by Wyndham, they tend to be consistent across the board. This one was no exception. I paid $ 59 and $ 69 for weeknight and weekend, respectively, for a trip in September(2015). The hotel is tucked back behind a Costco, which feels kindof weird, but it’s pretty quiet. It’s right there with another hotel. Front desk reception was good at midnight when I arrived. The room I was given was about 20 feet away from the front desk, so I didn’t see much of the carpet or floors. This was strictly a business trip, and I work from my laptop, so I was totally holed up in my room for over two days. The room was perfect for this type of arrangement(getting away from the kids and family for the weekend to do nothing but WORK). The bed was nice quality and sheets were clean. There was a large area for sitting, with a couch, microwave, and fridge. I was especially impressed with this because the biggest expense when traveling is usually food; I got myself a 12-pack of my favorite soda and a case of water for the fridge and went out for food once as a treat, keeping the leftovers for later. The staff was friendly; like I said, I was totally hiding in my room the whole time, and had the«Do not disturb» placard on my door knob, so I didn’t have much interaction with employees. I even bagged my own trash and took it to the front counter. :-P The last night I was there, a Saturday, there seemed to be a couple of groups of people who were louder than I would have liked — stomping around on the floors above and slamming doors. But I’ve found that to be true of any hotel; people aren’t respectful of others no matter how much you pay for a room. The breakfast was great for the price of the room. No, you’re not going to get a hot buffet for $ 60 a night, but there was a coffee machine, juice, a toaster for bagels, plenty of yogurt, fresh fruit, water, and cereal selections. Not many budget-friendly hotels will have more than that, so I am not sure what exactly people expect. I also like that it’s so close to the interstate on the East side, as I’m traveling from Nashville. A word of advice though — two weeks ago when using Google maps on my phone, it directed me to go to the OPPOSITE side of the interstate. Luckily I’m from Memphis so I knew that wasn’t right. I would stay here again. It’s a good value for the price, and I feel like the experience would depend a lot on who is in the other rooms around you during your stay. But guess what? That’s true at a $ 200-a-night hotel as well!

Stayed there and had problems. Left my(expensive) personal pillow and called two hours after leaving. Brandon at the front desk(nice guy) said they had the pillow and would save it for me until I returned in 20 days. When I returned the pillow was gone from where he had placed it. He was genuinely caring and apologized but someone there took my pillow. Also when leaving we notice airconditioner was infested with ants. The breakfast is skimpy, tiny cello wrapped muffins and bagels are most substantial items. And to add insult to injury they have tv in lobby set to the birther/teabagger Fox news network.

Stayed her one night for business. On the positive side the hotel was clean and centrally located. On the big negative, check-in was 3pm. I called an hour before my arrival to make sure the room was ready. I arrived at 3:30pm and was told the room wasn’t ready but would be in 20 – 30 minutes. I went to dinner. And arrived back at 5:30pm and the room still wasn’t ready. Took about another 30minutes for it to be ready. If you don’ have to be on any sort of timetable this is a decent place to stay.

The room was awesome! Reasonable rates. Only 1 complaint, no mini-fridge in our room. But all in all great stay.
