Just passing through and stopped for lunch. Everything was spot on, starting with great garlic rolls. Fried chicken special, chicken salad and veggies from a good selection were all fresh and tasty. Not very busy at lunchtime and excellent friendly service.

Awesome bar with more than the standard booze. Had a couple Widow Jane bourbons and the pork chop with broccoli and cheese. Delicious and a nice portion. Our server, Jessica, was fabulous and everyone at the table enjoyed their experience.

Excellent road house style eatery. Great salads that were very fresh. The chopped steak with Mac and cheese were very tasty, beyond expectation. Reasonable wines too. God food, good prices and nice place to stop for a bite.

I grew up in Cordele and it’s great to see restaurants stick around and give locals more options, especially ones that are pretty tasty! The garlic buttered bread was amazing, and my wife and I just had to get another serving after quickly devouring the first. I had the grilled pork chop and it was actually very good. It was delicious and savory, hinted with rosemary and other herbs that gave it great flavor. The sides however, were a bit lacking. My green beans were good, but a little overcooked. It was the Mac and cheese that made me frown though. After years of eating terrible Mac and cheese at school cafeterias, and sometimes even hospitals, I was hoping to never run into Mac like this again. It was disappointing to have such a fantastic pork chop coupled with over cooked beans and mac and cheese that should have been left in a high school cafeteria. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. Both the sandwich and fries were great, and I couldn’t help but sneak a few fries! But man oh man, that Sea Salted Caramel Cheese Cake was DIVINE. I was sad that I wasn’t able to finish the whole thing because I was so full, but it has to be said. It. Was. DELICIOUS. The service is worth mentioning as well, because Miss Christina did a great job taking care of us. Overall, it was a good dinner, and with a little more work, and a little more care, maybe next time my wife and I are down, 16 East will earn a fantastic Five Stars!

Stopped by for lunch to momentarily escape the long drive from Wisconsin to Southwest Florida. The location is super convenient, just a few blocks from I75. We had some great food. Much better than the other chain-restaurants typically available.

This is a great spot! My husband is working in Cordele for a few weeks and I came up for our anniversary. He chose this restaurant for dinner. It was soooo good! He had chicken cordon bleu and really enjoyed it. Chicken had a great smoky flavor. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken and it was amazing! Mac n cheese was average, zucchini was awesome and cooked well. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Not that bad for the area. I travel a good bit for work and try to spend my money at local places when I can. I looked around and found this place with the help of Unilocal.Overall not that bad had the Parmesan crusted chicken with mash potatoes and zucchini. A safe choice I know but sounded good. Chicken a little over cooked but better than under cooked. The zucchini and potatoes were good. The price was ok for what I got. Overall I will go back the next time I am in town.

Truly fantastic restaurant for locals but right off 75. The wings were very good moist not dry.. Rare chopped sirloin was really rare and absolutely delicious with a mushroom gravy sauce. We definitely recommend the pork chop. They are not kidding in their description! The side dishes included excellent cabbage collard greens mash potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The kids love the sweet potato waffle fries. Even the grilled cheese was above average. Needless to say, the wait staff was absolutely fantastic and we will be back!

Lived in Cordele for about 2+ years &16 East is my saving grace. I’m used to being in a place with lots of options and fun as far asa restaurants go… and this place is far above anything else in town! Love their food, I’ve tried almost everything! The do fish well anyway it’s ordered! We love their specials and shrimp! Everything on the menu is wonderful! Always have a great time there & sometimes they have live music on the patio!

We were heading south on I-75 and it was lunch time. There are long stretches with few places to eat. Cordele was our last chance for quite a while. Out of the many restaurants, mostly chain, down the packed stretch of road off of exit 101, 16 East held promise. It had many positive Unilocal reviews. It’s freestanding, large and nicely decorated, although the colors are a bit too intense. The lunch menu is small and American. I got the feeling we needed to order carefully. I chose a small sirloin steak with a house salad and sautéed spinach. The waitress was puzzled by the spinach and checked my menu to make sure it was indeed a side order. Uh-oh. The salad was boring, the steak was a bit tough, but flavorful and properly cooked to medium rare. The spinach was inedible. It was shockingly salty. It was in a little bowl swimming in what looked like the pot likker(sp?) from greens. It was a blessing that it was a tiny amount. I made up a story in my head where the kitchen gets the order: Sautéed spinach? Is that on the menu? What should I do? Put it in the greens liquid? Whoa, look at how the spinach cooks down! Dude, I threw in a BIG handful! No, I’m not going to taste it. It’s good enough. My husband got the 16 East salad which he said was too small and overpriced at $ 12.99. It had a nice amount of sliced avocado on it that was under ripe, hard and with a nasty taste. Some of the lettuce was brown. He said he feared he was eating something that was going to make him sick. The sound system was annoying. The whole time we were there it would go back and forth between a normal loud volume and a very soft volume. I asked our waitress about it and she said she thought it was a problem with the satellite.

a slightly above average experience… if this spot was picked up and moved to a larger town such as thomasville or Valdosta I’m not sure it would make it — for Cordele it’s a great break from the norm… I enjoyed my meal(shrimp po-boy and chips) however it didn’t really stand out — their house sauce for the chips is ok nothing special I definitely will return and try other items next time I’m in town and may even come up and try the dinner seen as they seem to have a pretty decent craft beer selection

Best place in town! We had chopped sirloin topped with peppers, onion & mushrooms and a side of grilled zucchini and chicken cordon blue with broccoli and cheese. Both served with salads and amazing rolls. Callie was the most attentive and contentious server I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. Thanks!!! We will be back.

Don’t be fooled by the negative reviews. If your a local I’m sure you hate this place. It’s pricy for the AREA! But just right. The service is great. The food selection is not that of the area also! Very very good relative to GA. It’s the only place to have a good meal in town.

Bright and modern interior. Hostess was too busy drawing on the specials board to look up and say hello when I entered(and waited), but the server, Tanner, was prompt and friendly. The wine list was conservative. There was nothing on the list for someone to explore something different. That’s a bit of a shame because, as one of the only restaurants of their kind in the city, I’d have hoped they would give their regulars the option to try something new. But the Louis Martini(Sonoma) cab — while oddly decanted in a stemless glass — was not served too warm; perfectly completing a tender, wood-seared ribeye. As I was merely passing through town, it’s possible I may never return. But I will remember this meal fondly.
